Dude, you have been uttering so much non sense regarding IK and his government and have been heaping loads of praises on PPP. Can you tell me some significant achievements of PPP in Sindh where they have been in power since 15 years. I am sure you can't because you are blinded by hate towards IK. You dont even live in Sindh you are supporting a party who does not even exist outside Sindh. Again I am trying to convince you that PPP is the worst thing that has happened to Pakistan. Every year they spend millions of money on just the renovation of their leader's shrines instead of spending that money on building hospitals in rural areas of Sindh. The situation in Sindh is so depressing that there is not a single good standard school and what can I say about hospitals, its even worse. There are only a total of 3 good standard government hospitals in Sindh and all of them are located in Karachi. Hundres of People sleep outside the hospitals while their patients get treated. You can well imagine the situation here where they could not even build a single hospital in rural areas and you want these cruel people to rule our country. I would advise you to reconsider yout decision to support these goons.

What has his not living in Sindh got to do with anything? There is enough information available for all of us to make our judgements.

Hurts me to admit this but it appears that IK has given up and is out of ideas now.

So you came to this conclusion AFTER the million strong jalsa IK just did?

I live in Sindh. What abdulrafay33 is 100% correct. Sindh government should be the last example given when talking about running a government.

So you came to this conclusion AFTER the million strong jalsa IK just did?

Mashallah such insight

The million people jalsa won't matter much if he doesn't have the numbers in the NCV in the NA. The opposition is spending every cent available to buy out his MNAs and allies along with promises of tickets, CMship etc while he is living on a different planet trying to play with a straight bat in a deeply corrupt system.

He should have fought back against them using their own game against them. Once these opposition members enter the govt, they will ensure that pti elections are rigged and will direct the institutions against them.

That's like defeating the object if imran fights fire with fire using their ways. Imran has morals and honesty, and that's embodied in his blood.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has claimed that foreign powers were involved in the ‘conspiracy’ to send his coalition government at the Centre packing through a no-confidence motion tabled by the country’s joint opposition.

Terming a letter as ‘evidence’ of his claims, PM Imran said foreign elements are using local politicians and using money to “mend the country’s foreign policy”.

“I rarely write my speeches… but I wrote this speech today so that I don’t get emotional and say anything which can affect our foreign policy,” said the premier while claiming that foreign elements were involved in changing regimes in Pakistan.

The embattled prime minister said this while addressing his PTI party's 'historic' publich gathering titled "Amr Bil Maroof" at Islamabad's Parade Ground on Sunday amid looming no-trust voting against him in the National Assembly.

PM Imran said his government received threat in written form and asserted he had all the evidence to prove his claims which he said he will unveil at the “right time”.

“Our country received threats due to the acts of previous leaders… the governments in Pakistan had been changed with the help of locals… when Zulfikar Ali Bhutto tried to make independent foreign policy… parties of Fazlur Rehman and ‘absconder’ Nawaz Sharif launched a movement against him and later Bhutto was executed,” said the premier.

He lashed out at PPP leadership, saying that Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Zardari have formed alliance with those elements involved in the execution of their party founder.

“Today foreign elements are trying to affect our foreign policy agian… we know the elements who united the killers and the victims… today the time has changed and there is a saying in English you only cross the river once… this is an age of social media where you cannot hide anything.”

PM Imran said his government will maintain friendly ties with other states but will never become “slave to anyone”.

Not only our own dissident MNAs but lawmakers belonging to PPP and PML-N will not support the no-confidence motion against him “if their conscience are *****ed by the conspiracy”, the premier said.

PM Imran Khan, while addressing today's rally, said he will not spare 'corrupt leaders' even if he had to step down from his post.

“First of all, I express heartfelt gratitude to my nation for coming from all parts of the country on my appeal,” he said in his opening remarks. He also appreciated his party lawmakers present at the rally for refusing “opposition’s attempts to buy them off”.

“I came into politics 25 years ago and formed political party for one thing only and that is following the vision of Pakistan for which it was created.”

PM Imran once again claimed that he had put the country on the path of becoming “Madina-like” welfare state. “Previously, it was not possible for a common man to get free treatment at private hospitals… for the first time in country’s history attempts are being made to lift the downtrodden segment of the society,” said the premier while referring to his government’s social welfare programmes.

Continuing his diatribe against the opposition leaders, PM Imran said, “‘three stooges’ wanted to topple my government to get NRO and doge accountability”. He vowed that come what may he will not spare the “corrupt leaders”, saying that he was even ready to put his government at stake for this purpose.

“No government in the past has performed like my administration has done in the last 3.5 years,” the premier claimed once again. “When the entire world was shut down due to coronavirus lockdowns… I did not impose the blanket lockdown… I was criticised that I was destroying the country,” he remarked.

“Today I stand proud that entire world is acknowledging that we protected the economy as well as people from the pandemic.”

He also cited a World Bank report, saying that Pakistan has lowest unemployment rate in the South Asia due to his government’s “prudent policies”.

Premier Imran said all sectors of the country including exports, agriculture and others witnessed boom during his tenure, adding that after a gap of 50 years nine mega dams are being constructed in the country.

‘Corrupt vs honest leaders’

PM Imran while citing various examples, said, “People should know that the country benefits when honest rulers run it instead of corrupt leaders”.

“International court imposed a fine of Rs2,000 billion few years ago in Reko Diq case… my best team negotiated with them [private mining firm] and now they are investing $9 billion in Pakistan,” the premier said, adding that the people of Balochistan will benefit the most from the investment.

“Our currency will appreciate… Pakistan will have the largest gold reserves in the world.”

Likewise, PM Imran said in rental power project case a Rs200 billion penalty was imposed on Pakistan. “I spoke to [Turkish president] Tayyip Erdogan and they waived off the penalty,” he added.

He won seats in 2018 with narrative against corruption. Next time he's going to win bigger with narrative of independent foreign policy. For the voters, this is a much much more tneder point as compared to inflation and it won't be easy to rig elections against the tender voters. PTI ticket will be a popular one and thats where IK needs to take direct charge. No more hiccups in ticket allocations in 2023.

Again I will say, this jalsa will go long way im defining his next election campaign.

In my childhood, I used to play a video game called "Praetorians" by Eidos Interactive. In this game there were several "civilizations" and their unique units. Egyptians pharaohs had a unit called "slaves" who were the weakest, cheapest and fastest builders but they used to die as they built fast, (it used to hurt me as a child as I could hear their dying sounds as my building got completed in half the time)...

I can't help but feel that Bilawal Zardari and his crew are the "Pharaohs" and the malnourished poor of Sindh are the "slaves" of this lot.

We, as a nation, are so divided that we lack basic human empathy to realize that a few km away from Karachi's lights there is a war-torn area like poverty in Pakistan.
In this day and age, it is an incredible achievement by the Bhuttos/Zardaris: to keep Sindhi people in such poverty, hunger and lack of education.
Even when we were "kaafir British" slaves; an average Sindhi might had more freedom and rights. Heck, even the "untouchables" of India have a quota in universities and their rulers back them up.

(There is a special place in hell for Bhuttos/Zardaris/Sindhi feudal lords. Allah Is the Best of Judges, The Fairest of them.)

Sorry, can you clarify the last line of your post please? You want your government overthrown by foreign agencies? I’m convinced there’s no such thing as a “liberal” Pakistani.

And btw Bewal Express, Major bashing off sehat card, I spoke to my family today, my (brother and his inlaws, and my parents who work in Pakistan half a year, all medical) have said they have seen first hand how amazing it has been for the average joe.

Guess PTI should have left it like Sindh, where children (as late as Jan 22) have been dying of hunger and thirst.

I have nothing against Major, as even in family people support/disagree on politics, but I am just astounded anyone can support PPP or Noon league. I am a liberal, hardly religious and bash IK half the time to the point where people questioned if I hate him :)) But there is NOONE in Pakistan other than him who deserves a vote. Sehat Card alone is enough for me to vote for him for the next decade.

If the Americans played a role in this coup, they will make sure IK has a Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto ending. Once IK is out of office, they will institute many fake cases against him.

The Sehat card is the single biggest Welfare achievement in our history and IA if the people realise what they have, then suddenly paying taxes will be worth it, however painful it seems at times. I agree that it's astonishing that anyone can support the feudal Jahils of the ppp( ironically as Major put it) or the crooked Sharif's. But the very Major said that, also supports the very same people. Confused, I am. PK is at a cross roads and you are either with good or evil.

Not so simple in this day and age.

Agreed this is not 1970s. Its an era of social media. However what is unfortunate is that history is repeating itself and we are falling in the same trap. Ironically its the same players again playing their part which is really unfortunate and its high time the public takes its stand and stand with Imran. The power of public is often underestimated and Imran needs full support of public now!

Watch the speech by imran, he claimed of a letter in his hand. When did cia started to write letters, what ever happened to their spy cables?

Did you ask them about the hospitals that were closed down to fund it? Did you ask them about rising medicine cost? Did you ask them how much money does an opd patient pay?

May he lead our nation till his dying day and may we never see another day of PPP and PML-N rule.

I suggest we limit the number of posts one can post here in a day, seriously, every time you open the forum same-----------!!

Foreign powers are threatening the PM with 'consequences' and Bajwa and establishment have decided to be neutral. Will the US establishment remain quiet if the US President was being threatened?

Lanat on our establishment.

Is that what we're accusing the opposition of next? Lol, Who's going to call it Don Bilawal?

I think we all need to calm down a bit.

Could by anyone, CIA, Mossad, the opposition, Zardari had his wife killed and has ordered many people to be murdered, can you seriously put anything beyond him?

Could by anyone, CIA, Mossad, the opposition, Zardari had his wife killed and has ordered many people to be murdered, can you seriously put anything beyond him?

CIA and Mossad have no interest or intention to kill IK. Considering current circumstances a USD 1billion loan will buy any ruling stakeholder's allegiance, the situation is that desperate. Killing IK will be a terrible move for the opposition, it will simply increase PTI's popularity.

Federal Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Sunday accused the opposition of receiving money from Colonel Qaddafi of Libya and Osama bin Laden.

Speaking at the Islamabad rally on Sunday he described the opposition a gang of three and said they were rather dacoits instead of political leaders.

He branded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) power show as the “battle between the forces of evil and good”.

Earlier, while speaking to reporters at Lal Haveli before departing for the political gathering, he said that people were showing “full confidence” in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s “honest leadership”.

He added that large numbers were reaching the federal capital to express their support for their leader while a number of them had already assembled at the Parade Ground.

Rashid said that corrupt politicians were trying to save their looted money, and termed March 27 as a “decisive day” in Pakistan’s history wherein people were approaching the federal capital on their own.

He added that the nation was standing by Prime Minister Imran, as they had rejected the “dirty politics” of the opposition.

A big rally led by Rashid left for the gathering, and the minister said that nearly 15,000 to 20,000 party workers from Rawalpindi would go to the Parade Ground for the power show.

Later, while addressing the political gathering, Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak said that Prime Minister Imran was fighting for protecting the country from “looters” and “plunderers” who harmed national interest.

The minister, who is also the president of the ruling party’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) chapter, said that “the valiant leader is not going anywhere”, urging PTI supporters to stand with the premier.

He also underlined that lawmakers who left the party this time around were never “genuine” party members.

He also urged the crowd to put their trust in Prime Minister Imran in the next elections.

He also hoped that the masses would continue to be with the premier till the day he breathes his last.

(With input from APP)

Chief of his own faction of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday refuted Prime Minister Imran Khan’s claim of receiving threats to his government and claimed that the letter shown by Mr Khan during the public meeting was “fake.”

Addressing a rally at H-9 sector in Islamabad where the opposition parties are scheduled to hold a public meeting on Monday (today), the Maulana called the prime minister “an agent” of the West and alleged that he had been imposed on Pakistan to meet the agenda of West and destroy the country.

The Maulana, who is also the head of the Pakistan Dem*ocratic Movement (PDM), said the participants of the PDM public meeting could hold a march towards D-Chowk in front of the Parliament House. He, however, said that they would not do so in respect of the Sup*reme Court’s orders whi*ch had barred public gathering at Islamabad’s Red Zone.

Talking about the prime minister’s claim that he was receiving threats and got a letter, the PDM chief said: “He [PM] waved a false letter that he was receiving threats. You are making people fool by writing false chits but no letter can save you,” he added.

The Maulana said it was the prime minister and not the opposition who was seeking an NRO.

“We are not giving you NRO. Now you are under our control. We can drag you at any square,” he added in an apparent reference to the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) that had been issued by the then military dictator Gen Pervez Musharraf in 2007 to provide relief to the politicians facing corruption charges.

Which foreign power is threatening IK?

It's the crazy army as usual who wants him gone.

Considering the mode of communication and it's contents, it's highly likely to be Cercei Lannister from King's landing!

The Lannister family is very particular in leaving a paper trail when threatening elected foreign governments.

Cmon PTI, dismiss the government and call for an immediate election to end this quagmire. Why drag this out any longer!

PM Imran’s sparkly, booming show in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD:Thousands of supporters flocked to the federal capital to attend Prime Minister Imran Khan’s rally as his fate hangs in the National Assembly.

In his two-hour-long marathon speech at a sparkly, booming show in Islamabad – a cradle of his political movement from the ‘container days’ - the prime minister’s appearance seemed to be a fiery effort to lean into the definitive agenda points of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Although the prime minister cast himself as waging battle against the “evil”, the real political battle has to be fought inside the National Assembly, starting from Monday.

Moreover, it remains to be seen whether PM Imran’s claim that foreign powers were seeking his ouster will have any impact on the lawmakers who are gearing up to vote on the motion of no-confidence.

Initially, the ruling party had decided to hold the rally right outside the Parliament building located in the Red Zone before changing the venue to the Parade Ground, which is usually occupied by armed forces but was opened for a political rally after a long time.

PTI workers, activists and supporters from across the country thronged to the venue to demonstrate support for the embattled prime minister.

The event remained charged with youthful fervour as people danced to party anthems, clamoured slogans and did not miss any opportunity to cheer loudly to different tunes when the premier was making the speech and taking brief pauses.

Participation of women, young and old, families, children and elderly people was one aspect that is usually missing from the political rallies.

However, just like PTI’s 2014 rally in the capital, it appeared that the core support for PM Imran was still intact. A visit to the rally also revealed that it was attended by more people from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa than any other province.

People arriving from different cities of Punjab explained that massive traffic jams at the toll plazas were one of the reasons for the less participation from Punjab, saying there were long queues at every toll plaza even when Khan was speaking to the rally. They said that no one was there to properly facilitate the supporters coming to express solidarity with Khan.

Among other things, it was also a good day for the business. As they say, every crisis also offers an opportunity for some. Venders selling from water to food items and shirts to providing painting facilities dotted the venue and made hay while the sun shined.

Party flags and colourful banners, along with huge portraits of Imran Khan emblazoned across the venue as well as the roads surrounding it. A sense of festivity suffused the air and a number of young activists continued exploring different areas of the venue and the city.

The first-timers in the capital were more excited to see the city but lamented that most of their time was consumed in travelling than actually visiting different areas of Islamabad.

The apparent drawback of the rally, which drew flak from many, was the ruling party’s decision to not allow private and international media to use professional cameras for covering the rally.

Almost seemed like a new revolution!

Amazing turnout by Pakistanis and great support for IK throughout Pakistan and from all over the world.

It was clear, the Yanks and others want IK out. So they called on their puppets who they knew would run to them for more $.

This is treason. Its time for Pakistan to put these alleged traitors to trial and if found guilty be hanged. A country cannot advance with so many traitors.

Foreign powers are threatening the PM with 'consequences' and Bajwa and establishment have decided to be neutral. Will the US establishment remain quiet if the US President was being threatened?

Lanat on our establishment.

I knew something was amiss when imran was in Russia and bajwa was busy swanning around the eu.

two legs in two different boats the pakistan establishment is a good example,

Rumours MQM has made agreements with PTI.

Many more will turn to PTI.

IK did a master stroke telling the Pak public we have traitors out there. Anyone who votes against IK will now be suspected and if then proven to be true, will be shamed publicly for a long time.

Drone attacks per ruler.

President Musharraf: 13
President Zardari: 340
PM Nawaz Sharif: 61
PM Imran Khan: Zero

Rumours MQM has made agreements with PTI.

Given the PML Q development, rumour has it that Zardari will ask Murad Shah to resign and give the Sindh CM position to MQM in exchange for supporting PDM in the NCV against the PTI.

PTI in comparison are offering MQM the Sindh Governors position and an extra 1-2 federal ministries.

What's the point of this democracy? Be rich, buy whatever you can, and just continue to keep getting more powerful and rich.

I knew that rant from the Aunty "Bik gai hai gormint, saaray mil kar ***** bana rahay hain humain *******" was true but the level of this is just soul-shattering.

I feel your agony.

From what I can see, Pakistan doesn't have any democracy.

Even Imran's win was dodgy I heard.

If Pakistan has a solid democracy and Imran believes people are with him, he just has to wait for the elections and he will win it easily.

But that won't happen as Army will rig the votes to tilt the balance (just like it did for him).

If even after this, Pak people don't realize that the issue has ALWAYS been their fraud army which has caused them untold sufferings, there is no hope for them.

If I am wrong about the democracy part, do correct me.

If Pakistan has a solid democracy, Imran has NOTHING to worry about.

But is that the case?

For that matter, will you say POTUS election was dodgy simply because you heard it?

In era of social media, there are disputing reviews for literally everything and if I wanted to quote in-favour or against anything I will find alot of references.

Dragging Army into everything Pakistan related used to be a good joke from Indian Media but this has become boring now.

lol.

Ok I am sorry.

It was a western conspiracy to remove Imran.

Dragging Army into everything Pakistan related used to be a good joke from Indian Media but this has become boring now.

I only follow Pakistan politics casually but whenever I hear a Pakistani journalist or politician or analyst speak, they keep saying “establishment” this or that.

Maybe Indian media got that wrong. What exactly does establishment stand for in Pakistan because I don’t hear it being used in a government context?

BTW, If you read it again you will see I wasn't even discussing the conspiracy part.

There are only 2 options here

Army wanting Imran out.

Western powers wanting Imran out.

If you say former isn't true, then it's the latter even if you don't say so.

1. If both aren't true, why is there a no confidence motion with folks switching sides out of the blue?

2. So if the western conspiracy is true (argument sake) then why isn't Army throwing its weight behind Imran?

I just don't get it.

I was never a big fan of Imran the politician but my hatred for the current system is immense for multiple very authentic reasons. Politics is a business in Pakistan and people only join it to make money. I'd be ok with that if they funneled this money into industrialization of the country or innovation/education leading to new innovative jobs but all they do is buy lands and real estate (mostly in Dubai and UK/USA) and build plazas which really is keeping our country back. They are also all tax defaulters so their wealth is always hidden and gives nothing to the country in the first place.

Pakistan's army is a complex issue and it cannot be generalized simply in one sweeping statement. It's an institute that's one of the remnants of the British and it's a legacy organization with all the legacy issues that come with it. The elite in Pakistan is all connected, a General's son would often be married to a politician's daughter, and her brother-in-law would be married to a Business tycoon's daughter. This complex mesh results in a hydra-like creature that has multiple heads and all of these are equally powerful if they stay together hence they remain together. The addition of media in the last two decades has even made things more complex, the privately-owned media channels are money-making entities and they have a need to control the public discourse and opinions to create a favorable outcome for their own benefits. A general reset is needed for Pakistan and it includes the army as a top priority as well but it's not the only issue that is impacting us currently.

You cannot jump classes in Pakistan because we don't have business innovation centers that help you go from zero to unicorn status with a startup within a few months. That's why we have a traditional hierarchy, leave Pakistan if you wish to keep your middle-class status, be part of the generational wealth that has been accumulated before by your elders, or continue to remain a small fish that works on scraps that reach you through the big fishes so you remain loyal to these big fishes. The classic case study for this is seen in the rural setups, where feudal landlords continue to own people like slaves.

At this point, I'm just angry and tired and a bit helpless that this is what we have to deal with for the rest of our sorry excuse of an existence.

Unnecessarily hanging there by a thread 'the so called letter'. He should resign honorably if he has lost the majority. He can come back winning next election with absolute majority.

Why should he resign when 17 million people voted for him to be in government for 5 years. If he has lost the majority he should immediately dissolve the assemblies and get a fresh mandate. Pakistanis do not want to see the corrupt dynasties ruling again.

The point is not this. The point is this so called no confidence motion is not an organic move. Its is certainly triggered by external elements. This is the real problem. Any sort of external influence in internal political matter of Pakistan should not be tolerated.

Thanks for the interesting perspective.

Sorry for you mate.

Yeah army people are interlinked with politicians and businessmen but in the end...but army's clout (as an establishment) is superior.

The one who has the final says...is in control.

Upper class vs Lower class.

The Rich vs the Poor.

Those above the Law vs those below It.

We(Pakistanis) are capable of lynching a dude who supposedly stole a piece of bread/vegetable/fruit but someone who has/is stealing a generation's future is our leader :zardari

For some $ and an apartment for (Pappu beta and Guriya beti) in Manhattan, they will sell anything to Amreekans :yk

Let the mafia expose themselves, every hour is crucial in awakening PKs to these crooks. Resigning will never happen, beat him if you dare
