Can Pakistan avoid a 3-0 humiliation or will this be another sad chapter in our recent Test history?

One thing is for sure, Ben Stokes team will not take their foot off the pedal.

Babar Azam and Co will need to fight very hard to stave off defeat but will they have the mental strength to fight off the challenge?

Sadly I think this could end up being 3-0.

Pakistan's best chance will be to produce a rank turner and hope Abrar can work his magic.

3-0. Non existent pace attack. Bottling in the 2nd innings where everyone gets a start but can’t go all the way with a ton + a tail that doesn’t wag.

Pace attack is worse than West Indies without Shaheen and Naseem.

Spinners are OK. Better than England's at aleast . But it could well ve the whitewash if PAK can't find a couple of Test standard seamers.

What did Naseem do in the first test? He’s too expensive for test cricket and needs more FC exposure.

Rana did a better job at least from an economy perspective (economy of 3 vs Naseem’s 6+). He had far more control and bowled in the right channel.

Tbh I don't know if PAK have any options left. Best hope is if ENG pacers are off colour for the next match. Otherwise, I think whitewash is guaranteed if the gap between pace attacks is so large

I am afraid I have seen nothing in this team which makes me think we can win the final Test.

Avoiding a 0-3 loss will be an achievement.

England have a habit of taking their foot off the gas in dead rubbers, but maybe Stokes is more like a Clive Lloyd or a Steve Waugh and carry on full steam.

Naseem Shah not there, Pakistan pace attack almost non-existent, might as well load up the XI with spinners!

Injury-hit Pakistan face the dread of a first-ever series whitewash at home when they meet a rampant England in the third and final Test in Karachi from Saturday.

Pakistan were close to drawing the first one and winning second, so it means there were quite few good perfmances by these players, so I expect them to get over the line this time, providing the selection is sensible for the pitch and balance of the team. Lets hope Pakistan wins the toss as batting second is not easy especially when England are even better with old ball and 4th or 5th day pitch.

I do not rate him as a Test bowler but just returned deom T20s and that pitch shocked all Pak bowlers first up and England approach too. He was better on second day,but carrying injury in second inning.

No way,Pakistan destined for whitewash.
They have pathetic team selection and playing pathetic cricket..
Pls.for God sake dont play allrounders.you have killed spirit of test cricket
No salman Agha,M Nawaz and the new pacer Ali .
Play Shaan,M.waseem and Nauman instead..
How can you drop Shaan who has been prolific scorer on English circuit..Hard to understand

Pakistan should replace injured players.
Naseem by M Abbas
Imam by Usman salahuddin
Azhar by Kamran ghulam
Then playing 11 should be
Shafique
Shaan
Usman
Babar
Shakeel
Kamran ghulam
Sarfaraz
M.wasim
Abrar
Nauman
M.abbas

Exactly this.
Pakistan came within about half an hour of drawing the first test and really quite close to getting the second innings total.
All depends on the pitch — to be honest their best bet is a rank turner, which will expose the techniques of all the English batsmen, with the exception of Root.
(India did this pretty successfully in England’s last tour there).
Would negate the English seamers (without producing a ridiculous flat track as in Rawalpindi).
Abrar would outbowl Leach (Root does, for goodness sake) and it would be enjoyable to see Rehan Ahmed debut.
Would be a fun test, but would only last three days, so not sure PCB are up for that.

England win. I imagine the boys will feel defeated, with series lost. More difficult to motivate yourself for a dead rubber. England to bat first I believe and score 500+.

Stokes says he doesn't play for draws. He backed himself and proved twice. No reason his side can't do it again. It will be a surprise if England doesn't win this one.

Pakistan to win by 5 wickets.

The England players have expended a huge amount of energy winning those two Tests and there is still a viral infection running through their camp.

They will fall to the spin bowlers this time.
Pakistan is a strong team in Karachi.

It would be better for the future of Pakistan's future test status if England win the series 3-0. Heads will inevitably have to roll and a new captain/coach will give us a chance of beating New Zealand in the test series early next year.

A consolation win when England's minds are on their Christmas dinner will not fool me or many others I expect.

Ben Stokes in his presser:

“We won that series before the last Test and there was even more put on to it, knowing that we could become the only English team to register a whitewash in Sri Lanka"

“So, although the series here is done and we’ll still lift the trophy at the end regardless of the result, there’s still an extra bit knowing that we could be one of the very few teams that could walk away from Pakistan with a whitewash series.”

Stokes added that they are considering handing a debut to 18-year-old all-rounder Rehan Ahmed, who would become England’s youngest men’s Test player if he plays in the third match in Karachi, beginning on Saturday.

“We picked Rehan in the squad not just because of his talent and to integrate him, but because it would be a good opportunity to play him if we thought it was necessary,”

“I’m struggling to work out what he is, whether he’s a batter or a leg-spinner, which is good I guess, because it shows how much talent he’s got.

“Having a wrist-spinner is always exciting, especially for England, but it’s not getting too carried away with the potential that he has. Because he is only young, and you’ve still got to nurture talent, no matter how exciting it is.”

3-0 too england day and night difference in captaincy Stoke will play according to pitch and situation babar will follow a script

Win the toss first - worry about the match later.
Having said that - the chases were very gettable in the first 2 games- we just bottled it.
350 isn't a lot in these conditions unless the bowling team has a world class spinner.
We have handed 2 games to England. We have helped grow the legend of bazball when we should have been the first side to take chunks out of it. Very disappointed.
Shan needs to come in for agha and Zahid and Ali need a break.
Zahids performance has basically cost us two games and everybody is going gaga about bazball

England will Bazball their way to victory, and the leg-spinner on debut will bowl Pakistan out in their second innings.

Seems like another spin wicket - Will Pakistan batters come to their senses in this match?

Pak arent playing many bowlers here it seems. Will be a lot of reliance on Abrar to bowl England out.

It looks to me a batting heavy Pak lineup primarily set up to avoid another defeat.

3-0 england, Pakistan have picked just 4 bowlers which includes trash player nauman, fahim and wasim.

How you expecting to take 20 wickets with pie throwers.

Not looking good for Pakistan at the moment. Any lead above 50 will be huge in terms of the mental aspect.

Lead of 30 at the moment for England.

Comms saying they don't see this pitch breaking up.

Looking good for England at the moment especially with Pakistan likely to gift more wickets in their 2nd innings.

One more wicket and England will be easy winners for sure.
