With the recent events unfurling so fast, it's hard to follow the news and get a glance of what each side is saying.

So let's have 2 threads.

Indian Viewpoint & Pakistani Viewpoint

And mods can keep updating the thread title with each development.

I am starting the Indian viewpoint thread.

Its almost a fact that two planes of India have been shot down.

Don't know about pilots but if you wanna bury your head in sand...… sure.
 
what's the point of an indian viewpoint on PP. There's a megathread already, it's better to just post there. If you're trying to push indian propaganda then this isn't the right audience.

Nah. When you have a main thread title which just lists the Pakistani viewpoint, its better to have one with Indian viewpoint too.
 
A picture of one of the pilots has been released.

Second pilot has been sent to hospital for treatment.
 
I feel both countries need start a dialogue. End proxy war from BOTH side. Indian here a very naive if they think India doesn't support Baloch insurgents and others.

RAW stop supporting BLA and TTP and Pakistan should destroy LeT. Work together
 
Feel bad for Wing commander Abhinandan. Never good to see such situations.
 
This is a full scale media war going on. Both sets of media houses are trying to out do each other.

Pakistani media is posting pics of 2016 MIG crash and saying they shot down an Indian MIG which crashed in POK.

Indian media is not claiming Pakistan has denied shooting down any planes and calling them all sorts of names.


Then there are videos of IAF jets running away PAF jets.

Wish there was a neutral source.

India has to respond to the video released by Pak.

If whats being claimed is true (IAF pilot captured) then Modi and BJP will be under tremendous pressure..

If it is fake propaganda a news which gets exposed then Pakistani media will be embarrassed but both sets of media are shameless so it wouldn't affect anyone.

Feel worse for SIF who has gone off the rails slightly since the Kashmir bombing. Patriotism is no bad thing, but better to keep a cool head and see things as they are, involving official armed forces was always going to escalate matters.

Its never good to war monger. Indian war mongers are responsible for this pilot's condition. He has to pay a price for hot headedness of Indians. And what is even worse is that India is rejecting that they lost him.

Terrorists harboring in Pakistan which attacks Indian forces are responsible. Its funny how people forgetting who started it first and who is the evil. India is only doing self defence, which is its right.

India had no right to waltz into Pakistan. You want to eliminate terrorists? Do it. But don't dare step foot in Pakistan. We will respond, and we have quite spectacularly.

Well considering Pakistan set the precedent and disowned hordes of their own men after the Kargil fiasco, maybe Indians feel they need to take that route as well ?

But those terrorists are residing in Pak, like Bin Laden did once. And Pak govt refuses to act on them. So how should India eliminate them? By blowing pipe from India?

Pakistan deserved every bit of this aggression from India. Even international powers like France, Aust etc. is supporting India and asking Pak to take action.

So India got what it deserved today..stop repeating the same bull narrative. PM IK offered to take action if evidence is provided but India ran away. Pakistan is not Iraq or Syria and has a well trained army.

You can continue to lionise your PM and his reckless follies, but this will spell the end for Modi. I can only see an intervention from the USA and allied forces saving him now, as happened with Kargil. If they side with India, then the Indian propaganda might be pushed to allow them to de-escalate with some dignity. Perhaps that was Modi's calculated gamble all along, because otherwise he is surely finished.

Lies. Provide the proof or zip it. This thread is a bit of a fail now that both "viewpoints" are the same. India got humbled. The army's should stop here, their fight is over.

Now it's time for the cricket teams to go to war.

IAF hasn't made an official statement yet. They will soon I suppose.

Dont change the topic. You said Ind can act on terror but should not enter inside Pak. But what they are suppose to do if Jaish camps are based inside Pak and Pak refusing to take action?

Statements from Zee news after DG ISPR briefing:

1) Pakistan is begging for mercy and peace

2) Pakistan is on the backfoot and dont have capability to engage India.

3) Pakistan dont have fuel for Jets thats why they want peace.

4) Pakistan is on its knees begging India for peace.

Ridiculous that they are interpreting calls for peace like this.

Also, why Pakistanis are rejoicing so much with 1 soldier being caught? Its a part of any war...that army will get caught or killed. Bottom line is the motive of the war, a strong message that stop terrorism or else we can go to any level for self defence. Even international powehouses like France and Aust are asking Pak to act on terror.

We are on the same topic. Pakistan is denying involvement for Pulwama. That means India should enter our airspace?

Get it through your head, you can't just waltz into the airspace of the enemy country on the basis of 'allegations'. Ask this Abhinandan, who is at the mercy of his enemies thanks to the policies of your dumb government.

Its been hours, and no mention of aircrafts down. No mention of pilots MIA, combine that with india's rhetoric from yesterday, I hope they don't disown, they have been embarrassed enough.

Yes there was a dreadful act that caused s huge loss of life but IK/Pakistan denied it was from Pakistan.
Indeed the explosives and the vehicle were local and even the kid who carried out the act was local..
So Pakistan asked for evidence from the Indians and said they will act if evidence is provided...

From that the Indian people were whipped into a frenzy and we are we where are now...

Do not talk about who started this without proper evidence.

Even yesterday, when we made out safely, they just gave in basic details and didn't make any comments.

I wish we have someone from our side tweeting about updates but it didn't happen yesterday or today.

Its not about Pak denying....its Jaish who claimed responsibility of the attack. Jaish lives in Pakistan, so shouldnt Pak have interrogated them just to find out if they are guilty or not? The fact that Pak was quick to say, we have nothing to do with Pulwama exposes them more.

Tomorrow if I go on twitter and say I murdered someone, even by joke, the first thing police would do is to interrogate me to be on the safer side.

Pakistan protected terrorists for too long...so much so even Bin Laden was hiding there. So you cant say India attacking Pak....its India fighting as self defence and that is exactly the narrative India is laying infront of UN.

It’s actually quiet sad how the media blatantly makes things up and the people fall for it.

Is the fighting still going on or did it stop? Pak seems to have the bargaining chip with the pilot

India went on that evidence route post 26/11...but what happened? No action and Hafeez Saeed/Lakhvi still roaming freely in Pak. No more proofs for Pak...thanks.

Atleast we shouldn't deny that abhinandan is our man, pak has given enough proof.
After seeing photo of one soldier many people have become silent now what will happen if there is a full fledged war.

The other dangerous factor in all this is that we have an incredibly stupid person in the White House, who probably has no idea where either of the 2 countries are. I cant imagine this escalation under either Clinton or Obama or for that matter, Bush junior. The Inds whipped up such a frenzy that they had to do something, whilst in PK, the top leadership has been excellent,but to no avail, hence this escalation.

I never believed in the conspiracy theories or these false flag attacks but my eyes are being opened to it after the recent events.
