Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, made important decisions regarding quality domestic cricket. Mohsin Naqvi presided over a 3-hour long meeting in the board room of the National Cricket Academy to strengthen the domestic cricket system. In principle, Mohsin Naqvi approved the plan to promote quality domestic cricket at all levels. Tournaments will be organized continuously from club level to national level under Mohsin Naqvi's guidance. The best coaches will train new talent to improve their skills, and players will be given further opportunities based on fitness and merit.
Mohsin Naqvi aims to promote quality domestic cricket to bridge the gap with international cricket. To improve coaching quality, a master coach will be appointed to train domestic cricket coaches. The domestic contract will be revised, and players must participate in domestic cricket to join the national team. Selections will be based on performance, merit, and fitness, with no compromises.
Following Mohsin Naqvi's instructions, tournaments in all three formats will be held to promote quality domestic cricket. Emergency measures will be taken to discover new talent, investing in grassroots cricket to yield positive results. The meeting discussed recommendations and suggestions, examining domestic cricket structures in India, Australia, England, and New Zealand.
Attendees included PCB Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer, Chief Financial Officer, Selection Committee Analyst Bilal Afzal, Directors of International Cricket, High Performance Centers, Domestic Cricket, PSL, and concerned commercial officials.
