Protests in Pakistan over Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's death leave multiple dead

We faced a lot of persecution in this country and yet we gave our everything for this nation.

Our nation couldn’t even honour us Shia peoples biggest icon Dr Abdul Salam despite receiving Nobel prize Sunni extremists dug his grave up. Despite all this we always bled for Pakistan.
@Freelancer bhai if this was older moderated PP you would had been banned.

a) Become independent and not rely on being in pockets of those that can dictate its sovereignty or forcefully make it fight their battles (by association or deal with backlash like the GCC countries are experiencing)

b) have an actual regular human being and not a bootlicker in power who can use soft power and intelligent diplomacy that respect Pak’s sovereignty but still build connections with other nations without selling out.

It’s a balance of not antagonizing yourself against the whole world but also not selling out.

I think with f22 and f35...if the country doesn't have nuclear submarines or second strike ability .the only thing protecting it is number of nukes, ability to hide their location and actual number, delivery systems and options, and preventing intelligence compromise.

If the location and number is precisely known...stealth planes can easily take them out followed by massive missile attacks to cripple air force and missile sites. Its easier said than done but hiding the exact number and location is the key.

Agree.

This should be the approach considering today's complex geopolitics.

Also it helps that your primary foe is a dunce who crashes planes left right and centre even during peacetime, leave alone war.

Putting the military capabilities aside as I think there is no power on earth that can match a combined Israeli/US attack for firepower and technological capability.

Iran has overall performed quite well ( from a purely military geopolitical perspective) It is literally surrounded by US bases and hostile Arab nations but kept the Arabs on their knees for the past few years.

But it has no real allies ( apart from a transactional relationship with Russia) .
However in my eyes the main lesson is that oppressive and inflexible power structures give rise to dissatisfaction that can be very easily penetrated by foreign intelligence agencies and render security essentially pointless as insiders will give away all the secrets.

Our nation isn't a true sovereign republic.
The military+political elite is operating as a dictatorship and looking after its own intterests rather than that of the people in general. There is no vision of a stable democratic and economically prosperous Pakistan. With that in mind it hardly matters to the common public if in future our nukes are taken our or our regimes are changed. Our situation is that of slaves. Change of masters hardly makes any difference to us. 50% of our population is below poverty line. What Pakistaniyat or pride do you expect from the people?

More than 35 People's killed in Pakistan, jabki unka war se koi lena dena ni. .

Itne to USA , Israel, UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi, Qatar jo war main hai vha bhi casuality ni hui.

Idiots hai sab ke sab.

Pakistanis have affinity to religious extremism. They will get their rights trampled and not protest but a foreign religious leader who has no affiliation to Pakistan will get these idiots to come out and burn down their own country. Bunch of losers

They will never go to the level of those LOSERS who will kill people for consuming a BEEF BURGER

If Iran assassinated the pope and his family , catholics would also do violent protests in many countries.

This is to explain Muslim and non Muslims what Aya Khamanei represented for Shias. Keep in mind he is not just another Ayatollah (there are close to 80-90 of them globally). He holds the position of Supreme leader.

He is like the highest ranking pope.
To Sunnis, his position and respect is that of a Khalifa (it’s not about you agree or disagree with this but rather to explain the emotions involved)

If Netenyahu had been assassinated by the Iranians, I believe Starmer and the rest of the Five Eyes nations would have declared war on Iran. There are different standards for the British Raj and the third world.

How embarrasing. Such cringey people, these protestors with no life.

Maybe come out to the streets and protest the imprisonment of your own leader Imran Khan ?

here its fixed

is this not the guy who showed your female Indian journalist her aukat?
What are you trying to prove by posting random pictures?
You guys should be the last people to talk about “aukat.”
Where was your aukat when you sided with Trump and he is now killing Iranians in the war?
Where is your aukat when you agreed to Trump’s peace mission to work with Israel?

Aukat sir...Aukat

He also happens to be a ruthless dictator, unike the Pope.

They did. The army turned their guns on the protestors, pretty sure it was covered on here.

As you would expect them to.

In similar circumstances against the same army, the Bangladeshis stood firm and got a country.

What's your excuse?

More than good enough, chanting "God save the King" has long been your way to go of course.

No one actually chants God save the King here. Most are too embarrassed by the royal family to even acknowledge them these days. Your views of Britain are quaint but more chance of hearing "you can stick your chicken tikka up your ar*e!"

Whatever makes you fit in - but remember, there's no point doing rona-dhona about Imran Khan if you can't put your money where your mouth is.

It's not my fault if you see my neutral comments about Imran Khan's leadership qualities as rona dhona.

your comments about Imran khan are far from neutral you seem really sucked into Imran khan you actually go out of your way to pick fights and defend imran khan.

respect to brother @DeadlyVenom he is the most neutral person on this forum no matter what the topic is, i have Hugh Hugh respect for hi, he might even be a PTI support i don't know but he's the most fairest person here.

Seeing Nigerian Shias blows my mind. But killing Khamenei was always going to have global consequences as unlike Maduro, he was both a political and spiritual leader.

I can answer, but I don’t need to answer you. The Sunni–Shia–Wahhabi issue goes back over 1,500 years. It’s a deep religious and historical matter that you clearly don’t understand.

To even begin to grasp it, you’d need to study Islamic history from the time of the Prophet ﷺ — starting with the Khulafa-e-Rashideen, then the era of Muawiyah and Yazid, and continuing all the way to Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab.

So ask yourself: are you actually ready to debate this and defend Wahhabism?

That’s why I’m saying this is a religious matter. You jumping into it without knowledge will only end up embarrassing you.
ho asked for your Islamist Wahhabi lectures, lol? 🤡 🤡

My point is, you are sleeping with Trump, who is killing Muslims.

And that Taliban guys is a believer and Muslim first right? Please enlighten him:uak:uak

Where is your Ummah chest-thumping when you join Trump’s peace mission for Israel?:ROFLMAO:
History and Now

It is true that the issue of Shia-Sunni goes back 1400 years but Muslims lived with each other and side-by-side if we ignore dynastic kingship etc.

Iran and Saudi Arabia are both responsible for ramping up the sectarian tensions and fueling it and funding it with money.

When you Saheeh Bukhari, you will find Shia narrators in it so obviously this wasn't a do or die issue in Islam and people found a way to tolerate each other. The abuse and killings and bombings became mainstream only after Afghan (Soviet) Jihad from both sides.

I and many others lived before 1979 and after 1979. I don't know anything about Shia'ism but take a look at Fatwaas from 1970s onwards and before.

Take a look at the Fatwa (around 1850) and Mufti Rasheed Ahmed Gangohi-RA clearly states that he does not consider Shia Kaafir

Screenshot 2026-03-02 125755.png

A few pages previously, he specifically states that those Shia who curse Sahaba etc are considered "Kaafir" by some so that is the clarification in this Fatwa.

Fatatw-e-Alamgiri, the most authoritive book of Hanafi Fatwaas also does not blanket consider Shias Kaafir.

In the 1980s and now in Pakistan, most Deobandees are near unanimous that Shia are Kaafir so you have to ask what changed???

Same on Shia side! Historically, they did not go around cursing Sahaba and inciting trouble.

But he’s not the pope. He’s a political figure and a very polarising one. I get that people are upset but they need to use common sense when lashing out anger. You can’t go attacking the US consulate. There are consequences

Emotions take over and he’s more important to the Shia’s . They are 12fers, it’s different . Pakistan government is also ordering live ammunition and is allowing their yank masters. People know this , this could pave the way for a downfall of choor

Tough luck. Cussing at me is not going the change the fact that your guru Khamenei is now worm-food. Maybe if he hadn't brutally killed all his domestic critics, he wouldn't be such a reviled figure amongst Iranians worldwide.

This Khamenei is just a dictator under religious garb. He is no different to the plethora of dictators around the world. The difference is Just the attire.

Its been a catastrophix failure for us if Iran falls into the hands of the West because even someone with a single digit IQ can guess the only probably target next for Israel is Pakistan. Our passport literally cries out loud on front page that we hate Israel and we just let a huge buffer state fall right in front of us and even allegedely aided the West in doing so.

This will come back to haunt us in years to come.

Its unfortunate that the people of Pakistan and its dictatorship have such a massive difference in belief.

Statement by our Foreign Minister - Chacha Khawaja Asif

He's spot on with every single point in this. The only problem is, despite this understanding, we have not been able to hold on to one geopolitical agenda and support Iran. Despite all the concerns, Iran remained coordial with us. Now that Iran is about to fall, we become the next target for the Zionists. This exposes our awful foreign policy over the years.

"Zionism is a threat to humanity. From the establishment of Israel on the land of Palestine until today, every catastrophe that has befallen the Islamic world, every war imposed upon it, will show the direct or indirect hand of Zionist ideology and the state. Zionism has controlled the world's economic system for a century. Major powers are held hostage by Zionism.

Our beloved homeland is a nuclear power, and by the grace and help of Allah, the might of our armed forces is recognized worldwide. We are indebted to our martyrs and ghazis that our sovereignty is protected. May Allah shower His blessings upon all those who played a role in making us a nuclear power. Salute to the courage of Nawaz Sharif, who conducted the nuclear tests and let the world know we are a nuclear power.

Despite Iran's readiness for agreement, a war has been imposed upon them, and its agenda, orchestrated by the Zionists, includes bringing Israel's influence right up to Pakistan's border. The joint single point agenda of Afghanistan, Iran, and India will then be enmity towards Pakistan, making our borders insecure, surrounding us with enemies from all sides, and turning Pakistan into a vassal state. It is necessary for all 250 million Pakistanis, regardless of their political or religious affiliations to understand this conspiracy and the intentions of our eternal enemies.

May Allah grant unity to the Islamic world and the ability to recognize its enemies. May Palestine be free. May our homeland remain strong and safe until the Day of Judgment. May the protectors of our soil remain under His shadow. May Almighty be their helper and supporter. Ameen

Another coward who can’t say a single word against the US or Trump, but keeps going on about Zionism. 🤡 🤡
These so-called “Ummah” guys have sold out for money and are sleeping with the US. They can only talk against Israel and Jews but bow to the American government, even when it’s killing their own people. Lol.:D

Salute to the courage of Nawaz Sharif, who conducted the nuclear tests. LMAO.:chacha

Isn’t it strange that more civilians have been killed in Pakistan due to the ongoing Iran–US–Israel war than civilians killed in the Middle East by the thousands of missiles and loitering drones fired by Iran?
:kp

35 dead in Pakistan ? I heard the US Marines put a few bullets into some of the Pakistanis that try to storm the US Embassy.

Exclusive: U.S. Marines fired on protesters storming consulate in Karachi, officials say

U.S. Marines opened fire on demonstrators during the storming of the Karachi consulate over the weekend, two U.S. officials said on Monday—a rare use of force at a diplomatic post that could sharply escalate tensions in the country ‌amid widespread protests over the killing of Iran's leader.

Ten people were killed on Sunday when protesters breached the compound’s outer wall after Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in strikes on Iran.

Citing initial information, the two U.S. officials said it was unclear whether rounds fired by Marines struck or killed anyone. They also did not know whether shots were also fired by others protecting the mission, including private security guards and local police.

This would mark the first confirmation by U.S. officials that Marines were involved in firing at the protestors.

A provincial government spokesman, Sukhdev Assardas Hemnani, said "security" personnel had opened fire, without specifying their affiliation.

Daily security operations at U.S. diplomatic missions are often carried out by private contractors and local forces, and the involvement of Marines in the incident underscores how seriously the consulate viewed the threat.

Pakistan is home to the world’s second‑largest Shi’ite community after Iran. On Monday, Pakistan banned large gatherings nationwide after the protests over the strikes on Iran spread, with 26 people reported dead ‌across the country.

Protesters on Sunday chanted “Death to America! Death to Israel!” outside the consulate, where Reuters reporters heard gunfire and saw tear gas fired in surrounding streets.

Video on social media appeared to show at least one protester firing a weapon toward the consulate and bloodied demonstrators fleeing as shots rang out.

A Karachi police official told Reuters that the shots were fired from inside the consulate premises.

The U.S. Marines referred questions to the U.S. military, which in turn referred questions to the State Department. The State Department did not respond to a request for comment.

Shi’ite community leaders have called for more protests in Lahore and Karachi despite the nationwide ban on public gatherings.

The U.S. embassy in Pakistan is in the capital, Islamabad, and there are two additional consulates in Peshawar and Lahore.

Another humiliating day for the illegal immoral criminal Pakistani puppet regime.

Pakistanis killed by Americans in Pakistan.

We even have supporters of these puppets cheering while men killing their own people.

Pakistan doesn’t need to be attacked, it’s sold out a few years ago .

@bk19xsa any comments?

On a related note - if Iran wants to get some world opinion on their side, they should be repeatedly mentioning the US-backed coup of 1953 where an elected PM was removed in favour of a puppet Shah, as the genesis of US-Iran hostility .. their spokesmen should appear on western media and elsewhere with these talking points.

For some reason, they rarely mention it. Millenials and Gen-Z are not aware of such a history. Even the CIA confessed to it in their official podcast.

I read today that Khameini was actually fairly moderate and was holding the military wing back. Iran's Revolutionary Guard were itching to go full throttle and apparently now they have been unleashed.
