If that’s your definition of world-class, then after the CT25, this stadium will be world-class once the roof is added.Something that has a roof.![]()
World class is Arbab Niaz Stadium that has pillars blocking the view of spectators and that is still incomplete. For Months I have been hearing this amazing stadium in Lahore. Can someone tell me what is international class, never mind World class.
politics and cricket shouldn't mix the team represents and the stadiums represent Pakistan regardless who runs the government.lol even Indian Supporters are mostly appreciating the Stadium while Fans of a Certain Political party cant stop finding faults with the stadium arrangements.![]()
But it was never claimed to be World class. Ask Afridi why a simple renovation has become World class. Only in your little World does a renovation count as World classWorld class is Arbab Niaz Stadium that has pillars blocking the view of spectators and that is still incomplete.![]()

I said what is World class about it and it triggered the mafia. Do you think it's World class?what's your issue? the fans who will be watching games in the stadium are happier so are the cricketers like Afridi who live in Pakistan and will be visiting the stadium frequently? you don't even live in Pakistan
When will Arbab Niazi Stadium open for domestic cricket?World class is Arbab Niaz Stadium that has pillars blocking the view of spectators and that is still incomplete.![]()
Why is it hurting you so much? Are you unhappy with the stadium renovation? Are you unhappy about Pakistan progressing in any way? How pathetic. But it was never claimed to be World class. I hope they fix the design flaws as the provincial capital badly needs an international quality stadium. The whole way it has been dealt with is farcical. When will Arbab Niazi Stadium open for domestic cricket?
Well Peshawar stadium was constructed aswell. Many studies has shown that the corrupt people in government are always interested in constructing building as the margin of easy corruption and making money is greatest in that but they are not much interested in improving the infra-structure or improving the system for long term benefit. Same is the case here, billions of rupees spent on upgrading two stadiums and no planning and money spent on improving the domestic FC structure. Result is obvious , some people got richer and cricket standard in the country and national team's performance has hit rock bottom.
You think the same about the Arbab Niaz Stadium, right? Just curious. Many studies has shown that the corrupt people in government are always interested in constructing building as the margin of easy corruption and making money is greatest in that but they are not much interested in improving the infra-structure or improving the system for long term benefit. Peshawar stadium dont know what to say.I hope they fix the design flaws as the provincial capital badly needs an international quality stadium. The whole way it has been dealt with is farcical.
Tahir bhai, i really respect you for putting Pakistan first. I saw your post in the thread, massive respect.Peshawar stadium dont know what to say.
While the stand and seating looka ok even with block view as it wont matter much because its very close to the ground and top tier is totally clear.
But the pavilion is somthing which is very badly design
It loom like a hostel building with no media center look and on side they left part of old building at the back yet front of it look all empty they could have built hospitality rooms
And on top of pavilion its empty too they can build a media center type building something like lords which will give it a whole new look. And also they built on 1 pavilion which is another flaw.
On top the roof are way too high standing
It should have been more bent
PJL was a great idea and it was money well spent. Also , you need to check the background of the people involved in the project . Ramiz was never blamed for any corruption , you can disagree with his plans but he never involved in any fraud , same is case with Ehsan Mani( PTI men ) . Zaka Ashraf , Sethi and Naqvi are in the league of their own. I give some credit to Sethi, he did something really good like PSL but other two, pure corruption and disaster for Pakistan cricket. You think the same about the Arbab Niaz Stadium, right? Just curious.
And would like to know your opinions on money spent on PJL and no one knows where those players went?

I'm not saying everyone in PTI is an angel but at least cricket is well and alive in KPK, unlike Punjab and Sindh .Well Peshawar stadium was constructed aswell.
Could you plz share source of these studies?
I think you have to give them credit for building it despite no gurantee of international cricket in that region. As it was government project it is hard when you have to go through the bureaucracy where they dont release funds on time.Tahir bhai, i really respect you for putting Pakistan first. Im sorry to say the provinical govt in KPK is quite incompetent when it comes to infrastructure projects. Their metro is a proven example of an absolute failure, with costs going wayyy over budget. Arbab Niaz Stadium is another on the list of epic failures.
I do agree with your points and believe by hiring a foreign consultant the design can be reviewed and amended. I also believe they should handover the stadium to pcb to construct as the provinical govt is only good for protesting, political campaigns and not for getting actual work done.
Worst time was zaka ashraf that guy tried his best to destroy Pakistan cricketPJL was a great idea and it was money well spent. Should stay as PcB chairman till all the stadiums are renovated after that he can go any where he likesNaqvi will become the next PM. PCB should make the most of him now. By far the best chairman we have ever had.
