India batters Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant gifted their bats to Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan after the second and final Test between the sides at the Green Park stadium in Kanpur on Tuesday. It was Shakib's final away Test for Bangladesh who lost the match by seven wickets and went down 2-0 in the series. Kohli brought out his bat and gave it to Shakib and Pant followed suit as players from both sides started to gather for the presentation ceremony.

Shakib Al Hasan Unlikely to Play Final Test for Bangladesh Due to Protests in Dhaka: Report

Happy endings only happen in movies perhaps. Shakib Al Hasan would agree with the same currently, as it seems unlikely that the Bangladesh all-rounder will return to his home Dhaka to play what was bound to be his final Test match for his nation.

Shakib, who was included in the Bangladesh squad for the first Test, previously voiced his wish to retire from Test cricket by playing out his final appearance at his home ground in Mirpur.

But now, the all-rounder himself has sadly almost come to terms with the reality that he can’t entertain the opportunity, given the political tensions in the country.

“I am not sure where I am going next, but it is almost sure that I am not going home,” Shakib informed, as per reports from ESPNcricinfo.

Shakib was a member of parliament from his hometown Magura. He was one of 147 people named in an FIR for an alleged murder during the political unrest that has ensued since August 5, the day their government effectively resigned from power after 15 years.

Earlier last month, the BCB also clarified that Shakib’s appearance at the first Test against SA in Mirpur would all be contingent on the security concerns that could arise.

“We don’t have it (Shakib’s security) in our hands. The security needs to come from the government and he will have to take his own decision. We cannot say anything about his security. We don’t have the ability to provide security to any individual,” Faruque told reporters at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

“I am neither an agency nor police or the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB). The security issue needs to be cleared by the government because from the board we cannot say anything.”

Despite it all, Shakib was still assured of safe passage to Dhaka, after the selectors finally gave the ‘green signal’ to select the all-rounder for the SA series at home.

But, threats of protests from a activist group who go by the name ‘Mirpur Chhatro Janata’ has now made the all-rounder and the BCB think twice.

Shakib is slated to fly in to Bangaldesh on Thursday, as per reports, but it is believed that he would not make an apperance in Dhaka as of now.

Shakib made his bed when he decided to join Awami League.

Actions have consequences.

Shakib Al Hasan has been replaced by uncapped left-arm spinner Hasan Murad for the first Test starting October 21 in Dhaka, which was supposed to be his farewell Test

Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto spoke at the pre-match press conference ahead of the 1st Test against South Africa:

"It is unfortunate. It should have happened."

"But we can't spend too much time talking about it on the day before the Test match. [Shakib's arrival] is not in our control, so we are not spending too much time thinking about it. We have to focus on the two important Tests and that's what the players are doing. We had plans to send off one of the world's best players. All of us personally feel that it remains pending."

Very good. Better to try someone new.

I think we may have seen the last of Shakib in Test format.

Absolute clown stuff that is happening with shakib, haturisinghe etc..
Am glad Haturusinghe has been sacked. He deserved it. How dare he assaults a BD cricket player? who is also from my region. Haturu ruined BD cricket with his poor coaching, team comboniation, style of cricket. He ruined many players like even Sabbir Rahman played him at 3 in ODI’s for long time, Sabbir opening in t20s when he cant play the new ball and is suited to a 5-7 order batting positions. He tried to make Soumya the finisher when he has opened most of his career, played soumya in 3 a lot too. Literally confused our players. BD players cant play multi formats, some are not good and some are not meant for certain format. Haturu had poor vision, he tried experimenting in the icc events!!! Like Miraz going up and down last odi wc, he even tried miraz as opener in LOI. OMG am so thankful this guy is GONE!

I am also glad that haturi is sacked. But the way he is sacked is absolute clown stuff..when faruk came into the board he indicated they are not going to keep haturi. They could have sacked him then and then siting performance but they waited. Waited untill a poor series. And after that they brought back an incident year old. It just now looks malicious on BCB part. Faruk showed he had personal vendetta against haturi. Now it looks like that he is making use of the power he has to get his personal vendetta off

Pro, anti-Shakib protesters clash in Dhaka’s Mirpur

A group with bamboo sticks has attacked a march by supporters of Shakib Al Hasan as they chanted slogans in support of the Bangladesh national team cricketer.

Shakib’s supporters then attempted to flee towards the main gate of the stadium. But, as soon as they reached the area, law enforcers charged them with batons. The situation developed into chaos as people rushed about, screams rang through the air, and the sharp whistles of the army pierced it.

The incident occurred in front of Gate No. 1 at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla Stadium on Sunday as the visiting South African cricket team was practising inside.

Pro and anti-Shakib campaigns have been under way in Dhaka’s Mirpur regarding the cricketer's craving to play his farewell Test and ultimately not being able to return home. His fans had announced a ‘long march’ towards the stadium a day before the start of the Test.

Security has been beefed up around the stadium for the last few days. On Sunday morning, police placed barricades to block traffic from Mirpur-2 to Proshika intersection, and on the other side, to the National Bangla High School. A significant number of Army personnel had guarded the area on Friday.

Shakib's fans appeared outside the stadium from 2pm but there was no large attendance, as the 'long march' meant. Hundreds of Shakib fans brought out a procession and chanted slogans, with many carrying banners. A large number of journalists were also present at the scene.

Everything was happening just like the other days. At one point, the law enforcers tried to push away Shakib’s supporters from around the stadium. They drove away other people and onlookers to the nearby streets. The entire circumstances had changed suddenly after the attack on Shakib's fans.

Although the law enforcers were nearby, they played the role of mere spectators at that time.

Several journalists suffered injuries while trying to protect the assaulted during the incident. At one point, the attackers left the scene through an alley saying anti-Shakib slogans.

The danger of Shakib’s fans worsened with the baton charge of the law enforcers who later dispersed them from the scene.

Several victims have expressed their anger later to the media. One of them, Mahfuza, who gave a single name, claimed the attack had been carried out without any instigation.

"We had been conducting a peaceful campaign since the beginning. The horrific attack was suddenly carried out on us. The police did not come to our rescue. I am thankful to journalists for saving me. We strongly condemn such attacks.”

About the march against Shakib, the sports advisor said this is everyone's constitutional right, seeking answers for the attack on the cricketer's fans.

The situation remained tense for some time after the attackers left the scene. The army tried to remove Shakib's fans who were still there. More army personnel in two cars immediately took up positions outside the stadium.

Both police and army officials refused to comment on the issue. However, a person was arrested near Gate No. 1.

Seeking anonymity, an army officer said the person was detained for chanting anti-national slogans and fearing that the security of the series against South Africa could be disrupted. The detainee would be released afterwards, the official said.

Meanwhile, the Proteas left the stadium amid the chaos a little before 4pm on a bus.

However, Shakib's anticipated return for the farewell Test has been a polarising issue for cricket fans. Well before the announcement of the Bangladesh squad for the series, there were protests outside the stadium aimed at preventing his return.

The protestors' sentiments were evident in various writings and graffiti on the stadium walls. There have also been reports of confrontations between Shakib's detractors and supporters.

One of the greats. Best all-rounder to emerge from Asia since retirement of Imran Khan.

I would say I feel sorry for Shakib but this is what you get when you associate yourself with a dictator that rules with an iron fist.

Still he has had an incredible career. One of the greatest cricketers to come out of Asia.

As per reports:

Shakib Al Hasan as well as the Bangladesh selectors are still unsure whether the veteran all-rounder can play in the upcoming ODI series against Afghanistan, set to begin on November 6 in UAE.

Shakib Al Hasan, the allrounder from Bangladesh, has been requested by the England and Wales Cricket Board to undergo an assessment of his bowling action after umpires raised concerns during his recent County Championship match for Surrey.

In September, Shakib took nine wickets in a thrilling encounter against Somerset, marking his first appearance in the competition since 2010-11. He joined Surrey on a short-term contract to bolster their squad during a period when eight players were on international duty, including their main spinners, Will Jacks and Dan Lawrence

LOL. Very strange.

Why after all these years? How come international umpires missed this for 15+ years?

Anyway, he is probably done with international cricket. May play a few more ODIs. That's it.

Pathetic from the ECB really, did the umpires raise this with anyone at the time? not sure where this is coming from.

I am very surprised to be honest.

Shakib has been playing international cricket since 2006. He played cricket in IPL, PSL, BPL, CPL, BBL etc. He also played county cricket for Worcestershire. He was never reported for suspicious bowling action.

Why now? LOL.

Just wondering can a goora player ever face this is in Bangladesh or Pakistan.

BCB Chief Faruque Ahmed Believes Shakib Al Hasan Can Still Play For Bangladesh

Faruque Ahmed, president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), said he still believes Shakib al Hasan can play for the senior men's team, provided he gets clearance from legal authorities. Shakib, who retired from Tests and T20Is this year, had hoped to play his final Test on home soil. But security concerns meant he didn't get to do that and couldn't even get to play the ODI series against Afghanistan. It has also meant that Shakib, who was elected as MP from the ousted Awami League government, is not named in Bangladesh's ODI squad for tour of West Indies. "As for Shakib Al Hasan, I cannot provide a definitive answer. I want him to play, but his absence is not related to the cricket board.

"The reasons preventing his participation involve law enforcement and the court. It's not easy for me to address this. If the issue is resolved, I still believe Shakib has the ability to play for the national team."

"However, playing in franchise leagues abroad and playing for the national team are not the same. The national team requires a certain combination, and Shakib doesn't seem to be in the mental state to contribute at that level right now. We've left this decision to him," Ahmed was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

He said there are thoughts to launch women's version of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), but also pointed out making the upcoming edition of the men's tournament a success is a priority too.

"The idea of a Women's BPL is fantastic. I believe we have given proper importance to women's cricket and will try to increase facilities for them. We need to evaluate our capacity for hosting the Women's BPL. Our effort will be there, and we'll see what happens.

"Simultaneously, we aim to strengthen the Men's BPL further. Although this is the first BPL during my tenure on the board, it's also the last of this cycle. If I remain in the next term, or whoever does, I hope the major franchises will stay for the long term. Having two or three new franchises every year is not ideal.

"Our first challenge was to ensure the BPL could take place with seven teams despite several obstacles, including the economic situation and teams withdrawing. Now, it's time for better screening and adjustments," he concluded.

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been suspended from bowling in ECB competitions following an independent assessment of his bowling action

Shakib’s action was reported by the standing umpires while he was playing for Surrey in the County Championship match against Somerset in September.

Shakib completed an independent assessment at Loughborough University earlier this month, which found that the elbow extension in his bowling action exceeded the 15 degree threshold as defined in the Regulations.

This suspension takes effect from the receipt of the independent assessment on 10 December 2024, and follows the process set out in the ECB’s Regulations for the Review of Bowlers Reported with a Suspected Illegal Bowling Action.

Shakib is ineligible to bowl in ECB competitions until he has passed an independent re-assessment of his bowling action.

He has been bowling in international cricket since 2006 or 2007. No objection was raised before.

LOL Shakib's action is as clean as it gets...why is he banned from bowling?

Not sure he will care much though as he is pretty much done with his career.

When I made a comment about his bowling action few years back, a well known poster here called me salty. He has been rumored to be chucking conveniently in important phases for some time. I know coiple of regional commentators made off hand comments about it. Now that he is not under lens umpires are comfortable calling him

LOL Shakib's action is as clean as it gets...why is he banned from bowling?

Not sure he will care much though as he is pretty much done with his career.

It's possible to chuck at important times while being normal limits at other times.

I believe when Ajmal started he had a questionable action but was 50-50 with some important deliveries being definite chucks.

Later on he started chucking every delivery and completely lost the plot.

I believe he never recovered from the Hussey drubbing in semi final of World T20 and and started chucking with venom which led to complete overhaul of the rules.

I don't think Shakib chucks but is quite possible during county games and less attention matches he deliberately chucked a few here and there.

Hence the call out.

Don't think it matters though.

He is done anyways.

That is exactly what he was doing. It is very obvious as he has an easy action. During 2014 to 2017 there were lots of rumors and off hand comments from regional commentators. But most didn't think much of it as BD was a minnows team in Tests. Anyway he is done now

After ECB, BCB confirms ICC ban on Shakib Al Hasan across all competitions over controversial action

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Sunday that all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been banned from bowling in all tournaments after the England Cricket Board (ECB) recently declared his bowling action unlawful. Shakib's action following his club Surrey's September loss to Somerset were the subject of an investigation. He scored 12 runs in the first inning and 0 in the second in this, his sole game for the county team.

BCB confirms ICC ban

The BCB confirmed that the veteran all-rounder's ban was applicable worldwide under the auspices of the International Cricket Council's (ICC) regulations, despite the initial understanding that it only applied to bowling in English competitions.

"The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has been informed that National Team all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been suspended from bowling in competitions under the jurisdiction of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). As a result, Shakib is also suspended from bowling in domestic cricket competitions outside Bangladesh and in international cricket. This suspension follows the outcome of an independent assessment conducted at an International Cricket Council (ICC) accredited testing centre in the United Kingdom," the BCB shared in a media release.

"The BCB also understands that, as per clause 11.4 of the ICC regulations, Shakib may undergo further analysis at an ICC-accredited testing centre. Should the results of this analysis clear his action, Shakib will be permitted to bowl in international cricket," the statement further added.

Shakib can continue to play on the role of a specialist batter in any tournament as the ban is only on his bowling. "The BCB is aware that Shakib will soon appear for reassessment at an accredited testing centre in an effort to have his bowling action cleared," the BCB stated.

This is the first time Shakib's bowling action has been questioned since his 2006 international debut. The left-arm all-rounder has the record of being the only player to score more than 14,000 runs and take more than 700 wickets. On November 30, Shakib played his final competitive game while captaining the Bangla Tigers in the Abu Dhabi T10 league. He bowled two overs without a wicket for 12 runs and was still unbeaten at zero.

I think he chucked really hard in that one of county match. Remember he was struggling with bowling and all of a sudden got 9 wickets in that match

He is good enough to make the Bangladesh ODI side even as a batsman. And after the test retirement drama, BCB would want him to go out on his own terms.

Shakib retiring will be a good thing for Bangla brothers

Agree.

I personally think Shakib's presence is harmful. He conducts himself in a very arrogant/unpleasant manner and that is not good for the team.

Hopefully BD will go to CT without him.

Shakib fails reassessment test for bowling action in Chennai

Bangladesh Cricket Board has revealed that all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan remains suspended from bowling in all competitions after failing an independent reassessment test conducted at the Sri Ramachandra Centre for Sports Science in Chennai, India last month. Cricbuzz earlier reported Shakib had given a reassessment at Chennai on December 21 after failing to pass the initial tests in England.

"Consequently, the player's existing suspension from bowling in international cricket following the initial independent assessment at the testing centre of Loughborough University in the UK, also remains in place," BCB said in a statement. "A successful reassessment is required for the bowling suspension to be lifted. While Shakib is currently unable to bowl, he is eligible to continue playing as a batsman in all forms of domestic and international cricket."

Meanwhile, a member of the selection panel, on the condition of anonymity, told Cricbuzz that Shakib's chances of making the Champions Trophy squad are slim. "If he (Shakib) is not bowling chances are slim (to play in the Champions Trophy)."

So we should now consider Shakib as a retired player because BCB has not selected him for the champions trophy 2025. Sasd to see him go down this way.

His illegal bowling action made it worse for him.

We have had some interesting debates recently about the action of a certain pacer from India. Now before this thread is misconstrued let it be clear that I have openly on this forum maintained that I believe the action of that player is legal.

However, there is of course a loud of chorus of fans from across the globe wondering why he hasn't be called and if he should be tested.

Many of the counter arguments state that the umpires, third umpires and match referee etc have access to all sorts of footage that can quickly identify a chucking a player. This was argument that I was happy to accept.

Nevertheless, the Shakib incident has me wondering what the hell has gone on. Shakib looks clean to the naked eye, he has bowled in international cricket for many years without raising too many eyebrows. The umpires etc must have access too all the technology yet deemed his action legal.

Yet he was called after agreeing to play a one-off county match and his action is now deemed to be so bad that he has failed two tests, despite playing a lot of international cricket before that county match

Only two possible conclusions can be drawn

A - Shakib's action suddenly degraded to a level that made it illegal and this only happened during that county match.
B - Shakib has been playing for years with a dodgy action but International Umpires have a relaxed attitude to chucking and don't even bother to check it.

Which one seems more reasonable? I would kindly request that we don't go down the route of calling posters jealous etc. This thread isn't about that but i'm sure most will agree that something seems odd here.

Their 2 biggest star - Tamim and Shakib got out unceremoniously. Looks like Shakib paid the price for being close to the Sheikh Hasina's party.

I know the direction you want to take this discussion into but I also believe Shakib doesn't chuck. However, pls read Dr Bassim's post #428.

:bumrah
That doesn't provide any explanation. If he was deliberately chucking he could have still passed the test.

There are more chuckers playing in the BPL

Some bloke called Sunny is a clear chucker too.

Shakib Al Hasan In Trouble: Arrest Warrant Issued Against Bangladesh Cricket Star. Reason Is...

A Bangladeshi court issued an arrest warrant on Sunday for cricket star Shakib Al Hasan for bounced cheques totalling more than $300,000, in the latest blow for the ousted lawmaker. "The court has previously summoned Shakib but he did not appear at the court", said Mohammed Shahibur Rahman from the IFIC Bank, which filed the case. "Now, the court has issued the warrant," he said. Shakib is a former lawmaker from the party of autocratic ex-leader Sheikh Hasina, who was overthrown by revolution and fled by helicopter to India in August 2024.

His links to Hasina made him a target of public anger and he was among dozens facing murder investigations for a deadly police crackdown on protesters during the uprising.

He has not been charged over those allegations.

Shakib was playing in a domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Canada when Hasina's government collapsed and has not returned to Bangladesh since.

Shakib Al Hasan Yet To Be Paid For Final Four Months Of His Bangladesh Contract

Shakib Al Hasan has not yet received his salary for the final four months of 2024, while he was contracted to play for the Bangladesh national cricket team even as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced an increase to the salary and match fees of its players on Monday.

Bangladesh Cricket Board officials admitted that Shakib is yet to receive his outstanding salary but argued that his accounts were frozen.

“It’s true that he (Shakib) is yet to receive salary for September, October, November and December and that is largely due to the fact his bank account got frozen," an official was quoted as saying to Cricbuzz.

As per the report by Cricbuzz, Shakib is expected to receive BDT 48 Lakhs (USD 38400), which amounts to around Rs 33 lakh excluding taxes.

Shakib had announced his retirement from international cricket as the 37-year-old is also an ex-lawmaker in the Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government. The star all-rounder, a member of parliament from his hometown Magura, was a target of public anger and He was one of 147 people named in an FIR for an alleged murder during the political unrest that has ensued since August 5, the day their government effectively resigned from power after 15 years.

BCB cricket operation chairman Nazmul Abedin confirmed that Shakib will receive his payment as per the agreement.

“He (Shakib) will get his salary as per the agreement because whether you play or not there is an agreement in place and certainly we will try to fulfil our commitment as per the agreement," Nazmul was quoted by Cricbuzz.

It's a shame what Bangladesh is doing with their best cricketers. Him along with Tamim deserved a better cricket board who knows how to give their legendary players a grand farewell ... Not throw sh*t towards the players and a kick out the door as a farewell.

Tamim was asked to return for the CT by the captain and the new president but he refused and wanted to retire.

From what i've read (assuming it is true - desi media writes up many masala news for the clicks), it's a disgrace how BCB handled it and the hand Shakib/(then) Coach played was not the right way to do this. Bangladesh was doing well under Tamim's captaincy

I as a player would not return to international cricket - that too in one of the biggest ODI event without any sort of match either. He did the right thing and retired

Fully agree.

He was mistreated by the previous coach and board president the corrupt guy called Papon who was part of ex dictator pm’s regime.

But with the change, new board president, country needed you but you let your egos win. Not great. I’d do anything if I was in position as a sportsman for my country. Bangladesh needed his experience one final time. Surely could’ve given another year service and groomed future players along with him, someone like Tanzid would’ve learnt a lot.

Shakib Al Hasan action cleared after reassessment: Reports

According to media reports, former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan has been cleared of a suspect bowling action and can resume bowling in ODIs and leagues worldwide.

“The news is right (clearing the bowling test), and I am cleared to bowl again,” Shakib was quoted as saying. However, he did not disclose where he took his third reassessment.

Shakib last played in Bangladesh’s Test series against India in October 2024. He was suspended from bowling last December after his action was deemed illegal in an English County game for Surrey.

His initial reassessment in Chennai in January failed, ruling him out of the ICC Champions Trophy.

With Bangladesh set to tour Sri Lanka for ODIs, Shakib could return, having gone unsold in the IPL and PSL drafts.

Shakib Al Hasan joins Lahore Qalandars for Remainder of HBL PSL 10

Lahore, 15 May 2025: Lahore Qalandars have confirmed the inclusion of Bangladesh’s legendary all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan for the remainder of the HBL Pakistan Super League Season 10. He will join he squad on May 17 in Islamabad.

Shakib, widely regarded as one of Bangladesh's greatest cricketers, boasts an exceptional T20 record with 7,438 runs and 492 wickets, including career-best bowling figures of 6 for 6. A proven performer in T20 leagues around the world, his arrival is expected to strengthen Lahore Qalandars’ depth and balance as the team approaches the final stages of the group round.

Shakib replaces Daryl Mitchell, who is unavailable due to a hand injury sustained during his last over against Karachi Kings on May 4. He got a blow on his left hand in 14.2 overs in Gaddafi Stadium in a rain-effected contest.

Expressing his excitement about joining the side, Shakib Al Hasan said: “I’m really happy to join Lahore Qalandars for the ongoing PSL season. We’re at a crucial stage of the competition where every game counts. It’s a tournament I’ve always enjoyed watching, and now I’m looking forward to contributing on the field. Qalandars have great fans and a strong team spirit, and I’m excited to be a part of the group as we push for a strong finish.”

Sameen Rana, Team Director of Lahore Qalandars, welcomed the addition: “I’m excited to welcome Shakib to the Lahore Qalandars family. His experience, skill, and all-round ability make him a valuable addition, especially at this important stage of the tournament. His presence will add depth to our squad, and we’re confident he’ll have a strong impact both on and off the field.”

BCB denies rift with Shakib Al Hasan, keeps door open for ODI return

Shakib is no longer playing in Test and T20 internationals, but he hasn't said that he will no longer play in ODIs. Even though he missed the Champions Trophy, there is still a small chance that he will come back before the ODI World Cup in 2027. For now, though, it's still not clear what will happen with him and the national team.

When asked whether Shakib has completely cut ties with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), board director Iftekhar Ahmed Mithu firmly denied such speculation. “Absolutely not,” he told the media, indicating that the door remains open.

However, Mithu was quick to point out that Shakib’s recent performances have not yet justified national team selection. In his short time in the PSL, Shakib played in three games, took only one wicket, and didn't score any runs in two of them. Even though it was his first competitive match in six months, it was clear he wasn't back to his best yet.

Yes. It is true. He was an MP for the Awami League.

He hasn't been to Bangladesh since Hasina was ousted. He risks arrest if he returns.

Bangladesh court imposes travel ban on Shakib Al Hasan

Veteran Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan has been stopped from leaving the country amid investigations into allegations of corruption.

According to Bangladesh media outlets, a court in Dhaka imposed a travel ban on 14 individuals, including former lawmaker and cricketer Shakib Al Hasan.

The court issued the order on a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

In its petition, the ACC maintained that it was investigating the individuals over allegations of large-scale corruption.

Apart from Shakib Al Hasan, Deputy Registrar of the Department of Cooperatives Abul Khair, his wife Kazi Sadia Hassan, Abul Kalam Matbar, Kanoka Afroz, Mohammad Bashar, Sajed Matbar, Aleya Begum, Kazi Fuad Hassan, Kazi Farid Hassan, Shirin Akhter, Javed A Matin, Zahed Kamal, Humayun Kabir and Tanvir Nizam are facing charges of embezzlement.

According to a spokesperson for the ACC, the petition was filed at the Dhaka Court after they received credible intelligence that the accused might attempt to flee the country to evade investigation.
