The above pics from whiteboard in the DSC Stadium dressing used by Pakistan in the 2nd Test vs New Zealand.

What does that tell us about their thinking?

There is no strategy with clear defined related objectives but rather a listing of goals.

It's clear.

Half of the Pakistani team does not understand what's written.

How can you expect players to understand what Mickey wants them to do? They're not good at English.

Very fascinating to see how teams go about their business! Thanks for bringing this to us!

Too much dumbing down. These are international level cricketers not 4th graders. Is this coach for real? Was he the same guy who'd ask Aussie players to do homework?

If you need to tell these basic points to professional players then I feel really sorry for Pakistan cricket team...

There is a baraat of officials with them, sure the captain would explain without any aid about the goals. The more important thing is do the players value the word of the coach?

Babar Azam is a favorite of Arthur, his pathetic display in the first innings of 3rd test match handed us a defeat. Easily he would've added least 50+ runs with Sarfraz. His selfish game for personal milestones is an huge impediment for any success of the Pakistan team.

More importantly, who is leaking these genius, tactically astute, top secret, ultra sensitive plans.

If you are willing to grind in 1st innings on flat wickets then when will you score???If you do this grinding work in SA,then i don't think pak will score more than 150 in an innings..

So much for Mickey Arthur's talk off aggressive Cricket, atleast now we can be clear that he is a phony and all talk

Have to say this, I now understand why the Aussie team revolted against the novel ways of this coach. Can absolutely relate to them on why they though homework was them being treated like kids.

More importantly, who is leaking these genius, tactically astute, top secret, ultra sensitive plans.

They were left on a whiteboard in DSC - someone forgot to clean it up!

Grinding out in seaming pitches....

Grinding out in uneven bounce ....

Well whatever was said there worked in that Test - maybe should have taken that board to AD also

Griding out seems to be the only tactic for batting. Pathetic and cowardly approach. Kane Williamson maintained a strike rate of about 60 on day 4 and our batsmen can't even maintain a strike of 40 on day 2 LOL.

We don't know if it worked or not. Cause the main difference was Yasir Shah happened.

People look at a whiteboard without context without ever having seen what something like that might look like for another team and make assumptions to have a go.

Pakistan players have a mental frailties going in the last day of the game. The sooner they embrace it, the easier it will be find to find ways to cope.

Do they (players) even understand what the coach writes on there. :))

No, they don't.

I am pretty sure only Babar understood these points

Not sure if it was sarcasm... But Babar doesn't understand English either.

The long line of officials doesn't really help.

When you're translating or interpreting, it's just not the same.

Not sure why we have an English speaking coach when most of the team can't understand him.

This looks like a quick checklist rather than the full plan, OP please update the thread title.

May be the full plan was erased from the board.

The legacy of Misbah ul Haq

This is exactly why Umar Amin needs to be in the team. Not only is he in the form of his life but he speaks good English and can be interpreter of the team.

Would this whiteboard be the sum total of Pakistan's preparations?

Obviously not. There are many contingencies that cannot be put on a white board.
Arthur may have spoken about them or put on another white board.

Here we go.. our members have to absolutely dissect everything and anything and poke holes in it.. its not dissection.. its more like annihilation..

Give it a rest bhaio!

*sigh... like do Pakistan's batsmen even at least think about rotating strike at a decent click, even for a test match? I know there's gotta be a level of match awareness that determines your run flow, but even for basic strike rotation? There'll be boundary riders in the middle of the test with massive spaces to take singles and twos easily, but you know... you gotta grind it out :shafiq2:azhar2
