Why only pick on Babar in Ind-Pak ODI matches....??
Let's compare Babar with other 59 batsmen who have scored 200+ runs in the India-Pakistan ODI rivalry.... (since Babar has scored only 241 runs vs India).
A few points to be noted:
All time great Nasir Jamshed has the best average.... between India vs Pakistan matches.
Pandya is at #2.
Raina, Malik and Hafeez average better that Sachin.
Misbah is just below Sachin but the all-time Tuk-Tuk master has better S/R than Sachin in India-Pak rivalry.
Gavaskar and Irfan Pathan have almost the same batting average.
Babar and Azharuddin average almost the same.
Afridi averages 2 points better than Laxman but his S/R is 30 points better than Laxman.
Kapil Dev - who won 1983 WC with his fantastic 175, averages 15
Salman Butt has scored 5 100s vs India in 21 matches where as Sachin has score same number of 100 in 69 matches.

Speaking of Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib, Saqi and all....
Sachin got out to Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib and Saqi..... 14 times.
whereas he got out to Azhar, Razzaq, Sami and Aaqib .....20 times.
Besides those ... he also played many Pakistani bowlers who could get their own grandmas out... here is the list of Pakistani bowlers who got Sachin's wicket...

Babar has been a faliure against India. There is no question about it. Until and Unless he scores a winning hundred. It will be the same.

Played reasonably OK today. 26 from 29 under pressure in a must win game. Decent SR. Pitch isn't exactly a patta.

I know that standards have fallen to minnow level. Its this mindset that is part of the whole issue.
Being content with 20 runs. The indian opening bowling in this match is nothing special, should have made it count, but when has Babar actually performed since like years in big games.

Kohli scored a 100 this was pretty much a flat pitch.. India would had scored 300 if it was needed.

I will tell you this: it will never end ... why? CT 2017 Final and the 2021 T20 WC win . Because a similar team prevailed over India, therefore PCB will persist with that same "formula" lol

Babar Azam seems too content in his own bubble unwilling to step out of his comfort zone or evolve his game. The greatest players have an elite mindset and thrive under pressure unfortunately he falls short in both areas.
