PSL 9: Crowd Watch

Empty stadium again. Karachi folk don't get inspired by PSL. Maybe cricket is no longer a popular sport there.

PCB needs to respond by shifting the remaining games to Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi

Another day another game in Karachi and a near empty ground.

How can KK expect to do well when they're barely got any home support behind them in the grounds.

Don't know what the situation is in KPK, but would be nice to see games returning to Peshawar, they used to produce great crowds and very sporting wickets.
 
Afridi recommended significantly reducing prices or making entry free. I am strictly against this as this will badly diminish the value of the league. Other cities have no issues paying the same prices for the PSL therefore khi should not get any concessions

Karachi should be blacklisted from hosting any PSL and International games. Very important to teach the city a lesson.

Just a mere observation but I don't tend to see many young men out there in the crowds. Always seems to be more middle aged women filling up the stadiums.

I wonder if the youth are losing interest in cricket?
 
Full house in Rawalpindi for the final match there. IU team rewarded the crowd with the high run chase and qualifying for the playoffs. Team thanked the the crowd for their home support by going on a walk of the entire stadiumw

It would be better to shift the entire National Stadium from Karachi because its current location is in a highly dense and busy area which makes it almost impossible for a person to reach there.

Not sure if that's a good excuse, the stadium used to get filled out easily in the past. It's only during and after Covid where the PCB has had problems in filling the stadium up.
 
Karachi has been a disappointment as far as the crowd is concerned. Really poor numbers to witness there. Final should be shifted to Lahore or rawalpindi. Yes.

Why even play there. Clearly the city of 20 million does not care about it. Shift to other places or atleast make the entry free and see. It's kind of shameful to see empty stands

Karachi Crowd is one big hurdle in transformation of PSL into a Professional Elite Class League.
 
Look who's in the house to watch the qualifier, I am sure they both must be supporting Peshawar Zalmis.

Such a disappointing crowd for Eliminator 2 between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United. At least Karachiites should show some respect for this important match. Really disappointed. Matches should be held in Lahore, Islamabad, or Peshawar where the people are excited to support their teams and players.

Crowd in the stadium is still better tho vs the other days. The PCB should hold the final on Sunday rather than Monday and get the tournament over with.
 
I don't understand why PCB didn't schedule a Weekend final and opted to play in on Monday. We can surely expect more crowds on Weekend rather than on Monday.
 
Maybe arranging the final on Sunday is the worst idea from PSL management, as most people will be resting at home and enjoying the final at home.
 
Shukar Hai Karachites have kept some PSL izzat in the final.

PCB needs to engage with a market research, analysis firm why Karachites don't come to the stadium for all games. Even the KHI Lahore game was poorly attended.
