Kashif Ali is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for Northern. He made his first class debut for Northern against Balochistan on 17 November 2021 during the 2021–22 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He made his List A debut for Northern against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 18 December 2022 during the 2022–23 Pakistan Cup.

I'm looking forward to seeing how he continues to develop and contribute to the game.

Bowling in the early 130s, which is an ideal pace.
Maintains a good length.
Primarily relies on in-swing, with the occasional straight delivery as a variation.
Didn’t notice any away swing.

The game plan is similar to Bumrah's, just with less pace.

And he strikes in his first over... What a start for the debutant...

He played his first Test on a rank turner and bowled 10 overs in a Test Match & took 2 wickets, didn't see enough of him to say anything.

And scored 1 run in 2 Innings!

But why did the selectors drop Khurrum and play him?

Kashif did an ok job. Have not seen much of him atm so cannot say much more than that... I think it was a good decision to give him a go instead of over-burdening Khurram for nothing...

If we have to bring in this 32 YO, ( looks older) skinny trundler , who was bowling at 127-128 KMH ( occasionally 130 ) , why we didn't play Abbas who has similar pace and age . Or we were giving Abbas some rest after he played in 2 tests in 3 years and 2 weeks rest was not enough.

That is a fair point.. Abbas can do similar, even better job than all these trundlers. He has experience to back him.

Kashif's selection was not on merit first.

Hard to judge him based on 1 game. The pitch wasn't very seamer-friendly. It was a dustbowl pitch.

He doesn't have lots of pace but he is faster than that mir the 120kph speed demon hamza with big grunt who is an embarrassment to fast bowling.

Mir guy is slower than women fast bowlers, it is really embarrassing to see guys like that opening bowling in test.

I never want to see mir hamza mohammad ali and other trundlers in pakistan shirt again.

Also i don't see this guy succeeding in international cricket either.

What was this trundler Kashif's performance in this year's QEA trophy ? nothing .

Pakistani cricketer Kashif Ali made a notable impact with the ball for Kent in their County Championship Division Two match against Middlesex at Lord’s. Bowling with control and discipline, Kashif claimed two key wickets in Middlesex’s first innings, finishing with figures of 2 for 57 in 17 overs at an economy of 3.35.

He dismissed Ben Geddes, who was looking well-set on 29, and later removed Zafar Gohar cheaply to help Kent bowl out Middlesex for 238. Kashif also remained unbeaten on 10 in Kent’s first innings, showing some resistance with the bat as his team looks to overcome a first-innings deficit.

Was a good consistent 140k bowler 3/4 season ago and could swing the ball both ways but now he regressed tremendously in the last 2 seasons and lost about 10k of pace.

Kashif Ali continues to impress for Kent, picking up two key wickets—first breaking through with the dismissal of Zain-ul-Hassan, then returning to remove Kiran Carlson, both for 16, tightening the grip on Glamorgan’s innings.

He ended up with splendid figures of 4/75.

Kashif Ali will be in action for Kent against Gloucestershire. Let's see how he performs in this game.
