Quetta Gladiators (263/3) defeat Islamabad United (154) emphatically by 109 runs to hand hosts their fourth consecutive loss in PSL X

Salman Ali Agha at the post-match interview:

"We generally prefer chasing, especially on a good wicket, but they outplayed us tonight. Once again, our changes were mainly due to players dealing with niggles, and I believe that’s where we lost momentum. T20 cricket is all about momentum, and we just need to identify what’s going wrong.

It's important for us to quickly move past this game because we have another match coming up in two days. We are definitely missing Shadab, and hopefully he will be available for the next game."

Saud Shakeel at the post-match presentation:

"Honestly, I wouldn't have said that we would score 263 if you asked before the match, but I was confident it was a 200-run pitch. Even after the 10-over mark, we were in a great position, and we aimed for a total of around 220-225. But credit to Rilee Rossouw and Hasan Nawaz for the way they played. It's not every day you see two hundreds in a single innings.

As a batting group, a performance like this really boosts your confidence. You mentioned we weren't getting big scores consistently, but our batters have been contributing here and there. I’ve always known we have match-winners in the squad, and each player has the ability to turn the game on its head on any given day. The entire team is riding high on confidence.

Mohammad Amir has been setting us up with the new ball. While he may not take wickets every time, his impact in the powerplay is significant. Today, there wasn’t much assistance for the bowlers, but they stuck to the plan and executed it to perfection."
