Wow what a final, a last ball thriller. Lahore becomes the first team in PSL to defend their title. After the poor showings in the first 6 editions of the PSL they have finally built a champion team. Bolwers win tournaments and Lahore has built up a formidable attack. Shaheen Shah Afridi has been a brilliant captain leading from the front. Congrats to the Sultans!!

What a great advert for the tournament. And Lahore were the best team, so it’s justice that they won.

Can’t wait to bump all of Aqib’s epic statements throughout the year

He is the Jose Mourinho of franchise cricket now!!

What a stunning effort from Shaheen, after the near career ending injury he has come back with a bang, that takes guts and spirit, he has been criticised by fickle fans but he has lead from the front. LQ have a spectacular bowling attack, the best in T20’s and they have a nice well balanced team who are lead by talisman, they’ve come together nicely and delivered when it mattered, what you expect from a cohesive unit.

Many congrats!

"so many guys have stood up through the tournament. 8 different guys have won man of the match awards and that tells you the quality through the squad" - Sikander Raza

Congratulations Lahore! Excellent win, but in the end Pakistan are the winners. Find some good talents this season as well.

What a win, what a clutch performance by Shaheen

Yes, great stuff Lahore. So happy to see my home city win back to back PSLs. Lets complete a hattrick of PSL wins next year. :ssa

great win for Lahore, winning back to back championships is tough in any league, also its interesting to see that players like rashid khan throwing themselves all over the place for the team, and others looking so invested, whilst some other players look like they cant wait to get home for two of the other franchises.

congratulations to Lahore. THey were a laughing stock and now look. The only team to ahve defended a psl title.

Karachi waloo dekhooooooo

Congratulations to the PCB for organizing and hosting the most successful PSL tournament in Pakistan

Record sold out crowds. Excellent opening ceremony. Excellent entertaining pitches, excellent arrangements. All this when Pakistan is experiencing its worst economic and political turmoil in its history.

Hopefully this will be the most profitable PSL for the PCB.

Befitting that this happened under the watch of the father of the PSL Najam Sethi.

Well deserved LQ. A franchise run properly with development programs and a clear business model in mind..

Congrats Lahore. Wanted Multan to win, but Lahore clinched it under pressure. Well done to them.

Their bowling is wonderful to watch.

A lovely balance to their bowling with all bases covered.

Deserving winners.

Congratulations. It was a great game of cricket and the best team won the final.

Pakistan is going to be a great team in the upcoming years. Babar and Rizwan forced all batters in Pakistan to improve their game and also challenged all openers in Pakistan to show what they are made of.

I will never ever forget PSL 8.

Good tournament. I can easily name Pakistan’s best T20 team based off the back of that.

1. Muhammad Haris
2. Saim Ayub
3. Fakhar Zaman
(Note: Top 3 interchangeable)

4.Abdullah Shafique
5. Azam Khan (W/K)
6. Imad Wasim
7. Shadab Khan
8. Shaheen (c)
9. Naseem
10. Ihsanullah

Too many other bowlers to choose from. Based on PSL and other performances - horses for courses

11. Faheem (obv further up the order if he plays), Zaman, Rauf, Abrar, Usama Mir

Back to Back champions stuff of legends Real Madrid Ac Mian Manchester United and now Lahore Qalandars

3 in a row?

Solid base of players already there.

People need to see how the Lahore Qalandars management looks after their players even the ones sitting on the bench who didn't even play a game. They are literally gifting IPhone 14's, Plots, kanals, farmhouses in Qalandars City for fun.

This is how you create loyalty and inspire outsiders to want to play for their franchise.

In contrast Moin Khan was asked don't you think you guys should put some work in and atleast do some talent hunts, player development programs and his response was their is no need, Pakistans domestic cricket should be enough.

ARY Group which owns Karachi Kings should have even bigger pockets to motivate their players but their has to be a deep desire to run their franchise professionally and to truly make it a proper brand.

Imagine if they have Harry Brook returning next year :)

Absolutely and I'm sure they'll do plenty more work with their talent hunt programmes and no doubt unearth some talent.

On the flip side though the danger is that Lahore and Multan are pulling away from the rest of the field with each year.

I see your second point, but its nowhere near as concerning as the decline in form of Quetta and Karachi.

Wow, I remember the first four seasons of PSL... Lahore Qalandars finishing last place, known as the joke team. It was embarrassing to be a Qalandars supporter. But what a turnaround! its been since 2020. Three Finals and Two Trophies!

It was never embarrassing to finish last

Qalandars is a vibe. It’s a Junoon!

Without wanting to derail the thread, both can learn a lot from the Qalandars philosophy and model.

Congratulations to my brothers across the Wagah border.

LQ have certainly turned it around from their early years as also-rans.

By the way, no sign of the Rana brother who was always shown when they were struggling.

Very odd because he is the one who supported this team so publicly when the chips were down!

By the way, no sign of the Rana brother who was always shown when they were struggling.

Apparently he sold the Franchise to his brothers ie Rana Fawad and Sameen Rana. Sameen Rana is the Chief Operating Officer of the Franchise and Rana Fawad is the Ceo of the franchise.
