Quetta looked good when they batted last night with Will Smeed surprising all - but Sarfaraz has to do something about using Naseem properly.

For Karachi - they need to lift themselves up and all eyes on Mohammad Amir - will he be fit?

Should be an easy win for Quetta. Whoever is selecting Karachi's team, needs to be shown the batting statistics of National T20 cup.

Hasnain’s bowling difference between Australia and pakistan shows in Australia you get away with raw pace but in good batting pitches you need skill

Karachi’s chances of a win are significantly reduced with an early wicket of Sharjeel.

70-30 Quetta to win this

How Sahibzada Farhan can’t play ahead of Lemonby and Clarke is ridiculous!

Tbf Naseem has been bowling very well of late without many wickets to show for it

He deserves a wicket off a poor ball

The same Lewis Gregory won England a match against us when we last played an ODI series there.

In PSL he's looked like a proper tail-ender.

I don't understand how that works

Karachi is an absolute farce of a team. No batters, no bowlers. If they do not come last in this tournament, it'll be a miracle.

Why is Imad so low down the order?

I have a feeling he will save KK today.

I wonder who selects these teams?

That middle order is frighteningly weak.

Imagine if our backup keeper/drinks boy/ travelling Imam leads his side to victory over the national captain.

Babar's bad day at office....

Babar losing it with Taha - bit unfair I thought.

Imad wasim is a proper freeloader

Bowls first few overs with hardly any wickets then disappears completely and bats at the tail doing nothing

That is reasonable no match awareness at all.

Karachi need to get there act right , they cannot afford to loose to many games up front

Babar
Shaheen
Rizwan

Only Rizwan is a captain out of these 3. Even though he isn’t ideal.

Babar didn’t pick Sahibzada Farhan in 2 games, that’s like Manchester City not picking Gareth Barry or any premier league top flight side not picking the local player who knows the league and conditions.

This is the same Babar who Kept an unchanged side even against Namibia and Scotland

KK NRR would have taken a beating with such a performance. But all not lost as MS showed last season in the Pakistan leg of the tournament.

He's a perfect example of a railu katta , glad nawaz had took his spot at intl level.

Shadab and Nawaz should be played in Australia. That is more than enough.

Nawaz is a full batsman , he can bat up the order .

Two spinners and four fast bowlers should be the formula.

Only match 2 and KK looking like a team who has been playing for months.

Sloppy batting, poor fielding and some very ordinary batting.

Sarfaraz Ahmed | Quetta Gladiators captain: The credit for today's win goes to our bowlers. Naseem was outstanding. I just asked my pace bowlers to use their pace. He (Hasnain) had a great domestic season and I'm happy that he's taking advantage of the opportunity here.

Babar Azam | Karachi Kings captain: The wicket wasn't bad. The shot selection wasn't spot-on. We need to work on that and learn from our mistakes. We need to focus on the next game. We'll try not to repeat the same mistakes.

Naseem Shah | Player of the Match: I tried the same in the first game, focused on my lengths and tried my cutters, glad that it worked today. I played CPL and got a nice rhythm. I am working on my rhythm and fitness.

A fiery opening spell from Naseem Shah and an impressive half-century by Ahsan Ali scripted a dominating eight-wicket win for Quetta Gladiators over Karachi Kings.

Naseem Shah provided his team a terrific start after his captain’s decision to bowl with two wickets in his first two balls of the match, which were in the fourth over. He bowled Lewis Gregory right after the completion of powerplay, and returned in the death to account for Mohammad Ilyas and Imad Wasim to become Quetta Gladiators first bowler to record a five-wicket haul and bowl out the opposition for a meagre 113 in 17.3 overs.

Ahsan stroked a breezy 57 not out off 43 – hitting eight fours – as Quetta Gladiators strolled to the target with 25 balls spare.

Other performers:

Sohail Tanvir (two for 29) made his experience count upfront with the wickets of Sharjeel Khan and Joe Clarke that left Karachi Kings reeling at 18 for two at the completion of the third over.

Quotes:

Naseem Shah - I am delighted at my performance today. A five-wicket haul is always special and to do so in T20 cricket for the first time is a great feeling. I got a great start with the back to back wickets and that eased the pressure of me. Once, we had the match in our control, the idea was to attack more and not let the opposition stage a comeback.

This performance has boosted my confidence, and I am eager to build on today’s momentum.

Scores in brief:

Karachi Kings 113 all out, 17.3 overs (Babar Azam 32, Imad Wasim 26, Aamer Yamin 20; Naseem Shah 5-20, Sohail Tanvir 2-29)

Quetta Gladiators 114-2, 15.5 overs (Ahsan Ali 57 not out, Will Smeed 30)

Sloppy batting, poor fielding and some very ordinary batting.

They have picked a coach who hasn't really done a lot of coaching in T20 Cricket. It appears the PSL is poaching up whatever foreign players and coaches they can get their hands on rather than quality players and coaches. Incompetent picks is hurting the image and quality of the league
