Did Islam Destroy Culture?
Dear @BunnyRabbit
This is the biggest nonsense propagated by Hindutva and they jump on every bandwagon regardless of background knowledge or information that "Islam destroyed Native culture and civilization" so there should be some sort of "Ghar Wapsi" of Muslims...
This claim needs to be evaluated and @Suleiman and @sweep_shot have tackled it elsewhere but here is it again.
Ghar Wapsi chapter is closed and @finalfantasy7 is writing a book on it
There is no difference in status between a converted Muslim and someone who has been Muslims for generations EVEN if the ancestors of someone in India/Pakistan/Bangladesh converted from Hinduism, they do not wish to return to Hinduism
The same applies to Assyrians, Islam entered those lands and people converted and nobody wants to return back to worshiping idols!
When people convert to Islam, they change the habits which were part of their lives prior to Islam e.g.:
- Anyone who converts to Islam will quit practices which are associated with Polytheism (celebrations, feasts, clothing etc) because it contradicts Islam
- A woman who converts to Islam from any religion will follow Islamic clothing so her transition is this

As far as non-religious cultural practices, assimilation are concerned then not only Islam does not object to it but encourages assimilation for Dawah, they remain and proofs are as follows:
Below is the picture of Zahīr ud-Dīn Muhammad 14 February 1483 – 26 December 1530 and we have pretty good idea about his features and this painting is fairly close and he clearly looks Turkoman

A few hundred years later here is Bahadur Shah Zafar 24 October 1775 – 7 November 1862, notice the change in features.

This is one of his wives, Zeenat Mahal Begum

Here are his two sons i.e. Princes, left is Jawan Bakht, and on the right is Mirza Shah Abbas, take a good look at their appearance and features.

Assyrians remained under Islamic rule and have survived to this day be them Christians or Polythiests. Those who converted away shun the culture and influence which was Polythistic but their diet, clothing, appearences remain as it was.
@KingKhanWC is visiting Lahore and since 1947 there have been no organized attempts of destorying Sikh history, places of worship by Muslims (either public or Government of Pakistan) unlike what Hindus did to Babri Masjid because Lahore was Muslim before the Sikhs ruled it! No Pakistani Muslim is digging Sikh places of worship and unearthing historic Mosques etc!
Just want to point out that Kannada actress Sanjana Galrani may have converted for the purpose of marriage but she's not a practising Muslim and neither is their kid being raised Muslim in a strict sense.
