France look the strongest since they won the World Cup with Zidane.

Denmark for second place.

I think France are the most likely World Champions.......but they might choose not to win the group.

The winners play the second team in the Argentina / Croatia / Iceland / Nigeria group. But I think that that second placed team will be Argentina.

Nobody wants to risk playing Messi in the Second Round.

So I half-expect France to win the first two games against Australia and Peru, but then field a reserve team to lose to Denmark and finish second. Exactly like West Germany did with Denmark in 1986, so that in the next round they got Morocco (whom they scraped past) rather than Spain (who beat Denmark 5-1 thanks to Jesper Olsen of Manchester United).

Which might not work anyway, because four hours later Argentina plays Nigeria, who might actually knock them out!
