Promotion & Relegation in Domestic Circuit in Pakistan (At least in QEA Trophy)

So far in this year's QEA trophy Sindh team is embarrassing they have won only 1 game despite the whole tournament being played in karachi. It got me thinking that we have QEA trophy 2nd XI tournament which is boring & nobody cares about that tournament.
So we should start another tournament where 5,6 teams can play but at the end of the season 1 or 2 teams ( Preferably 2) would get relegated. This would improve the value & competitiveness of tournament & teams.

It would be great because teams & players would get better contracts when they are in QEA TROPHY & they would get inferior contracts when they are in 2nd tournament like it happens all over the footballing world.

No becouse with international cricketet might be played at the same time and teams may not have thier best team avaliable.also alot more seniors may play

The English system works exactly like this though. It might even help as one county doesn't hog all of the best international players this way.

I like the idea. Remember this system is brand new and it will take time to get completely right. InshaAllah we should have a competitive and interesting FC season within 5-10 years.

Definitely 6 teams are not enough for a country which has population of 22 crore, this grade 1 QEA Trophy & Grade 2 QEA Trophy will ensure that we have 12 teams in domestic circuit atleast for 1st class cricket & then 2 teams can be relegated & promoted each year.

We have the 2nd XI QeA for this very reason. Hopefully next season, the Associations are fully set-up and Sindh management make better squad selection decisions.

No one really cares about 2nd XI, the standard of players & playing conditions are also worse as compared to 1st XI. In long term we won't be able to get much benefits from 2nd XI QEA, instead if we go with promotions & relegations the standard of our domestic will increase massively.

PCB should implement promotion & Relagation system in domestic cricket, it will certainly improve quality of domestic competitions.
