ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan has secretly married again, this time with a woman he used to visit for spiritual guidance, The News has learnt on good authority.


The PTI chairman inaugurated 2018 by tying the knot with the woman on the night of January 1 in Lahore and came straight from there the next day to appear before the anti-terrorism court in Islamabad that granted him bail.


The nikah was performed by Mufti Saeed, a member of PTI core committee, who was also the nikah khawan when Imran publicly entered into marriage with Reham Khan on January 8, 2015 amid reports of secret nikah in November 2014. Awn Chaudhry and Naeemul Haq though denied the report of the new marriage, the Mufti was reluctant to either confirm or reject this when approached by The News.


The political secretary of the PTI chief, Awn, is believed to have attended the ceremony, something he outright denied during conversation with this correspondent. He also dismissed that the nikah took place. “I have been with Khan to Lahore (on the said dates),” Awn claimed. The News has verified from multiple sources about Awn’s presence in the nikah ceremony. He was also a witness during Imran’s marriage with Reham.


Naeemul Haq, spokesman for the party head, dispelled this impression. Considering my 35-year-long association and keeping in view the fact that I have been privy to his personal life, he noted, I can say with absolute confidence that nothing like this occurred. Even if he marries, he will do after the general elections of 2018, Naeem said.


However, Mufti Saeed was hesitant to issue any denial. The News first approached him on Thursday night to confirm the veracity of information. “I will not say anything on this matter. Please accept my apology,” he said parroting the same line he did when approached after Imran’s marriage with Reham Khan. As this correspondent had conversation with him again Friday morning, he took the same position. But he didn’t reply when explicitly asked three times that would he like to reject the information of having performed nikah of Imran Khan on January 1 in Lahore.


The ceremony took place in Sector Y of Defence Housing Authority, Lahore, at the residence of a close confidante of the bride who also happens to be a friend of a PTI leader. The bride herself lives in Gulberg 3.


The bride filed for the dissolution of her marriage with a government servant some months back. Her former husband confirmed the separation which, he said, they opted for spiritual reasons. He, however, denied her former wife has married Imran.


Imran came in touch with the lady for spiritual guidance a couple of years ago that eventually culminated in the marriage. This is third marriage of Imran Khan. He had first tied the knots with Jemima Khan on May 16, 1995 that ended in divorce after nine years on June 22, 2004. His second marriage was with Reham Khan, then a TV anchor, which continued barely 10 months. Although that marriage was publicly announced on January 8, 2015, there were reports that a nikah had also taken place in early November 2015. Mufti Saeed who was also nikah khawan of that marriage had not commented when asked about the ceremony of November 2015. “Leave that matter,” he had then replied to The News.


Imran, on the other hand, was initially dismissive of marriage with Reham when it was first reported by a senior journalist. “The reports of my marriage are greatly exaggerated,” was his famous tweet on December 31, 2014. Only eight days later, he confirmed it through a public ceremony.

Syed1 does get really insecure when Imran Khan and/or the Pakistani Army are criticized. I wonder who he would vote for if those two options were on the table - Imran Khan, or a military coup?
 
He is married, don’t know why the Junoonis want to hide this news. Lagta hai Khan saab ko sharam arahi hai.

I presume the phenomenon of getting married and separated repeatedly does not reflect well on the optics of the man in this part of the world, particularly one who is regarded as some sort of saint by his supporters - he's no Trump.

KARACHI: Son of the woman alleged to have tied the knot with Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has denied the media reports, ARY News reported.

He declared all reports about Khan’s getting married to his mother as speculative and false.

Bushra Bibi’s son Mohammad Moosa Manika said he had asked his mother but the latter has denied of solemnising marriage with the PTI chief.

“It’s true that my mother is spiritual guide of Imran Khan, however as far as marriage is concerned there’s no truth in it,” he said adding that whoever had spread this news, he must be a shameless man.

To a query of separation between his parents, he said it was a personal matter and he would not like to discuss it in public.

This should be noted that Bushra married with Khawar Manika in 1989 and both of them are religiously inclined towards Sufism.

Amid all these speculations and rumours, some political leaders have even congratulated the PTI chief.

Imran has already had two marriages which failed to survive for longer.

Imran and Reham Khan, former BBC broadcaster, had entered a wedlock on January 8, 2015. Their Nikkah ceremony (marital contract) had taken place at Bani Gala.

Khan is the father of two sons from his previous marriage to British socialite Jemima Goldsmith.

They divorced in 2004, allegedly over the difficulties Jemima faced in Pakistan, where she was hounded for her family’s Jewish ancestry, and his obsession with politics.

Born in 1952 in Lahore into a comfortable family with origins in the Pashtun northwest, he was educated at Aitchison College, the Eton of Pakistan, boarding school in England, and then Oxford University.

He became one of the world’s greatest ever all-rounders — a fearsome fast bowler and dangerous batsman — whose finest hour came at the 1992 World Cup, where at the age of 39 he led an inexperienced team to the title.

AFP adds: Loved by millions across the cricket-obsessed nation for winning Pakistan its only World Cup in 1992, Khan’s sporting prowess and rugged good looks also brought him international celebrity in a country lacking glamour.

He was considered his country’s most eligible man until he suddenly announced his plans to marry shortly after launching a movement to topple the government in August 2014, which he called off in December after a Taliban attack on a school that killed 150 people.

Reham Khan, host of a local TV talk show, was widely criticised after she appeared at public meetings of Imran Khan’s party, with opponents accusing her of seeking to boost her own profile through her husband’s fame.

She found particularly harsh reception in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, governed by the PTI.

She also sparked controversy after it emerged that she had not actually attended a college where she claimed to be a student on her website.

There had been reports Imran Khan’s family was unhappy with his choice of bride.

But its nice see the Nooras reaapear on the forum. Billions stolen- not a a hint of condemnation but IK getting married and they are here like a rash. I bet they have nightmares about IK dragging the Sharifs through the streets.
 
Problem is not whether he married or not, it's his personal decision and he will announce when appropriate time comes.

Problem is Nawaz Sharif's 3rd grade Geo/Jang journalists trying to scandalize this with negative propaganda and insulting remarks.

It's like dream come true for Nawaz supporters who were sick of hearing their fake nazriyati leader getting exposed in corruption scams, they have found a massive scam of Imran Khan which is he got married. Even the so called liberals are issuing fatwas that "hiding a marriage is against Islam" :)) These are people who act like moderates and roshan khayaal but totally support Maryam Safdar's personal attacks against Imran Khan and now this marriage as well.

You can see Nawaz Sharif's admirers even on this thread being sarcastic as if it's some sort of sin. Ironically these people are NEVER found on threads about never ending corruption scandals and other negative campaigns of their beloved leaders

And there is a very good reason for that, Nawaz Sharif's media cell (Jang/Geo group) has been busy attacking Imran Khan's personal life as a counter attack since their leader Nawaz Sharif is in serious trouble due to corruption charges and they are in the news for all the bad reasons like corruption, attacking institutions, trying to secure a deal through Saudis etc. This is the reason you will find all Imran's critics on this thread but no one shows up in threads discussing REAL issues of Pakistan :)
 
If Pakistan was formed on the basis on religion,and religion is the core principle ,then what is wrong in people judging the charismatic leader's personal life which one can say might not be "adhering" to strict Islamic principles as he is an elected leader.

There's nothing unIslamic in marriage, there's no cap on how many times you can marry.

once you are divorced, those marriages don't count and he can still marry 3 more along with the current one(if has married)
 
Pti has just confirmed the proposal.And many pp experts were sure they he has married him though i think this ahould not be even a news,

this is not about being news or not. Its abut how PTI fans started to deny it as if wrong had happened.Even though this isnt wrong

Why would we need to defend him about the news about his marriage. As i said if he is married great and if he isnt then inshallah he gets married soon. Have you noticed that GEO are desperate to pin something on him after their king got humiliated. When was the last time IK said about Maryam having a baby after 4 months of marriage?

Buut it also shows that how much desperate anti pti people are to make something out of nothing and make fake and false news.even some of good posters were claiming here that he has married the lady etc like they are personal secretry of Mr.khan.

This is like Imran's career...started of slow but once he worked hard on his pace and reverse swing kept knocking of wickets....married late in his 40's now after a few years at 3* :ik

'My happy married life had started ruining after Imran became disciple of my ex-wife'

KARACHI: Khawar Fareed Manika, the husband of PTI chief’s faith healer Bushra bibi, on Sunday claimed that his married life had been running smoothly until Imran Khan became a spiritual disciple of his wife three years ago.

Speaking to Geo News, Manika, a senior customs official, said that he had divorced Bushra Manika three months ago and the PTI chief had proposed her former wife after her period of waiting (Iddat) was over.

He said that he was leading a happy married life over the past 30 years but it started ruining when Imran Khan became his and her wife’s spiritual disciple three years ago.

“I had divorced my wife over disturbance caused by domestic issues after the PTI chief became spiritual follower of my former wife,” Manika said.

He said that he had three sons and two daughters from Bushra who is currently living with her parents in Lahore.

The problem is not that he is or isn't getting married.

The problem is the agendas from Geo and the other media loonies, as can be seen above.
 
Geo waalo doob maro for running fake statements of her ex husband. Bughaz e Imran is the reason nooras and geo/jang gang cross all the limits.

Shahbaz Sharif forced a DPO to give divorce to his wife so that he can get married with her (she had kids and was living happily) but well the paid media is never going to talk about the 5th marriage of Shobaz because Imran deserve all the criticism.

Having a baby after only 4 months of marriage means she was 5 months pregnant before she got married. How did that happen? That is in fact illegal in Pakistan, it's called zina.

The reason i brought up Maryam and her "early baby" is because Nooras are quite happy to attack IK"s personal life but he has never hinted at her secrets.

Usually,this kind of a personal life turmoil would be political career suicide for most politicians in the west leave alone subcontinent.

No problem what 2 adults to with their own consent and also Great to see so much progressive attitude on this forum ......Usually divorce or multiple marriages are kind of looked down upon by the common masses in the subcontinent.....I will be impressed and surprised if the masses in Pakistan move beyond this and still vote for Imran's manifesto(whatever that is)

How exactly is he not adhering to religion? Divorce is a part of Islamic law and afaik there seem to be no regulation on multiple marriages either unless you are insinuating he violated some core principles of deen while being married to these multiple women?

Not sure how it works in Pakistan but usually in India or hell even in the USA if someone did not have a stable personal family life it becomes a subject of debate.

Trump's divorces was brought up multiple times but obviously trump has been an anomaly to every rule out there.

I have seen it in India too with likes of Shashi Tharoor etc not able to make a bigger splash than they should .

I don't think it is a religious thing.People just like a leader with a stable personal life or in case of Modi/Vajpayye/Kalam if the story presented is that of a single guy who has sacrificed his life for the country

Jinnah had similar issues in personal life but still ended up being one of the greatest statesman.
 
So, let me get this straight. His chief minister was sitting next to freaking Sami ul Haq in his last press conference and the big news story for N-League supporters is a marriage that may or may not have happened? Wow. Just wow. The fact that something as irrelevant to politics as him getting married is seen as a better reason to attack him than the self styled father of the Taliban sitting next to his Chief Minister says volumes about just how big of a farce all sides of the political spectrum in Pakistan are. Sami ul Haq being part of the mainstream politics should NOT be something that raises zero eyebrows. The great tragedy of Pakistani politics is that the likes of PML and PPP have so many skeletons in their own closets that their opposition could get away with anything and they would have zero standing to challenge them.
