This season he was in NZ with Pak team and last season he played 3 or so matches before again being selected somewhere. Some of the young guys just havent been able to play FC cricket much.

Some surfaces support early swing more than the others, not much swing for anybody today. There have been number of pitches which are being used in National Stadium

Other than one knock of Gayle where he got three lives, none of the QG overseas players have delivered any impact
 
Rizwan is on par with Babar Azam in terms of batting. He is playing like an ATG at the moment. A true purple patch.

This is bit of an issue associated with selecting the players this young that they just dont get much game time in domestic cricket to develop their game. Unless someone is just being considered a white ball future, he should be playing 10-15 FC matches atleast before making the international debut. Currently guys like Hasnain and Haider Ali are just not getting enough opportunities to make a claim in red ball cricket as they keep travelling around with the team for white ball cricket and miss part of the domestic red ball cricket as well. This season was more tough with Covid as they had to remain in the biosecure bubble with the whole squad and this didnt get any red ball game time at all.
 
Dhani, Amir and Hasan should replace Rauf, Musa and Wahab in the ODI squad.
 
3 spinners might be the way to end the streak...who knows!

Last 2 seasons we had ociana tours which coincide with our season hopefully no such issues this year. What peeved me most this time around was misbah selection for zim home series and many youngsters lost valuable playing time by just travelling around the country for a useless home series.
 
Lol! What kind of review was this? Nobody even appealed including Sarfaraz.

Yes, hopefully we will see youngsters getting some miles under their belt this season as that makes a huge difference in my opinion in terms of transition to international cricket and overall development.

In a few hours Sri Lanka v/s West Indies T20 series will start, Gayle is set to be back for that series as preparations for the upcoming T20 WC.

That was just too good from Rizwan, nothing much Zahid could have done
 
Sarfraz berates his bowlers depending on how the batsman plays. Zahid bowled a normal decent delivery but Sarfraz berates him because Rizwan hit him for a six.

Top class batting by Rizwan,shots all around the ground and proper shots. Hafeez and Rizwan have improved dramatically.
 
I think rizwan's done enough to prove that he's our first choice opener for the WT20
 
sarfraz captaincy doesnt seem to be his usual standard tbh- seems extra agitated atm and his mind is elsewhere... sad to see
 
With Sarfraz, every boundary hit by the batsman is the bowler's fault. LOL. Thank God, Misbah removed him altogether from the team.

Apparently Hafeez has motivated Rizwan to work on his power hitting.

Hafeez himself said this in a interview.

Rizwan has been the one carrying MS batting for often than not. Some pretty good overseas players have struggled so far in the tournament.
 
The ball is turning too much now. This could get difficult for Multan.
 
The only positive for QG in that wicket was MS lost a review :))
 
Qais not reading the script here, they needed this Masood partnership to last until the 11th-12th over
