Plight of Hindus in Bangladesh after coup

I think India needs to open its borders for BD Hindus on humanitarian grounds till such time things are ok for BD to take them back. Pakistan did the same for the Afghans during the Soviet invasion.

In 1971, India had made big mistake of forming Bangladesh as Muslim nation, instead they should have been incepted Bangladesh as Hindu nation

India will do it. They did something similar when they passed a citizenship amendment act in parliament that would grant citizenship to persecuted religious minorities from Afghan, Pak ,BD. Except muslims ofcourse

There are Bangladeshi Muslims in India even in Chennai down south where BD sim cards are available.. so yeah lol..

If India was a Muslim country that would solve these issues. It could be like a bigger version of Dubai where Hindus are working happily, and this would also solve tensions with BD and Pakistan.

Very well said. The problem with few Pakistani posters here is they get defensive very quickly when it come to their own and reject everything as fake news. As if world is blind and cant see it. The moment Hasina left, BD future is sealed as next Pakistan i.e a country ruled by anarchy and hell hole for minorities. People can twist it in anyway they want but its a #FACT.I said it on the very first post on this topic and stick to it.

Are you a humanities student? Did you read my post which I asked to read again. CAA is for fast track. CAA is not to deny anyone. The normal track still remains, CAA does not replace it. CAA is a fast lane, while the normal lane remains.

I mean it should be obvious if you read the post.

They wanted to thump their chest they will protect Hindus who were oppressed in their neighboring states. Well now is the time for it.

CAA was for refugees who were ALREADY living in India. Safe from muslims majority. The law was to give them citizenship. That was the only scope of the law.

I’m sure it must be happening already. It’s only the right thing to do and the CAA bill was meant to do the same in a legal and systematic manner.

I would say to everyone let’s take a step back.

As an Indian I welcome removal of corrupt Dynasties(I hate Gandhi fam), now having said that, hopefully BD army and police take control of the situation, issue a night band for few days and form interim government and let law and order situation improve and announce the elections.

Hopefully that will calm everyone down..

Agreed. Its utterly shameful what's happening right now with the minorities but what BD have done cannot simply be Pooh poohed as an Islamist action. I think the people had genuine reason for staging this coup.
 
Let me add to its that its inspiring to see Indians and Bangladeshis rejecting the corrupt political dynasties while in Pakistan, people are still defending them no matter what the cost. We see quite a few such a people here on PP as well who fully back and support the Sharifs and Zardari Bhuttos, etc.
 
Modi should advocate for the safe passage of every Bangladeshi Hindu. This action would not only safeguard them from Bangladeshi Islamist threats but also increase the Hindu population by over 13 million. Additionally, it would help balance the rapidly growing Muslim population in India.

They cannot direct their anger towards her supporters in Indian government, so they target the Hindus of Bangladesh as the nearest alternative.

This phenomenon is occurring globally and is currently evident in the UK as well.

Aren't Hindutva already engaging in this practice, compelling every Muslim, or even Hindus who merely mention anything about Pakistan, to 'go to Pakistan'?

In fact, adherents of Indian Hindutva have been doing this even when relations between India and Pakistan were relatively cordial.

Furthermore, where did I claim that I am okay with this behavior? It appears that you are merely seeking another excuse to perpetuate your own inherited bigotry against Muslims under the guise of Hindutva.

If there are such Pakistanis on PP then we Bharatiyas have failed you. Being descendants of wise ancient Brahmins, we have a duty to spread knowledge and enlighten the masses wherever we go but despite our best attempts if some Pakistani Papers continue to remain ignorant, we must take some blame as well.

Its not like there are no bad apples within Hindus as well who have spilled Muslim blood time and again starting the time of the partition to today. It is not just careless but a massive show of hate to paint all Muslims with a broad brush and portray them as intolerant.

How many people from the Muslim world go to India to make a living and how many Hindus move to Muslim countries to make a living?

Maybe someone can research this.


Let us not drag faith into this. I don’t want to respond in kind. The truth is faith of people has nothing to do with it. It’s all sociopolitical conditions and challenges. We should all refuse to use religion to try and gain oneup over each other. Hindus are wonderful people and so are muslims. The current situation has no roots in the religion of the people.

You say one thing and then dodge around and say something different. Nepal is a Hindu nation. Are they better off than the rest? I don’t think so.

Stop showcasing your islamophobic tendencies. The unique geopolitical conditions in the subcontinent are to blame for the various challenges all the nations face including India. No point in dragging religion into this like you and certain other Hindu posters are trying to do

After subjugating them with laws and constitution which treat them as second class, it is easy to become patronizer and call bhai bhai. I wish I could reach the level of success Pakistan has achieved regarding its hindus, so that I can also have the privilege to call them bhai bhai to earn some likes on the internet.

A few bad apples don't represent all protesters.

Many of these protesters are celebrities (for example, singer Asif), professors, and even lawyers. Some of the protesters were also parents of students.

Indeed, the oil resources they have leveraged have positioned them advantageously compared to South Asian countries with Hindu majorities. This economic disparity is likely a contributing factor to the migration of many Hindus to these regions for employment opportunities.

I didn't dodge anything or say something different.

I stated west & east of India are failures and I am right Pakistan & Bangladesh, both are muslim majority. I could've been more clearer and said the sub continent which most ppl with common sense would understand that is what I was eluding to considering the nature of this thread...

Some of you Pakistanis just don't get it, you have been a failure since your creation, in another 20 years situation most likely at best; things would remain the same or get worse. Bangladesh pretty much the cut from the same cloth as Pakistan on its way to being another failure.

You can sit there and make excuses, unique global conditions, Hindutva this, RSS that, India is bad, Kashmir, Palestine Blah Blah Blah end of the day your religion does play a part in your failures, its just reality.

INB4, British Pakistanis reply back with how Pakistan is better than India and how things will change in the future, same Pakistanis who contribute almost nothing towards the betterment of Pakistan.....
 
Muslims will either show apathy or glee when hindus are victims. Even if someone says I offer my condemnation, it has the same sincerity as when a beauty contestant says I want world peace. This is all fine.

We must only question the silence of hindus. or those hindus who say bangladeshi hindus are foreigners, they are not our people, not our concern. And this is the single most reason I admire muslims. They feel the pain of their brothers. While Hindus are out on a mission to show themselves neutral, balanced, objective and bla bla, and even blind if the victim is a hindu.

The problem is the apathy of hindus, not the merriment of muslims.

After seeing what happened around the World and im slowing inching towords india becoming hindu rastra .

I always in favour of secularism but they way things going on its better to be safe than sorry

I disagree with that statement. Pakistan may be an economic failure, but is a sure shot win in terms of securing its religion.

India may have been a "relative" success economically, but has been a failure in terms of protecting its religion.

Pakistan is a fortress of Islam. It may be a failure in other aspects, but is a winner there and remains a vital Islamic country, maybe just after Iran and Turkey.

If the Indians or Indian govt is of so much concerned for Hindus in BD, then wnot take some action rather than cry a river
 
Every country was a failure until it wasn’t.

UAE was a failure until it wasn’t.

India didn’t have enough bathroom until India has enough billionaires.

India was a predominantly secular Hindu rashtra until Hindutva took the power through democracy.

Democracy is good until extremist are in power.

That me, i too was once a supporter ethical secularism.

But i realised that i had lived majority of my life in Punjab where Muslims were just 1% and were more like Pakistanis (nice) and the sikhs were just like Hindus practically speaking. I used to wonder why people in Delhi hate Muslims so much. Then i realized how bad the situation is in UP and neighbouring central Bharatiya provinces where Muslims are involved in so many crimes , have no family values, no regard for women. and are the worst of the citizens making such places extremely unsafe and above all have no respect for Hinduism or Bharat as a country. That’s when I realised what Modi ji was doing was essential.

I am not a genocide supporter or an advocate for riots against minority.

But like Saudi Arabia i want strict laws in place in my country so that Muslims are desciplined and learn to mind their business and do not go rogue against Rashtra.
