Another consecutive half century by Rilee today.

I like him as an ODI/T20 opener. Good array of shots and looks calm at the crease. Just needs to convert his 50's into bigger 100's.

Certainly a lot better than the likes of Alviro Peterson/Robin Peterson and even Graeme Smith.

I think him and George Bailey are the most under appreciated Odi cricketers atm.

Doing well

Remember when he first came

He was beginning to be Afridi 2.0

By bagging ducks

I think him and George Bailey are the most under appreciated Odi cricketers atm.

George Bailey is hit and miss. Does well against India but does not have a good record against other teams.

Could change that soon though.

He played pretty well in the first ODI few days ago.

He was the best young batsman in SA and toured with A teams and did well. Hundreds in SL, Australia etc. Has scored a triple hundred in one day in first class match too. Longer format was his strongest suit but unfortunately for him, he got selected to play in ODIs. He hsnt really set the world alight in ODIs but it is keeping him out of first class matches where he could have made an even stronger argument to be included in the test side.

The little that I have seen of him, he thinks he is like ABDV but he bats worse than Ashwell Prince.

Take performances against this Mickey Mouse Aussie attack with a bucket of salt

How do you know what he thinks? :13:

Mediocre cricketer..SA need a clutch player.Give Dean Elgar a try in odis.

He played a crucial inning in WC semi final, after RSA had lost two quick wickets. His partnership with Faf gave RSA a great launching pad for DeVillers and Miller. Too bad the rain and bowlers lost it for RSA.

you dont need a clutch player opening for you .
You need batsmen who can make use of the field restrictions and make things easy for clutch players down the order . SA are 18 months late opening with this guy .

who would have expected he might play PSL this year i hope he does well very talented and underrated player

Quetta gladitors with the smart pick

His career is over. No one cares what he does at the FC and T20 level.

De Kock does that job.

SA don't have clutch performers down the order. AB and Miller are clean smashers with the former having ability to get hundreds at will but neither of two have the skill to finish off close games particularly while chasing.

atleast county cricket does care who have offer him 3 year contract and also this is good for PSL

we need young players like him in our league

Bump!

He is in the form of his life in this year's PSL.

Sad he signed the Kolpak deal - would have enjoyed watching him open with De Kock for SAF for many years to come.

Rate him very highly!

Think it was stupid of him to leave SA. A couple of years and Amla would definitely have retired. But maybe there were other reasons as well.

I like this guy, Hope he continues to do well, he seems to be a good influence in the dressing room too.

when he was playing the Australia ODI series, I thought he will carry the SA team along with de Kock for years to come.
Rossouw also got the man of the series award, I thought he will become world class someday.
sad to see he left international cricket but glad he's doing so well for Quetta, I hope he stays with Quetta in the future too

Think it was stupid of him to leave SA. A couple of years and Amla would definitely have retired. But maybe there were other reasons as well.

CSA is required to have reservation for about 50% of the team for blacks in the team. That really closes the door on many players. And this is across all levels of cricket, U-12, U-16..... to tests.

There's a bit of AB about him. In unreal form atm.

can we give him a green passport and make him play for us?

that will also balance out the fact that we gave Imran Tahir to South Africa and look how important a cog he has become for their LOI team.

I would be extremely tempted to make this bloke a resident of the country and help him become the international star he deserves to be.....

Where is Javed Afridi's honorary citizenship when you need it

I think he would have been a regular in South African team had he hung around. Had the tools to be a top class LO player.

Most talented left handed batsman I have seen, the guy can strike it well. He is the left handed AB, I was glad he went Kolpak or else South Africa would have reached Semis. If South Africs gets him back in T20 and ODI's they will get their jazba junoon

Always liked him, his upper cut six in 2015 world cup was the shot of the tournament. Very disappointing that he left SA because he looked good to play 250+ ODIs for SA.

He is almost as good as de Kock. Brilliant player.

With de Villiers, Amla, Duminy, Faf (soon) moving on, there is plenty of room for him in the South African side.

He will definitely make an international comeback.

If he works on his fitness then definitely he will be back in no time. Having him come in at No.5/6 or open isn't a bad idea and he is a really useful player when he's on song.

The SA board would be mental to make an issue out of the Kolpak deal on "patriotic" grounds and not welcome him back
He would slot in easily there. Replace Smuts who looked hapless against Aus.

I would love for him to play for South Africa again. But I don't see it happening. I think he has made his choice and will stick with it.

He is good enough to represent them in LO. His early record wasn't that. Would have gotten better by playing more.

Very clean striker of the ball, but also plays proper cricket strokes. A batsman capable of playing long innings with a great strike rate. SA are definetly missing him in the middle order, but doubt he will ever return to international cricket.

In my eyes, he is the biggest loss to international cricket in the last 5 years. Has been one of my favourite batsmen to watch for years. Currently not out on 32(16) against KK

What a brilliant innings in such a crucial game - this is what likes of Asif and Iftikhar fail to do.

Will always stand by this. Unreal talent

Rilee Rossouw performing when it mattered the most:

50 off 21 balls today
127 off 91 balls in his previous 11 innings in PSL6

Somerset County Cricket Club can today reveal that Rilee Rossouw will join for the entire VitalityBlast campaign!

Rilee Rossouw scored his maiden T20I century and helped South Africa post a big total of 227 for 3 in 20 overs in the 3rd T20I vs India

Be aware pakistan be very aware of this guy .He is sort of player who can destroy any attack on his day .I have very bad feeling about our match against them in upcomin worldcup

In AMAZING form at the moment Rilee! 100*(52)

Records fall on Rilee Rossouw's big day

Rilee Rossouw was in an aggressive mood against Bangladesh and his second T20I century helped South Africa post a big total of 205/5 at the SCG.

While it was the biggest team total achieved so far at the T20 World Cup 2022, Rossouw's knock also broke a handful of individual records on a day where the left-hander was in scintillating touch.

Rossouw became the first South Africa player to score a century at a T20 World Cup and his innings of 109 was the fifth largest in the history of the event.

A 17-ball half century today, joint fastest in PSL history

Fantastic 52 (32) from Rossouw in the final, one of the most consistent batters at PSL 8.

Good performance today - but overall not that good an IPL season for RR

Should be playing all 3 formats especially when SA currently weakest middle order in their test team in 3 decades.

Rilee Rossouw has been traded in by Quetta Gladiator for Iftikhar Ahmed with Multan Sultans. Good trade made by Quetta. Rilee will strengthen their batting line-up which looks very fragile in the last PSL.

I think it's a fair trade.

Multan got ripped off lmao

Rossouw turn into nightmares for bowlers when he hold the bat at his favorite venue

Rilee Rossouw is the only foreign player playing for PBKS today in IPL 2024, and he also played a blazing knock of 49 runs off 24 balls at a strike rate of 204.16 against SRH.

Another South African stalwart is shouldering the burden of the Jaffna Kings' hopes, poised to notch a century as he bats on 90* off just 39 deliveries against the Colombo Strikers.
