Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2020/21 | Round 7 | December 8-11 | Matches Thread

Really disappointed , umpiring has been worst , they are giving players out to which even 5 year old kid will tell is not out. I saw some decision like hitting batsman around stomach area amd due to strong appeals they were given out umpire crumble due to pressure. So i don't consider these scores they are all fake. Thats why when anyone goes from domestic to international they fail because they won't get dolly decisions in their favour.

Not good enough from saif

definite improvement from last season , he has ingredients to become good. Don't mind him honing his skills as a batsman for nwxt two seasons as he is far from a finished product. He can be one who can be an enforcer in all three formats of the game if the coaches in domestic and NCA can coach him accordingly.

Fans have to wait though , do not push for his inclusion. Sabar ka phal meetha.

Good thing he is constantly getting to 40 plus this is better then a 100 followed by 5 low scores. Now step 2 is turn these forties and fifties to 100's minimum 2 times out of 5

Mediocre returns for Saud in last two games when ball did more for the seamers
I don't believe he is a #3 Ghulam looks to me a better around batsman then Saud.

Absolutely amazing bowling by Zia-ul-Haq. One of the best pace bowling spells I have seen in Domestics FC cricket. There is pace and bounce and Batsmen have no answer. Probably bowling over 140+ kph.

Balochistan batsmen look like tail enders playing. Random 27-30 year old playing. It is the case for all teams. Extra bit of pace from Zia ul haq and they all look hopeless
Poor quality batsmenship. PCB need to invest a lot at the grassroot level

I have always liked him , his bowling is effortless.

Yah there was no need to change his position , he is not a top order batsman.

how many did he score in the 2nd innings?

balochistan is still playing azeem ghumman type players who average 30 after 10 years as a specialist batsman.

They need to find talent for the next season

Asad Shafiq fails again. That’s how you know this system is closer to international standard than before - the domestic bullies aren’t able to bully as much anymore.

Thanks to the matches being played in karachi we are getting almost all the overs in.

you would lose a lot of time in rawalpindi , lahore and sialkot.

Sajid Khan’ seventh five-wicket haul bowled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to a commanding win over Sindh by the margin of an innings and 37 runs and Zia-ul-Haq’s career-best seven for 35 secured Southern Punjab an impressive 205-run win over Sindh on the fourth and final day of the seventh round first-class Quaid-e-Azam Trophy fixtures on Friday.

Sajid’s impressive run of form continued at the State Bank Stadium as the 27-year-old added three wickets to his tally on the fourth and final day of the match as he accounted for Saad Khan (tw0), Hasan Mohsin (15) and Mir Hamza (one) after he had dismissed openers Sharjeel Khan (51) and Omair Bin Yousuf (six) yesterday.

Following the victory, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who pocketed 25 points from the match, leapfrogged Northern to secure the top spot on the six-team points table.

Sajid returned five for 49 to record his fourth five-fer of the ongoing season as Sindh were bowled out for a paltry 148. He played an instrumental role with the figures of three for 66 in dismissing the opposition for 229 in the first innings, following which Khyber Pakhtunkhwa posted a mammoth 414.

Sindh were five wickets down and required 65 more runs to avoid an innings defeat when the play resumed on Friday.

Saud Shakeel failed to add to his overnight 50 as pacer Irfanullah Shah bowled him. All-rounder Hasan was the only batsman to post a double-digit score for Sindh on the last day of the match.

Pacer Mohammad Wasim Jnr was the other notable performer with the ball for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as he bagged three wickets for 37 runs.

At the National Stadium, Zia-ul-Haq celebrated his birthday in style as his career-best seven for 35 helped Southern Punjab to a thumping 205-run win over Balochistan in front of the broadcast cameras.

The left-arm pacer bowled a scorching spell in the morning session as he peppered the opposition batsmen with short-pitched deliveries to create catching opportunities for close-in fielders.

Ayaz Tasawar, who was unbeaten on 25, ran out of partners as Zia’s ran through Balochistan’s middle and lower-order.

His scalps included Akbar-ur-Rehman (57), Taimur Ali (one), Bismillah Khan (0), Kashif Bhatti (four), Umaid Asif (three), Jalat Khan (0) and Taj Wali (0) as Balochistan were bowled out for 199 after starting the play on 112 for two.

Veteran top-order batsman Imran Farhat added 21 runs to his overnight score as he was bowled by another beautiful delivery from Zahid Mahmood on 84 (120 balls, 11 fours). He had the company of Akbar who resumed his knock on 29. Akbar hit four fours from 103 balls he faced.

Southern Punjab gathered 24 points from this match and are now just one point behind Northern, who are ranked second with 104 points.

Balochistan, who could add only four points to their tally, slipped to the fifth position.

Title defenders Central Punjab, who gained 22 points from the victory against Northern yesterday, bounced to the fourth spot. This was Central Punjab’s second win in a row and they will be hoping that the streak continues when they take on Balochistan at the State Bank Stadium in the next round, which begins on 14 December.

In the other two fixtures of the eighth round, Southern Punjab will face Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the UBL Sports Complex, while Sindh will take on Northern at the National Stadium in a contest which will be broadcast in Pakistan and beamed across the globe through PCB’s YouTube Channel.

Yes hes improved from last season but hes been in around the curcuit for a few years with the new talent coming true he has to perform otherwise he wont get a chance to present pakistan.

He was run out by his partner Imran Rafiq who called for it and then sold him a dummy, quickly turning back to save himself. Nothing Saif could do.

Refuse the single its a test match your not going to loose the test match by refusing the single and am sure he got run out in the first innings to didnt he ?

I believe hes a number 5 thats were i see him in my line up.

He made 50

Definitely he is a middle-order player. Not great against pace, but excellent against spin.

The whole idea of the 6 team system was to filter out non performers , now imagine how poor was the quality of the league with like more than a dozen teams.

No wonder our domestic have so many quicks averaing in early twenties. in the last two seasons( including this) , the numbers have begun to show the actual ability.

Imran khan has finally set the direction right , now its time to upgrade the facilities of the coaching team. They need analysts , psychologists and proper trainers. Better and modern training regimes can bring the best out of our players.

Yah , but he has natural ability. I mean if he manages to average 40 he should be promoted to the Pakistan A team. Good strike rotator , excellent 360 game. A bit like pietersen in his stride and bat arc range.

He definitely needs to refine his innings management and close the gap between bat and pad.

Yes he has alot of natural ability agreed. But average of 40 is ok nothing to extraordinary he should be averaging close to 50 to get a chance in pakistan A. I think he has been unlucky azwell as he was messed around in the national cup and the psl he needs to be given a long run in t20 compition.he needs to score a 100

Thats so true to be honest i never used to pay attention to doesmtic but i actually follow it now quite often.this year the bowling has gone better we are not seeing asad shafique score loads of runs which is good to see.i would give credit to wasim khan and the management for setting the direction right along with imran Khan
