So Hassan Nawaz arises as one of the contenders, with Saim & Fakhar being the first choices, throw in M Haris as well with wicketkeeping his competitive advantage. Wonder does Sharjeel fit in scheme of things he cannot be water boy due to poor fitness. May be @Rana can answer this.
 
Sharjeel in his left posterior cheek has more white ball power and talent than Rizzu Symonds and Zimbu

I guess, Sharjeel Khan has a T20 SR of 133 thats definitely not out of this world so stop portraying him as someone with Midas touch.

Beside for posters who don't know he was caught spot fixing and also got banned

Sharjeel Khan is one of the best white ball products in Pakistan history. He is certified. Rated by the GOAT Fakhar Zaman himself.

Bobsy tuk tuk and Rizzu learn fans should know their auqaat when talking about a certified Hitman like Sharjeel.

Anwar was a great bat but pity I could never watch him live as he had retired way before I was even born.
Same with nazir as well.He was a deadly batter in T20s in his prime.On par with gayle and McCallum

Farhan is a good batter but the he lacks proper strike rotation.
He has the potential to bat at a sr of 155 max
Still none of our batters are on par with even vaibhav suryavanshi.

So how will we define the tainted legacy of Sharjeel Khan, definitely he was not David Warner level nor Rohit sharma's league , a career SR just above 130 doesn't gauge well add to it the faulty technique. His fielding well butter fingers will be an understatement.


Putting him at Amwars level is insult to the great man !, I dare say he is not even at Imran Nazir or Shahid Afridis level

Putting Rizwan in the same category as Jaysuriya, Chris Gayle, Gilchrist and Sehwag is a bigger blasphemy in cricketing terms.

You people are guilty of this shameful act.

He’s probably an example of just how far talent alone takes you. He didn’t rely on footwork, fitness, technique or even stay away from fixing. Just hand eye coordination. And a bit of practice/working on skill. I’m not sure I can think of a player as talented as Sharjeel to disregard the other facets of the game/being a sportsman like that. But that’s probably his reality, he realised even at youth level he could rise up the ranks even up to international level without bothering to do the rest. In some ways a victim of his own talent.

He was the worst out of the fixers. He chose to fix with an extra source of income in PSL and an international regular, after seeing the punishment of the trio. And then after receiving a much shorter ban than the others due to PCB being able to handle the case internally, did nothing in terms of fitness in order to help his comeback once his ban finished. There’s a chance some or all of the trio may not have even fixed had they had both PSL incomes and long careers in internationals ahead of them in multiple formats.

Sharjeel’s legacy is likely to be remembered for two things. Him being a fixer and him being overweight. It’s sad, but it’s his own fault. I do think he is most likely our most talented t20 batsman we have ever had. But hardly any games played and not even time for him to develop a good record, talent alone means nothing. He won’t be remembered in Pakistani cricket favourably.

Good , covered most of the points he should have made a decent career had he not done fixing which wasted his prime years but glorifying him at the level of Saeed Anwar is more than exaggeration

This is a fair statement.

A close friend of mine once played for the Middlesex academy, and although he isn’t Pakistani, he was in awe by just how naturally talented Imran Nazir was.

There was an excellent article about him years ago that explored this in detail, though I haven’t been able to track it down since. People often overlook the fact that his maiden Test century came against Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh. Scoring 131 in Barbados as a 19 year old opener against that kind of attack is no small feat. The pitch there is notoriously difficult, with its pace and bounce making it one of the toughest surfaces to bat on in the Caribbean.

Frankly, I don’t believe Babar or Rizwan would have managed a hundred against that same bowling line-up in Barbados.

Sadly, Nazir never fulfilled his potential. Poor coaching held him back, and unlike some of Pakistan’s greats, he never had the benefit of county cricket experience to refine his game.
