Two of these guys were the reason for the pathetic show we had in the world cup, and while another guy is not fit to be the keeper and only keeps wickets just to be adjusted. Yet, these three coming out as the top performer really makes you wonder if the PSL's quality has gone down or what.

I think certain players play really high quality cricket in leagues but it does not always carry over to international cricket.

For example, Azam Khan is an incredible hitter in league cricket and even times the ball very well but he’s never made it past 10 runs in international cricket. So it’s not really that the quality of league is bad but more so that certain skills don’t always transfer.

His reaction time is poor. Often times he's not able to collect slower balls. Even did that yesterday in the final which could've ended up being very costly as the game went down to the wire.

I'd take Azam Khan the batsman in the national side. At least in the squad, not the first playing eleven. But he's a liability on the field.

Tournament awards are given out to the consistent performers throughout the tournament. It's only fair. Even in major league sports, the MVP and other player awards are given to the best regular-season performers and playoff success is irrelevant to those awards.

As for Azam Khan being the best WK... no words for that one. The wicketkeeping was a bit poor this time so the competition wasn't great, but Rizwan would have to be the obvious recipient. He's class behind the stumps except for when they have a review to take

Nothing special mate, it’s just a normal person ‘fire up’ they can’t cover long distances and when you see something humungous move even a tiny bit faster then snail pace, the mind is tricked and it can’t comprehend what it is witnessing

Brother if you agree AK being awarded was faulty, the your first argument automatically falls flat as psl then clearly does not function under the same criteria, please don't bring in other leagues, its pointless.

I am not sure about Azam Khan's selection for the award. I mean how did he win this one? Taken a few catches I believe because he has not scored that many runs but he was good behind the wickets overall. But Riz was also equally good.
