Islamabad United Launch Official Kit for PSL4
Lahore, 31 January 2019 – Islamabad United, the winners of the inaugural HBL PSL and the
defending champions from PSL3, are pleased to announce the launch of its new official kit.
The kit was released on Islamabad United’s digital platforms today.
The design is a major overhaul from the team’s previous look, as the Franchise moves towards
a sleeker, dynamic design more attuned to the developed global standards in sporting wear.
Regarding the kit launch, Amna Naqvi, the Owner and CEO of Islamabad United said, “We
have always prioritized quality and providing premium top-notch products to our players. The
changes we have made for our kits over the past three years have been reflective of that. This
design is no different. We are adopting a vibrant, stylish look that gels well with the ethos of
our Franchise and brand identity and look forward to a continuing era of success for Islamabad
United.”
The colours adopted in the new kit form the core identity of United as a team and what it
represents. The details of which can be found below-
Flame Red - Represents Power and Intellect. Islamabad United is the #DimaghSe Team. We
believe in equipping ourselves with the modern tools of sporting success.
Fire Red - Represents Passion and Skill. Traits that form a core part of ISLU and Pakistan’s
firebrand sporting identity. Cricket is in our blood as a nation #CricketJorrayPakistan!
Flame Gold - Represents Unity and Fair play. We play as one in the ISLU Family and are
proud to represent the entire federation in our own league. We strongly believe that
#UnitedWeWin as a team and as a nation.
The Two Star Sheru Logo - Represents Pride, Honour and Regalia. ISLU takes immense
pride in being the only two-time champions of the PSL. The team is ready to #RoartoVictory
as it mounts its Championship defense.
The fabric of the new kit, the ISLU Sherus will be donning as they get ready to mount their
defence of the Title is of the highest international standards as well. Tried and tested after
several rounds of modification to best fit the needs of modern-day T-20 cricket as well as the
variable climate present in the UAE and Pakistan. It is several shades lighter in weight, soft
and pleasant to the touch, has excellent breathability as well as allows for good air and water
permeability. The kit is dimensionally stable even when wet, and controls for optimum heat
and moisture regulation.
