Respect to SL side.. Coming to Pakistan after what happened to their cricket team just 8 years back deserves lot of applause.

Gunatilaka...a class player, would love for him to get a 80+ score tomorrow

Huge respect to these SL cricketers.

These are small but very important steps that is slowly bringing International cricket back to Pakistan.

Lahore pitch is a batting paradise, would hopefully be a high scoring encounter. Will be good for our batsmen except Shehzad.

Wishing Pakistan all the best. I laugh and joke and tease about so and so being better but am a deeper level we are brothers and I wish Pakistan a safe return of full international cricket. For today (and just today) Pakistan Zindabad and all the very best of safety. :)

Your best post since you joined. Shame those 604 previous posts were more troll than civil.

Thank you. Why can not be positive like that all the time? lol

A bit of trolling but many good posts - perhaps they are too deep for you? :D

More seriously, I have watched more cricket than most (almost 50 years!) and have the benefits of my viewing (and playing) experience to guide my views. But that is all for a different day, this is Pakistan's day and I pray that everything goes well. I want us to tour Pakistan and beat you but that requires today to go swimmingly.

Respect to the Sri Lanka team for coming to Pakistan. Won't have been an easy decision for these players. Inshallah it's an incident free game. And hopefully the pitch is up to standard.

all credit to lanka,
inshallah I hope its a very safe and great match, high scoring also I hope that lanka win a tight match
and that all of pakistan applause them after!

Respect to the Sri Lankan team. Best of luck to them in the upcoming T20 game.

It's a great beginning, respect for SRL players and good luck for both teams. It's probably better that it's a dead rubber - the occasion is much bigger than a series decider.

Respect for PCB Chairman and his team.

A small part of me wants Lanka to win. It would be nice way to end a miserable LOI tour for them.

Almost 50 years?
Have you followed any cricket in the 1960s?
Interested to know about the domestic structure of East and West Pakistan cricket during those days..hope you can make a thread about it

Absolutely brilliant guys. Heartening to see international team returning to pakistan. Zimbabwe, PSL, World XI and now Sri Lanka. This is very good to see. Wishing a safe and successful match.

I hope the plan to host West Indies for three T20s is also on track. What is the status on that?

Thank you to the Sri Lankan team and management for taking this big step.Kudos to the PCB who made a lot of efforts to make this possible. Also the SLCB for agreeing to tour and convincing the players.

Respect to the SL team. Have a safe stay and enjoy the food and hospitality of pakistani people:)

Really happy to see the gracious welcome by the locals, hope they continue to cheer for them in the match today also. Sri Lankans have taken an important step for Pakistan cricket after what they faced 9 years back.

An important step for many Pakistanis to watch international cricket at home.

Special thanks to the Sri Lankan players, Sri Lankan Cricket board and Sri Lankan Sports ministry who made this happen.

We Pakistanis need to get a reality check of who are our real brother and friends, and they are'nt Bangladeshis. Bangladeshis could've easily come to play a match in Pakistan but they did'nt. Such things should'nt be forgotten or forgiven.

On the way to the match, going to be a really exciting and fun day!

That's an awfully long time. Assuming you're from Bangladesh, you were originally a Pakistan supporter! :))

I'm guessing if this match goes off successfully it will be a lot more likely that West Indies will come.

Well I took to cricket in my teens and moved overseas not too much later. I cheer for Pakistan more than Mamoon I can promise that. :))
