Bangladesh is the worst among Pakistan, India and Bangladesh when it comes to minorities. In Pakistan, the minorities are also economically backward, mostly dalits and tribals so there is another angle to their oppression. In Bangladesh, they are also in middle class and keep a low profile in politics, yet they get attacked for who they are, despite having same language, ethnicity and even forefathers.

Genocide against minorities? How many Hindus have been killed who were not Awami leaders? To my knowledge, one. The Awami leaders are facing the wrath of the public irrespective of being Muslim or Hindu. While it's desirable that they be brought to justice rather than mob lynching, you can't always control the public. The same happened to Musolini and his party members.

I don't think there is any constituency whatsoever for an all-inclusive truly secular state in Bangladesh. Even Bangladeshis who've moved abroad and live in secular states want that for for their home country.
I Don't know much about what Bangladeshis abroad want, but I know what most of the students who were in the forefront of this movement want. They have clearly stated their intention for a Bangladesh equal for all. What you are not getting is most of Bangladesh's college educated youth has a modern Outlook. An Islamic state will not only be bad for the minorities, but it will also be bad for them, as it will try to police friendship between different genders, what you wear, whether woman can be allowed to work outside or not. That part is as concerned about Islamic take over as Hindus, and they were the central leadership of this movement.

Than please first you should read what was happened in past 6 month's.
I don't think they will make the constitution religion less right now. But they are trying to take subtle steps, If you look at the list of caretakers they have demanded for they interim government, you will see there are 3 guys who have been fighting for rights of lgbtq people, and no islamic leader. There is a power struggle going on right now between the Islamists and the student coordinator about the members of the interim government. Islamists want those 3 gone at any cost, and want the representation from them. It remains to be seen that what compromise they reach.
