Argentina have huge problems.

I was at the Copa America Final in New Jersey two years ago, which for the second time in 12 months they lost to Chile - who failed to qualify this time.

The star players - Messi, Aguero, Mascherano - were the 2005 World Under 20 Champions. But there is no new talent to do the running for them, and they have become a slow, elderly team dependent upon occasional flashes of magic from a Messi who has played around 40% more football than is advisable in a World Cup year.

I think this group will be too close to call until the final day......when Argentina will probably need to beat a young and vibrant Nigeria whose two full-backs have a combined age of 40, and whose midfield - Mikel, Ndidi and Onazi - are experts at ball retention.
