Many great leaders have graced the political arena around the world. Some were good politicans other were great statesman.

Nelson Mandela, Malcolm X, Fidel Castro, MA Jinnah, Dadabhai Naoroji, Abraham Lincoln or any other great political leader that you would like to be your PM or President.

So if you are given a chance to pick any leader from past or present to be your PM or President then who would be your pick?

Past - Any of the first 4 Caliphs.

Present - Putin - One of the greatest leaders in modern history. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russian were driving ladas, eating soup out of pots, dying of hunger.....now Russia is changing the world order!

What a great choice bro. Appreciated, besides Putin someone like Mandela and Bismarck also would have been good options from recent era.

Mandela was a great man no doubt but was more of a freedom fighter. Not sure how he would have run the nation without this. Putin has it all but the most important trait esp in todays world which both have is they are truthful to their citizens. Western leaders today, lie openly as they know its not up to the public to put them into office or remove them.

Putin is really a genius. ppl thought Russia is over but he through his astute and sound tactics made it a great power again and now while siding with China he is soon going to down US by ditching Dollar.

I would have loved Jeremy Corbyn to become our PM.

This country would have been fundamentally different to what it is today.

We would have had no corporate covid fraud and no support for the Israeli genocide.

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto
Franklin D Roosevelt
Hasina Wajid (loved the way she kept the army in check and hacked the JUI to death)

No way am i a punjab university graduate.

Jamaat e islami is a party of the scums. They were involved in sabotaging Benazirs govt and were happy to support the Army and ISI until Musharafe revealed that he was secular.

The best thing that Hasina Wajid did in Bangladesh was killing these guys once and for all and closing the chapter there.

I went to his rally in Birmingham a few weeks before the election, he had masses of support because again he is an honest man among liars.

I think he was the last of his kind, there is no chance of such a leader being in power in the UK in future, Zionism totally owns this country and its policies now.

Well India would have been great country too had one of three had lived long to become PM.

Subhase chandra Bose, B.R.Ambedkar and Mohan Das Gandhi.

Gandhi?

No he was never fighting for PM seat. That was already Nehrus because Nehru was a congress politician.

Dont know about India, but Gandhi as a leader for India was more beneficial for Pakistan. He infact died for Pakistan's rights. I think if Gandhi had stayed alive, the Kashmir issue could had been solved with him. If we did not get Kashmir than we would had gotten Hyderabad instead.

We havent had a good PM in my lifetime.

David Cameron was ok relative to the others I've seen.

Ultimately these guys are all selling themselves to the highest bidders.

I would love to have Kim Jong Un... anything silly from rival country and here he will fire the nuke without any 2nd thought :ROFLMAO:
Hahahah... Countries in our neighborhood like India and Afghanistan will never dare to even stare at us and would offer us Kashmir on a plate🤣🤣

People often forget contexts. Some leaders were successful because the circumstances were very different back then.

Then there were leaders who became sucessful because others were working behind the curtain for him. More like, it wasn't just a person but a team. If you don't bring the team, that leader will fail alone. I see many such names in above list.

Nelson Mandela. WHat a guy he was. His rise from dust to Sky was fascinating. All those struggles and hardships paid off in the end.

Modi is such a politician for India as economy under Congress was already doing well but he scooped all the credit regarding India becoming a 3 trillion $ economy

Congress was already doing well?
What are those matrices that you are judging because congress had nothing.
It was Congress who got the benefits of all long term plans that were taken by Vajpayee G.

But do tell the matrices because I am interested in whcih plans of congress that you can come up with.

Here is the GDP growth of India in the last two decades. As you can see BJP hasn't done anything out of the box. Also it was the LPG(Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization) policy of Congress in 1991 that actually turned the fortunes of India.

Also if you ask me India deserved a PM like Subhas Chandra Bose who was a good statesman, an intellectual( IAS Qualifier also) and a good military leader. He even offered Jinnah premiership of United India due to his great foresight but unfortunately for Indians he died before independence.

Gandhi would had been the worst leader, Bose definitely. Ambedkar would had never been allowed but define better than Gandhi.

The greatest, unfortunately great leaders never make good husbands or dad.

George Bush senior was actually an excellent leader/politician.

Shastriji was India’s greatest he was so near to bringing reforms, so we did have a leader just got killed.

Kamraj would had been a great leader.

If Maryam Nawaz or any other boot friendly leader over reached their authority and put people in jail, we complain about it and rightly so.

So how is Putin any better or different? He gets all his politicl enemies killed, thrown out windows, poisoned, etc. You would really want someone like him running the country?

truer words have never been spoken.

He was a detriment to India. set the country back at least a couple decades. should have stayed away from policy making

In the context of Pakistan the best leader possible leader would be someone who could wipe out the influence of the feudal class and build Pakistan from the ground up with emphasis on rapid social growth. The only political leader which fits this mould would be a chairman Mao type figure

Either Erdogan or Dr Mohammed Mahatir. Erdogan’s destruction of the old Kamalist secularist and anti-Islam state in Turkey and the military’s suffocating stranglehold of Turkey’s politics is exactly what Pakistan needs today to reach its full potential.

Dr Mohammed Mahatir is also another great choice.

Both Erdogan and Dr Mahatir have transformed their country’s economy while pursuing a self-reliant and assertive policy.

Imran khan would have also made an exceptional leader.

Erdogan collpased the economy of turkey.

The reason why Turkey is amongst the top states was due to Kamal atat turks secural policies.

First decide you want to fix economy or just be happy woth bringing in islmic policies

Both are decent leaders but Mahathir is on some other level, the way he ruled Malysia and made them the Asian tiger is simply remarkable.

I think this just goes to show your very limited understanding of Turkey and its political history.

The AKP is universally hailed for transforming the Turkish economy in ways never seen before. Before the AKP, Turkey was essentially Pakistan, a poor and unstructured disorganized economy dominated by the military.

“Turkey's economy has undergone a significant structural transformation, with the share of agriculture declining from 27% to 8% of GDP, and the share of industry and services increasing to 31% and 61% respectively. The country has become a major exporter of automobiles, textiles, and electronics, while the tourism industry has also been a significant contributor to GDP.”

The inflation crisis is a recent phenomenon and it fits a global trend, but to argue the AKP/Erdogan collapsed the Turkish economy is a preposterous claim.

The AKP transformed Turkish society, economy and politics. It effectively ended the tyrannical stranglehold of the secularist anti-Islam Kamalists & placed Turkey among the leading powers of the world that has mastered all kinds of sophisticated technology.

There’s a lot to be pleased about them.

no he is not universally hailed. He is bashed for causing hyper inflation and running the country out of cash. With no cash the inflation is touching at 40%

Inflation crises is not a global trend, stop making stuff up plz. Inflation went through the roof because Erdoan tried to keep interest rates low, where he jjust went against economics school of thought and made the economy go haywire.

He has not transformed anything.

You are just pleased probably cause he runs a govt through theology.

It is because of Ataturk Turkey is considered a top nation in the world.

As I said, inflation is a recent phenomena. Before 2018, Turkey outpaced even the EU. Since the AKP came to power in 2003, the Turkish economy has grown exponentially. This is a universally acknowledged fact, but you’re welcome to disagree.

The Kamalist state turned Turkey into a laughing stock with a weak economy, destabilized politics due to frequent military interventions by the deep state and implanted draconian measures against Turkish citizens for growing beards or wearing headscarfs.

The AKP’s impresisve electoral performance speaks of their wide acceptance by the Turkish public and the repudiation of the anti-Islam Kamalist State.

Lol inflation is not a recent phenomena. These are not facts, these are your opinions.

You can go on about economy, but the fact is Turkey is going through hyper inflation due to Erdogens own dumb policies. Adjusting low interest rates is not a global phenomena. Erdogen did this and caused the country's inflation go haywire

Ataturk did not turkey a laughingstock, it held relevenece in world politics due to them.

Erdogan rigged the elections that everyone knows
