[PICTURES/VIDEOS] Noman Ali - Left-arm spinner

Let him pick 300 test wickets and then we will rate him.

200 for fast bowlers
300 for spinners

Noman Ali | Player of the Match: We needed to change and adjust after each and every session, and glad to got the success. The plan is to bowl according to the conditions and stick to the line and length, because I only play red-ball cricket I focus and work a lot during the breaks. The way Brevis was batting, it was a very crucial wicket and at that stage, we needed that wicket badly and that also turned out to be ten-for me.

Don’t think Nomi gets enough credit as he plays with sincere passion for Pakistan.
Good to see he has worked hard through many years in domestic cricket to get his break through with him delivering against top teams like SA & Eng

I think Pakistan are missing a trick by sidelining Aamer Jamal.

If Jamal was in the setup and was improving his batting more he could be a decent no. 7 option.

That would mean that Pakistan can go with 3 Pacers + Jamal + Noman in overseas conditions.

But I suppose they do not want to develop a pace bowling all rounder so they go with 4 Pacers + Salman.

I doubt he will get to 300 wickets as he was introduced to international cricket too late, he is already 39.

Noman Ali has the same number of 10fers(10 wickets in a match) as James Anderson and Jasprit Bumrah combined in Tests...

James Anderson has 3 10fers in 188 test matches
Jasprit Bumrah has 0 10fers in 50 test matches
Whereas,
Noman Ali has 3 10fers in just 20 matches

@mominsaigol LOL

Anderson is overrated since current england pacers are trash, and Anderson despite being avg, made sachin his buddy.

Otherwise he's quantity over quality.

Starc, Rabada etc etc are all better pacers then he is

rabada yes, starc no. jimmys last 350 test wickets came at 22. theres no way thats an average bowler, apart from aus he averaged 25 or better against everyone else i think in the second half of his career.

jimmy had a rubbish start to his test career, but that was miles away from the bowler he ended up becoming.

Starc in test cricket

1) Fastest 5 wicket haul in history
2) Fastest ball Bowled in test history 160.4
3) 16 5 wicket hauls + 2 10 fers in 100 games + 402 wickets at an avg of 27, in comparison, Jimmy Anderson has less wickets less, 383 wickets at an avg of 29 after 100 games, with less wicket hauls in general.

Starc has also consistently led his team to a wtc victory + numerous home ashes wins and a BGT home win.

His only weakness is not being able to win an away BGT and Ashes series.

In pink ball he also has the greatest stats in test history avg 17.

why stop jimmys stats at 100 games when the second half of his career was far more productive? starcs a great but he only gets in ahead of jimmy in a test xi in aussie conditions.

What metric would you then compare them?

the period that both their careers coincided?
Starc was a rookie in 2014 and By the time anderson retired he was mostly washed up and starc obviously clears.

The anderson myth is peddled that he was unfairly retired but he was washed up, its just his washed up state is still miles > Any current england pacer in test cricket.

How does this comparison make sense? The only argument for anderson is that he faced tougher batters dueing his prime and made Sachin his bunny
