Title is pretty self-explanatory...

We only know that there are going to 5 teams - Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta and Peshawar - but their franchise names are yet to be decided.

What would your suggestions be?
 
Lahore Badshahs
Peshwar Tare
Islamabad heavens
Quetta Q's
Karachi chokers
 
Lahore Badshahs was a sick name man, but it obviously can't be used now.

Karachi Knights sounds kind of cool, but that is also not so original :))

Karachi Sharks?

Karachi's name should show that it's by the sea. Dolphins isn't intimidating, Sharks is.

Some of the IPL names are cringeworthy, like Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab etc. but some of them are really cool such as Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils etc.

I would prefer the PSL teams to have urdu names, like Lahore Badshah etc., it will distinguish it from the current T20 franchises like Lahore Lions, Peshawar Panthers etc.

Do they have to have corny names ? Why not leave them as Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta ?

At least in that manner it will give the PSL further distinction from other leagues.

I maybe wrong but i think that's because it's franchise cricket they buy franchises not cities and they represent those franchises so they don't have the right to use city names only otherwise they can face legal issues because the citizens of that city didn't selected the team or the team owner.

Good suggestion. Dolphins seems very friendly. Also if the kit creators are creative they can really do well with a shark in the kit design.

I bought it last week and gotta agree with you. Absolutely excellent. Have you played witcher 2? I am thinking of playing it after i get done with witcher 3. :kakmal
 
Would be nice to have some 'normal' names. Not utter rubbish like Chennai Super Kings - which sounds horrible, or Bangalore Royal Challengers, which is named simply to advertise the owners liquor brand.

Would not be averse to using Urdu/Regional Languages for the names either. They are our cities and our teams - we can use our language. Can maybe even better connect with the people of the cities/region that way.

Also, again, I hope they don't go the way of the IPL teams again, and name their city specific franchises after regions - e.g. Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab. Keep it city specific, even if its to simply keep the future prospects of having another team from the same province alive.

dont know about the rest but we need to bring back the badhshahs! the marketing potential alone would be awesome!! Just imagine the ads on tv "the return of the badhshahs" etc etc...mad..
