Bhai Athar Ali Khan ke deewaney report karain!

This guy is a cult legend!

Alastair Cook & Butcher for T20 cricket, only in Pakistan nevertheless still better than local commies

Can we please sign Soumya Sarkar just for Athar Ali Khan?

Listening to Athar bhai pronounce his name is like music to my ears 🩷

A commentary team for an international event should ideally have atleast one big name from each country. We are missing some big names from Australia, West Indies.

Mark Nicholas. Wow. This star is enough for me alone.

makes sense currently IPL is on main even unless there is another event so that's more likely to shift to sky cricket and PSL on sky mix
It also means more people can watch it, since you don't need a Sky Sports package to watch that channel.

Good to see sky, willow and sony there to broadcast PSL... They are one of the top firms.

Unpopular opinion: The PSL urdu broadcast is a lot insightful than the english broadcast. The urdu guys have a lot more knowlege about the domesitic players and conditions than their overseas counterparts.

Salman Naseer confirmed that according to stats and numbers, the number of viewers increased when they launched the Urdu commentary transmission for PSL. Next year, the PCB will be experimenting with Punjabi and Pashto commentary as well to see if that has an impact on viewership in Pakistan.

Former Pakistani pacer Sohail Tanvir slams Lahore Qalandars' decision to send Asif Ali as opener against Peshawar Zalmi in a recent clash. He was quoted as saying:

"Let me give credit to the scientist who thought sending Asif Ali to open was a masterstroke," Tanvir said sarcastically.

"You sent a power-hitter with zero defensive game to open. I've seen him in the nets—he just swings wildly without footwork," he remarked.

"Bowling with the new ball is an art, and so is playing it. You cannot just send a slogger to face the toughest phase of an innings," he said.

“Facing the new ball against quality pace requires solid technique, especially on a pitch offering movement. Asif had no clue how to handle it.”

I haven't seen many things more absurd than the sensorship of PSL commentary. I knew IPL banned commentators from praising Kapil after he launched ICL with support from Zee TV to rival IPL, and then after Mumbai attacks, they banned Pak players and banned commentary team from mentioning Pakistani Players, but never like this. This team is so stupid. Bazid Khan is the worst of them all. He has zero game knowledge, can not for comment one right thing. In the last match alone this team was so harsh on youngster Sufyan after he let slip a ball for four, which should've been stopped, but in his defense it did get an awkward bounce, and it was justified when they said "It can't be tolerated at this grand stage" but what about Babar's even simpler ground fielding inside the circle, no bounce, just plain and complete disregard of basics, took the eyes off the ball and what should have been a single, ended up being a boundary. Did the Team criticise Babar? No, they were like "You don't expect this from Babar"??? What about this can't be tolerated at this stage and that too from a senior pro? Babar has dropped more catches than anyone in PSL in Zalmi squad. His Batting has been nothing short of horrendous. Saim gets Rossouw, the team goes like "Rossouw has not been scoring runs and it is proved again that he is out of form". Babar gets out against same bowler twice inside 6 balls (On 2nd ball in first match and on 4th Ball in the second match) and nothing, they are like "Babar should have gotten his left leg out of the way" Nothing on his form, nothing on this rivalry and how Babar has been loosing it consistently scoring only 21 runs at Average 5.8 and Strike Rate of 75 and getting out 6 Times. He has scored only 1 run against Aamir in last 7 balls faced getting out 3 times. Nobody thought to mention how bad Babar is against left arm pacers for a player who claims to be the King of Cricket. How humiliatingly he is loosing against his arch rival who is not even in his prime. Babar gets hit on the head and the commentators go like "This is a reminder of you can get hit early in the innings even if you are Babar" WTH, what happened to the basics, never take your eyes off the ball?
It is like they've been explicitly told not to criticize Babar or Rizwan in the PSL. Babar is not even in Top 18 most run getters in PSL X, a league with 6 teams and less than 15 top order batters who have played all 6 games for franchises, in fact only 4 teams have played six games so far. That is how bad he is. His Last Six innings have been 0,1,2,46,56,13 average of 23.4 and Strike Rate 117 a perfect example of How Stats can be misleading without context. While these are well below average but some might argue that 23 is not below average as far as averages go but put in the context and he has scored valuable runs only 2 times out of 6 and 4 times has gotten out inside first 3 overs or so. His only saving grace innings came against Lahore Qalandars where he scored 56 at 133 Strike Rate and remained not out. Which was controversial to say the least because he was saved early in the innings by DRS, ball tracking finding the ball going over the bails on a pitch which had low bounce and to top it all, just in previous over Same Bowler (Haris Rauf) had clean bowled TKC on exactly the same bowl which hit Babar on the pads instead. He can't play left arm swing, He can't play spin very well, he can't field, he can't put fielders in the right place, his bowling changes are all over the place, What can he do? And yet there is no criticism. Why is he so untouchable? His fans are circulating videos like "Babar is Sad" or showing videos of fans gathering around Babar as he leaves to get a glimpse of Babar as proof of his splendor. Well, we live in Pakistan, there's crowd on everything even dogs fighting in the street attracts crowds because we have no entertainment. So shut it pals. His army of PR Agency SAYA Corps is ready to mislead and take advantage of everything. Everything is a news, Babar is sick, hasn't been to barber, hasn't had lunch yet??? It is crazy to say the least.
Second more striking thing was mention of Imran Khan. It is like they've been told not to mention Imran Khan in any capacity. They were talking about Pakistan's Test Skippers and after Waseem Akram they abruptly stopped d said "And many more in the past" what was that about. As much as you may disagree with his political stances and policies or lack thereof, you can not under any circumstances deny that he is one of the most famous Pakistani players of the past. So why bring politics in cricket, Don't mention anything about his political career or fame, but don't deny the man his due credit.
Peace out fellas. I know this is more of a rant than an organized and thought out writing, just had to get it off my chest. This commentary panel is really depressing and low in IQ.
