PSL 2018 Match 12: Islamabad United defeat Lahore Qalandars in Super Over after another LQ collapse

Ideal situation for Pak Malinga to debut in PSL. Opponents on the defensive mode and momentum with bowling team.

undercooked youngsters should not be selected so soon; give him 1 more year in domestics

He is actually more of an ODI batsman rather than a T20 one. In T20s Muhktar is a better option. But we hype all these domestic players only for them to fail on the big scene and TTFs reign supreme.
 
I remember Fakhar's first match vs WI. He scored like 20(25) and the knives were out. We're doing the same now with Farhan.

Talat should have come in before Misbah, now watch the Duminy/Misbah tukathalon ala the last match with Talat, Shadab and Faheem getting 10-15 balls towards the end.

With the way things work in Pak cricket you only get one or two chances to impress. If you bottle those because of pressure than you are not International material. Its about how strong you are to handle pressure.

Why are you writing Farhan off when Fakhar was also labelled a “hack” and the PP experts said he wouldn’t be able to put bat onto anything over 135kph?

You don’t learn anything in domestic cricket, he’s already adopted a rubbish stance due to the nature of pitches.

What do you expect from the domestic players if the national captain himself is a fat spin basher :)) whose hitting got exposed yesterday.

Because we gave him million chances based on "Talent" and "let him give full series" and "let him settle down because pitch was bad" and "keeping causing him to perform bad" and "he needs to have a settled position" and many other excuses.
 
Early days for Farhan, won't write him off just yet seeing we gave the Selfies, UAkmals etc chances for years and years.

I'm not completely writing him off... heck he could blast it to all parts in the next match, but since the hype he was getting I expected alot more.

Fakhar was always sent in to bat at 6 or 7 as a slogger. Once he was tried as an opener which is his natural position, he flourished.

But i agree Farhan shouldnt be written off so soon.

lot of issues with his batting; PSL is not the place to start from ground zero; you should already be pretty good and PSL will take you to next level like Hasan and Shadab

Duminy is the key for United. He is the only one capable of going at over 100 S/R.
