A big blow for Pakistan, as the star of the first Innings Kamran Ghulam departs on 4 runs in the second Innings against South Africa in the first Test
 
Really expected better from him. He needs to apply himself. In SENA there is little opportunity to get away with mistakes. One brain fade and he will lose his wicket
 
He can really be a lock in the middle order.

But he needs not to get carried away with attacking but play tests like he does in domestics with minimal risks. No needs to play too many balls.

I agree. He also needs to stop being cocky and showing muscles after getting a 50.

He can show what he wants. You don’t find it cocky when a player stands his bat on the stumps and acts like he has scored 400 at lords after scoring a 50?
 
The language that he was using in this test match was pathetic and not required.
 
Error of judgement and a pathetic leave to get out LBW for 5 runs.

This is Kamran's batting list, since is debut hundred, he has been a failure so far.

Another below-par inning from Kamran... gone for 16 in the 1st inning against Windies..
 
KG's hype bubble has taken a nose-dive... Fails again.. just 19 in the 2nd inning ain't Windies..

Boy has failed to live up to expectations...
 
He’s showing great form…. In getting dropped.

He hasn’t convinced at No.4. He will likely be dropped from the test side after this game.
 
I think hes failed us after having a good century in his 1st test but babar isn't any good either.
 
Sad how it’s going he will be dropped at this rate. I do think he is good enough though so hopefully he’ll come back to form.

Still think it was ridiculous to select him years after he was in that prime form when he was breaking records in domestic. You select a player when they are in form not when they move out of it.
 
He's doing an Asad shafiq, getting starts and getting out to cheaply and to often.
 
He is as useless as Abdullah Shafique who focuses more on being stylish rather than scoring runs. Tayyab Tahir could be a much better option than him in Tests.
 
Kamran ghulam isn't a bad player. He isn't anything special but I do believe he can be a solid 40avg test batter for pakistan which is more then enough.

Atm hes failing but back him.

What pakistan needs is one saud shakeel who they should back to avg 50+ and preferably try to get saim ayub to avg 50+ in tests.

And fill the surrounding team with 37 to 45 avg test batters and you got yourself a very strong team.

Gone are the days when you use to have 6 50+ avg batters in your lineup.

Saim + Saud should lead the way. Kamran, Babar, Rizwan, agha should try to avg 40. Hurraira should be dropped and Shan should try to maintain a 37 avg and 60SR.

Can be a strong batting lineup.

Problem is hurraira is a walking wicket, Babar is avg 24, agha has become another walking wicket and beyond that century KG is avg 20 something.

They need to improve
 
Usman salaahudeen should be brought into the test squad. The guy has a top domestic record. Haider ali should be considered for champions trophy.
 
Why no imaam ul haq? Such a good home record. Such a good odi record. Great injustice to a great talent. Def is better than huraira
 
Kamran Ghulam has been selected for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 squad—fair or not?
 
He showed what he is capable of with that innings against South Africa. He may have the temperament for test cricket, but he bats with intent. And that's something we could certainly use more of in this format...especially from someone batting at 6. I think he could end up playing some key knocks for us in this tournament if he gets going.
 
I can't believe how poor his situational awareness is for such a seasoned domestic campaigner.

I'm all for intent, aggression, high SR etc but not stupidity. His dismissals in the Centurion Test vs SA and 2nd Multan Test vs WI in both innings were exactly that.

Today when we needed someone to just stay with Fakhar, he gives his wicket away.

For someone who staked a reputation on grinding out countless big innings in FC cricket, I don't understand where this recklessness has come from.

I don't mind that. I like his intent and we as fans should be prepared to give leeway players who play selflessly. My issue with him today is not the way he got out but all the dots he played.
