Shahid Afridi proving yet again he is the most recognizable cricketer and biggest cricketing celebrity (apart from Imran Khan) to come out of Asia.

Shahid Afridi proving yet again he is the most recognizable cricketer and biggest cricketing celebrity (apart from Imran Khan) to come out of Asia.

Correction...
Most recognizable cricketing celebrity to come out of Pakistan after Imran Khan

How does he get so much recognition by the rest of the world, despite putting in half the work so many of our other well known cricketers put in... it's insane.

He has a town in Texas where they have a national holiday for him in his name.

Random Tennis and Basketball stars know who he is but don't know anyone else from cricket.

Google invites him as special guest.

He's done peanuts for Pakistan cricket compared to someone like Wasim, Miandad or Imran.

I guess you can have a so-so product but if your marketing and personal branding is on point you will make heads (and shoulders) turn.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's the most well known star to people outside the cricketing world.

Afridi still milking the fame...

Good for him though - brand and image is just as important to succeed in one's career than talent and hardwork.

Afridi's social work surely does need a recognition, which he's gotten in this event.

Dont think Google was compelled to invite him over his cricketing achievements.

Half of those guys at Google are Indians anyway.

Shows the size of our hearts - they're rather big.
