Positives from the South Africa Test series

How on Earth an avg of 36 by your top Batsman supposed to be a positive? Pak fans are really heading for minnow mindset now

- Shan Masood 2.0
- Babar Azam (Specially against Styn)
- No inning defeat
- 2nd Inning score was always greater than the first inning score in all test matches
- Amir Bowling...
- Run rate

I think the argument is that the opposition didn’t have any batsman that clearly stood out either as a runs machine. Babar will only get stronger and Stronger from here on.

1) Babar Azam showing that he isn't just a minnow basher, played excellent knocks in hard conditions against World Class bowlers
2) Shan Masood 2.0 definitely has a future, looks a different player
3) Mohammad Amir bowling well

Other than that, not too much to write home about. Shadab Khan and Faheem Ashraf showed positive signs in the 3rd game but would have been interesting to see how they would have done if they were played in all games

Positives from this Test series!

IMO this was a way better performance than the one we had in 2013 with the likes of Ajmal,Misbah,Younis,Gul Hafeez etc.

Following are the positives I found from this series:

1.The astonishing rise of Babar Azam in Tests

After batting well in ENG,NZ,IRE,Babar has proven that he is a player that can bat in all types of conditions in tests just needs to convert those fifties to hundreds like in ODIs

2.The importance of Shadab Khan as an AR

Shadab is an absolute must in SENA countries..gives the much needed stability to the fragile LO his absence in the NZ series played a crucial role as his replacement,Bilal can't even hold a cricket bat.

3.Amir and Shaheen bowling well

After alot of time Amir seems to have improved his bowling and Shaheen has done well in almost every innings he bowled in Tests so far in SA.Must be given a chance in the bouncy pitches in AUS.

4.Openers not humiliating us.

We all know what happened in 2013 when Hafeez,Jamshed and Farhat put up a dismal performance against Steyn and company.

Overall a very disappointing tour but good to see some positives especially from young players which was absent in 2013.

Inzi is the chief selector. His selections were a positive? Having no middle order batsmen in the squad is a good choice lol?
