PTI suspends Hamid Khan’s membership for ‘tarnishing’ party’s image

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has suspended basic party membership of Hamid Khan, one of the founding members of PTI, for allegedly tarnishing image of the ruling party in the print and electronic media.

The senior Supreme Court lawyer has also been given seven days to explain his position over allegedly speaking against and defaming the party, according to a notification issued on Sunday.

The decision was taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan, the chairman of the ruling party. “It is noted that you have been repeatedly, in the print and electronic media, spoken against and maligned/defamed the party without any justification, and on the basis of fake and false allegations which amount to malafide,” read the notification.

Hamid Khan was charged with “having committed misconduct, violated party discipline and party constitution by making fake, false, frivolous, wrong allegations, bringing party matters in the media for ulterior motives and thereby acting against party interests and also hurting feeling of party members and workers”.

The senior PTI leader was also barred from speaking against the party on electric and print, as well as, on social media during the inquiry proceedings.

Hamid Khan is the most incompetent lawyer ever. Every single case he represented PTI in he lost. He was more concerned with keeping his personal relations intact and never fully committed to the cause of the party.

To some people Akbar S Babar is still the founding member of PTI and of course holds lot more value than even Imran Khan. The man was kicked out from party about 10 years ago but he is man of honour. Problem is that everyone who don't get their way in party become Reham Khan, either give them what they want or they cry rivers.
I remember back in the days when Hamid Khan was awarded ticket to contest election against Saad Rafiq, people called this family politics as Hamid has some family relation with IK (to justify dynastic politics of Sharifs and Bhuttos). Now that Hamid has been kicked out, he becomes man of integrity

On a different note, Imran Khan hardly has any relatives in his party and Hamid is second one who got kicked out from PTI after Inamullah Niazi (whose brother Hafeezullah spits venom 24/7 on IK sitting on Geo). This man does NOT believe in family politics

Hamid Khan turned sour after he was denied ticket to contest elections in 2018, he has very little personal vote bank so on merit didn't deserve a ticket as opposed to 2013 elections when PTI had very few candidates and Hamid was somewhat well known figure.
