At times stats can be misleading. Stats can be manipulated to suit agenda. Still they remain the best way to quantify a player or team.
To return to Sidhu's quote what stats can hide is vital. Statsguru is quite comprehensive it doesn't show everything.
For example by stats Kamran is Akmal is a great wicket keeper because he has high ratio of Wickets per match. What statsguru don't show is the number of missed catches drop which is very important to reflect the consistency of WK.
