I haven't seen this lad bowl before but he is well worth investing in. He is tall, with a high action and also quick, around 88mph. Look out for this young bowler

Played a match or two for Multan Sultans as emerging pacer before getting injured last season of PSL. Showed some potential there as well.

Has looked very good in the couple games that he’s played so far. Was making Rohail Nazir and Nasir Nawaz pure tail enders

R U talking about the kpk bowler?

I thought he looked good, tall and gets great bounce but I don't think he is 88 mph.

That's very good speed then. Hopefully he plays full qea this season.

That would make a lot of sense. The lad now needs to develop his skill set and improve his fitness levels. He has a lot going for him, someone higher needs to take an interest in his development

Ihsanullah certainly has potential. He is what 6.5- 6.6? All that height and awkward bounce really is something.

Ihsanullah- kpk pacer

A thread was already opened but the mods unfortunately mistakenly merged it Irfanullah thread.

But he deserves a thread because he is perhaps the one bowler who has grabbed the most eyeballs this Nt20.

Ihsanullah is a tall (~6.5) bowler from kpk who generates great bounce , bowls at a pretty good pace and looks to have something special about him.

Almost no one has looked comfortable vs him and his overs have a special event feel to them.

He will be brilliant on SA and Australian wickets for Test cricket

Getting disconcerting bounce. One to look out for this domestic season.

Nobody gets as much bounce as him in Pakistan domestics currently. Reminds me of old westindian bowlers. Very good pace too. Genuine international prospect.

Quite literally head and shoulders above the other pacers playing in this tournament. Such a shame that Sindh didn't play Zeeshan and instead chose trundlers

Whenever you see him bowl to these domestic batters, it seems as if he is bowling at another level; it tells something about the quality of batting against bouncing ball but also tells a lot about the potential of this guy. He will surely play for Pakistan if he keeps working hard on his bowling by playing four-day/A-team tours.

Looks like the real deal. Tall, well built, high arm action, pace seems up too and his biggest talent is that he gets awkward bounce from length. Needs to be taken care of as a test prospect.

Good to see Pakistan have now some tall bowlers in Ihsanullah,Dahani,Afridi,Irfanullah.

Sameen was pretty threatening as well. I saw him bowl under lights to KP batters and they were made to look very ordinary by his swing and bounce with the new ball.

Yes he needs to play 4 day cricket.

Dahani isn’t that tall surprisingly. He has a high arm action but I believe he’s under 6 foot. Hasnain is taller.

Any idea how tall he is bro?

Around 6.5.

Tariq Saeed mentioned something like he is the tallest he has seen since irfan. Think he missed Shaheen but Tariq usually knows what he is talking about.

His quick rise highlights his special talent.

This guy is as faaar from a system product as can be and yet he comes out of nowhere and compels every single batsman to respect him.
His skipper too looks at him as his ace.

Oh ok thanks. To the eye he don't look as tall as Shaheen but if he is then wow that will be amazing in tests.

Agreed. I had no idea about his existence till I saw him last week in the National T20 cup. He has emerged out of nowhere, I am surprised how come this guy had not been part of the under-19 setup. He would have been the best bowler in last year's under 19 world cup.

Imagine him and Shaheen bowling in tandem in test matches. Two 6'5+ Imposing figures coming at you. A scary sight for any opposition.

This is why I like the idea of PJL. It's going to highlight some of these players coming up and preparing these kids for international cricket at an early age with fitness requirements, diets etc.

This bowler certainly looks impressive and has been taking wickets & being economical too. Looks like he did also play a couple of matches in PSL last season though. Didn't bowl much (1 over in 1 match, 2.2 overs in another match) but hopefully that'll be different in the upcoming PSL.

Sameen is growing on me but still looks a little overweight relative to what he needs to be.

He's had fitness issues I think in the last Qaid E Azam and didn't play all matches hopefully he continues to work on this aspect.

Attack of Shaheen,Ihsannullah,Dahani, and Naseem in Australia would be good.

He needs to put the hard yards in with lots of running. He is a bowler that could do well in places like England and NZ.

My only concern with PJL is that it might unknowingly push the young lot towards prioritising T20 cricket. They would see it as a pathway to get a PSL contract. And if some of them turn out to really impressive there, would get gigs in other T20 leagues and that would shrink their chances of honing their skills for the longest format.
Shadab is a prime example of that; he was fast-tracked in the team on the basis of PSL performances and progressively has become so busy with LOIs plus other leagues that he just can't find time to play the Quaid-e-Azam trophy matches. Resultantly, we are missing out on a potential spin bowling all-rounder at number 7. in test matches. Haris Rauf too has the same handicap; just can't find opportunities to play longer format.

The ratio of FC to T20 matches of our young cricketers is totally imbalanced, particularly our bowlers.

Mohammad Hasnain has played 7 FC and 87 T20s.
Haris Rauf has played 8 FC and 125 T20s.
Shadab Khan has played 17 FC (incl. 6 Tests) and 205 T20s.

Look I realise it's easier to play a higher volume of T20s in a shorter timeperiod, and the QEA Trophy takes place in a narrow two month window often clashing with our international commitments. However this ratio is ridiculous and is stunting their development.

If they aren't available for QEA, then the PCB should at least arrange A tours in the off-season so they've some exposure to long form cricket.

Should be our wild card entry in place of Hasnain along with Saim Ayub for Usman Qadir.

A lot of potential to work with, quite a few natural ingredients there to be a good fast bowler. In the end it all comes down to fitness and development.

reminds me of shabbir ahmed, very similar tall action, slightly shorter height I'm guessing. promising talent.

Tall fast bowler= get him in the squads. You need a stable of quicks and this guy has the tools at least.

In an ideal fast bowling lineup you have room for one little quick like a Curran or Hasan Ali/Abbas/Naseem and the rest you really want a couple of tall timbers.

More potential than selecting pop guns like Mohammad Wasim etc.

Needs to work on his lengths( tall bowlers have a tendency to bowl a little too short)but has all the other attributes to be very decent

needs A grade cricket, no first class cricket for 10 months will destroy his progress.

Well he's been named in the 21-man provisional squad for the ODI series against New Zealand.

After all, he is the leading wicket-taker.

Andy Flower:

I am very excited to see Ihsanullah do his things. We saw him as an emerging talent last year, so we used him briefly. I know that he has had some very good domestic performances and he bowls with genuine pace. He attacks a bit like Dahani, so that is going to be very exciting, not only for us, but also for Multan and Pakistan fans. He’s a very exciting prospect who bowls a real pace . And we all know that real pace is very exciting to watch. So, that’s going to be great.

Ihsanullah and Sameen are very close to what we call ready made test bowlers , tall , bounce , pace and away movement

I want him to have another good fc domestic season and be on plane to Australia. Shaheen, Naseem and Ihsanullah should be our test pace attack.

He will have to adjust his lengths because bowling short all the time will invite trouble. Bowl the hard length, done bowl short

He is the real deal but save him for Tests. We have so many white ball pacers need to develop some for tests

Great potential. Gets spectacular bounce and some deliveries are downright unplayable. Just needs more consistency.

I hope he’s developed for test cricket most high potential test bowler for us since Shaheen.

2/37 in 4 overs - excellent work from him today

His wicket of Kamran Ghulam

Needs a lot of work.

Has the basics, but as others have said, he's very raw.

Still raw but a good prospect.Has all the ingredients of a fast bowler.Good height and physique.

Very impressive he’s tall ,averaged in the high eighties mph today ... height & pace = weapon

Hopefully exposure to t 20 leagues will not derail his red ball potential

Will be a great bowler for South Africa and Australia tours

I don't know who is coaching him, with that Height, Bounce, Natural lift off the surface and Pace Hes got it's a no brainer that with the new ball he should be bowling 4/6 balls at hard lengths and mixing it up with a fuller length or a Yorker to keep the batsmen on his toes.

He will become a nightmare for our poor quality PSL batters if he keeps doing that.

No way he is 20.

:91: Yeah he is around 28.

The selectors need to make sure they are taking this into consideration because there is no point going through all the trouble of preparing a player for international cricket when he is close to 30 especially a bowler.

Had a feeling this guy will take psl by storm this season.

Only his second game and a double wicket maiden and cracked 150k mark. Impressive.

Who thee hell iss this kid or guy.

Pakistan has soo many bowlers and the funny thing is, islamabad uniteds zamir is yet to play.

We are truely blessed with bowlers. India take note
