First, i'd like to find out if we misread the pitch, likely, or the pitch wasn't prepared to prescription? It cant be latter, even if it did end up happening theres no way you would play three fast bowlers on this pitch.....

Also, we should bring fakhar zaman in the side and open with him. There is no point no opening with Azhar and then including papa to open.

I think the way forward now is a 4 man bowling attack of 2 genuine Pace bowlers and two spinners in the UAE. This is why it is paramount for Pakistan to select a number 7 who bats and bowls medium pace providing the 5th bowing option as a pacer.

Not talking about injuries or retirements. That's called analysis!! it was discussed even on the first day before the result that pak may have done a blunder by playing 1 spinner. If Mathews have played the 2 spinners would have troubled him too

If the grass on the pitch was 5 inches I would still play 2 spinners the fact that grass will turn brown and disappear in 1 session as you are playing in UAE which is by far the hottest conditions to play in subcontinent I believe.

He is a tall, orthodox spinner that hits his length and doesnt look to turn the ball away from the right hander. I like him, he has deserved his spot. But Im not sure we should play him if he doesnt offer much with the bat

Why should always expect bowlers to bat. Batsmen is there to score runs. Depending on the tail to wag in itself a defensive logic. If the batsmen aren't good enuf to score runs then why do we expect bowlers to score runs for them.

The total of 136 looked so big bcz of Srilanka's 3 spinners. If they were playing a spinner at 1 end and a fast bowler at the other our lower middle order and tail would have managed to get to the target. Costly error from Pk camp.

If I were to select one of the two, Raza Hassan definitely for me. He is a street smart bowler, I love his flight, drift and variation. Asghar for me doesn't dare to flight the ball enough, he is much more flatter as a spinner hence his spin would not be as much as Raza's. Both are very decent in terms of Control I must say
