For me, home advantage plays a key part...so host country starts as a favourite. Keeping that in mind, I think below teams has best chance of winning:

2022 World T20 (Australia) - Australia

2023 World Cup (India) - India

2023 World Test Championship (England) - Australia

2024 World T20 (USA) - England

2025 ICC Champions Trophy (Pakistan) - Pakistan

2025 World Test Championship (TBC (prob Ind)) - India

2026 World T20 (India) - Pakistan

2027 World Cup (South Africa) - England

I am quite confident about India winning the 2023 world cup and 2025 test championship.

What is your prediction?

DOESNT MATTER. quality of cricketthese days is much better in all formats. so long as one gets to see strong contests, its fun. good to see pakistan doing well again.south africa too is a decent team again. with the top 6 in good shape and west indies being unpredicatable in the shorter formats, each cup is interesting and any team can win . test championships are at best a combo of luck and schedule. prefer the test rankings and away series wins over some one off test result

To be honest its really difficult to predict the winner of tournaments because in the knockout stages it comes down to just on the day performance. More probability to get the teams that can qualify to the knockout stages right.

However, I would like to think Pakistan will be lifting the 2023 50 overs WC :)

Though understand where you are coming from with WC happening in India, the crowd support and multiple other factors will surely come in especially in those key moments of the game.

Are you talking about DRS? :rabada2 :inti

1) I would be gutted if we (India) don't win the 2023 world cup. The situation is similar to 2011 version when it was the last big tournament at home for stalwarts like Sachin, Zak, Viru etc and they gave their all. Similarly 2023 will be last one for Rohit, Kohli, Dhawan, Shami etc at home and I expect them to deliver. If India can't win the 2023 world cup, they perhaps won't win any for a very long time.

2) Pakistan (with respect) have no chance in 2023 world cup as they are not that good a side yet in 50 over cricket and crowd pressure in India will be too much to handle. Also, they need a good spinner to win a ODI world cup in India. By 2025 however, players like Babar, Shaheen, Rizwan, Fakhar will be mentally much tougher and will be in their absolute primes and if they can generate a half decent spinner, they have great chance of lifting the Champions trophy in home conditions. The same momentum will also hep them lifting the T20 world cup in 2026.

3) If the 2025 WTC finals is in India, we are guaranteed to win it. Only thing we need to ensure is to reach the finals and that would do the job.

Lol! No, no intention at all for any controversy here. :))

Just the grounds, pitches (Slightly varying natures of each ground), practice nets, environment, everything that the home team is used to gives them that extra advantage.

Fair enough. However, I do believe that all teams from sub-continent will not be easy opponents for any team let alone Pakistan in India despite some gaps. As a fan I would be disappointed if Pak does not reach the semis in India (I believe the team is shaping up well with decent bench strength too for such conditions - yes middle order and spin bowling department in terms of specialist spinner leaves a lot to be desired). Once you are in semis then it can go either ways however, India will definitely be the favorite and with number of advantages.

India are big time chokers as they haven’t won a meaningful Tournament in almost 10 years. We can compare them to South Africa as india is 100x bigger market and have money so they should be expected to win every thing. They don’t. And it has to do with handling pressure, infighting, team selection etc.
for example playing 3 wks in semi final against NZ and choking to chase 240

And don’t underestimate pakistan. The gap has narrowed a lot with our boys playing psl, bbl, county and being fit compared to 2010s

India will win everything because thats where the money is.. they should hold all world cups and test championships in india. LOL

Thats why India has not won any ICC events since 2013? LOL

Hard to predict beyond 23, teams would be very different for some teams. Till 23:

T20 22- England (should enjoy flat tracks)

Wc 23- In India so India should be favourites but their white ball bowling is a major concern. Fast bowlers as well as spinners don't look threatening at all. Whatever happened to K. Yadav?

WTC 23- Australia. Let's see if England's crazy form gets them to the final. Haven't done any math tho. Otherwise, Australia should take it this time.

They have already had so many advantages

Wc2015 did well but not enough in sf

Wc icc t20 at home Vs west indies lost a close game

Icc ct lost to us in finals 2017

2019 Against NZ . They got to bat on a sunny day after NZ batted in Clift condition. Lost.

2021 was a horrible outcome for them after playing all of ipl in uae lmao

And not to forget wc test - against NZ lost because of a tall fast bowler like Kylie Jameson destroyed them

Now lost the last test in England on the back of losing a winnable sa series

India is pretty much on track to win the 2023 ODI world cup. The kind of performance we witnessed today and with the likes of KL/Kohli back, safe to say they would be the run away champions.

So smart of you to think they will win the world cup based on the performance of one match.
You may also assume England will not any matches seeing yesterday's performance?

And what after the 2nd odi?

India are favorites. But, so are Australia and England.

Australia generally do well in India.

T20 is too fickle a format to predict anything. Won't be surprised if West Indies or South Africa or even Pakistan end up winning this year.

2021 WTC - India (Gut feeling) :inzi

2023 WC - Australia/England . India doesn't have the team nor they can handle the pressure of home fans like the 2011 batch did.

Second this.

NZ won Test Championship. No one really rates it though. They are a poor travelling team and were in the finals purely out of luck thanks to Covid screwing with the schedule and Australia getting robbed by over-rate penalties.

ICC tournaments are now worthless. They're good timepass for the duration their held but with an ICC tournament every year, they've lost their relevance. It isn't worth anything anymore.

It is a joke that we have a T20 World Cup 10 months after the previous edition. All this to satisfy broadcasters needs.

Don't be a sore loser. NZ played well in that tournament and deserved to win. Them being a poor travelling team has nothing to do with that tournament. If that's the case even India's overall record away from home isn't great either.

ICC tournaments are worthless but IPL which happens every year is meaningful.

If I am not wrong even IPL was organised twice within an year but you didn't complain then? It is better if you stick to IPL and leave international tournaments because it is not worthy according to you. :inti
