Quetta Gladiators v Peshawar Zalmi | PSL 2 | Final | Lahore | Mar 5, 2017 | Match Thread

sarfraz wlll always be a pathetic player.. his biggets problem is that he just cant control his emotions and always try to be over aggressive without realizing that he has limited talent and that he is no dhoni or gilchrist. cant count how many times he has put his team in trouble with his mindless bravodisssm and idiotic jinogosim.

cant forget his most idiotic run out against NZ in the second test match in 2nd innings which triggered the collapse and Pakistan lose the match.

The saviour of Pakistan Cricket, the absolute legend, Anwar Ali steps up. 37-5 now.

Best pace bowling allrounder in now.

Hope he can at least score a few boundaries to make it interesting.

Man, I wish the fans got the chance to see a competitive final. Its turned into a one-sided dud

Saad nasim. What can I say God knows how he's picked ahead of umer amin. I guess friendship helps.

Anwar pulling out at the last moment. Too big a player for wahab :))

thanks to almighty this fake allrounder anwar ali is expose in the final and whole PSL donot

want him any where near pak team.

No excuse for such an appalling pitch. It wasn't like two matches were played in two consecutive days on this surface. It was supposed to be a fresh pitch.

And in the month of March - 7 months into the season.

Next time, people will believe posts that tells compared to PAK domestic wickets, UAE wickets are like WACA. Had 9th March not happened, PAK would have matched ODI ranking in Test as well.

I am for Quetta.

Don't want TTFs Zalmi to win. Anyways, it is just a meaningless T20 tournament. Not like these oldies can emulate these performances on the international stage.

Crowd does not looks like and feel like lahoree...even crowd in Zimbabwey matches was more lahore like
with families and kids, mostly adult males today. strange for a match hyped up so much.

True, but whats the reason for this?

Would there be a better atmosphere if Lahore was playing?
Have fans forgotten how to cheer after lack of cricket in Pak?
Are we not really passionate yet about PSL since this is our first premier league and it needs some seasons under its belt for fans to really have any real attachment to it?

No idea why Umar Amin was not given a single game entire psl...no idea

It was pathetic imo. At least in this match he should have been there. They have forced some mediocre foreign players in there. Umar amin is better than a few of them.

Agree with you here, he is better than Ervine and Van Wyk, heck he is much of an upgrade over Saad Nasim!

Ervine is a dangerous customer, always performs against Pakistan.

Sammy changed the game with his lusty blows.

That ensured a big win - even 125 is safe here. Today, I don't see much dew there - an ODI between 2 equeal sides would have ended like batting 1st 261/9; batting 2nd 134 all-out.

I like Sarfaraz as a player and captain but I'm sad to say that I'm disappointed in his selections in this tournament. He kept on selecting Nasim, Anwar Ali and Shafiq throughout the tournament, earlier Pietersen and Rossouw saved his blushes but when they are not there these bad selections will hurt you.

Shame Sean Ervine isn't playing for his national team anymore, Zimbabwe can't afford to lose players of his calibre.

He walked out of the team in 2004 when the white players went on strike.

Friend anwar with a friendly dab over the keeper's head for four.

Exactly, for me he is better batsmen than both. But it is sad to see him not getting a single game while these two played throughout the tournament

They are close friends of sarfaraz. So expected. Honestly when watching saad bat makes me regret not taking cricket seriously.

Because Peshawar's foreign players actually cared. Do you really think the likes of Pietersen and Gayle cared about whether their team qualified for the final? Also Samuels wasn't picked by WI and Jordan wasn't picked by England.

It has something also to do with Javed Afridi as well, he is really good, very likable guy.

Mickey talking a lot of sense. He should be a commie.

wow, MA's knowledge on cricket is very very good...if pak cant succeed under him they simply cant under any other coach is as clear as that...

Have anybody even seen Umar Amin in Faysal bank T20'S? Because that is the reason why he was not selected he is mediocre to say the least.

Saad Nasim and Iftikhar are couple of most limited strokeplayers I have seen in recent memory. Its a shame both got to play the final of psl and that too in Pakistan. Its a shame.

Sean Ervine hasn't played for Zimbabwe since 2004. You're thinking of Craig Ervine.

I remember a left-handed white Zimbabwean doing well against Pakistan in 2013, looked technically correct. Now that I have refreshed my memory, can't believe he is the Sean Ervine that played for Zimbabwe all those years ago. Still looks very good.

Wasnt he injured and did not play in the recent domestic T20 and ODi tournament? The last I noted him playing was for Pak A against Zimbabwe and helped them win the series in couple of ODI's. Am I wrong?

I have to say that anwar might not be very talented but he does have brains.

Yes, but momentum is often key in this format and Quetta felt the heat. Nonetheless, it's s dreadful T20 wicket.

Don't know about the last but in the one I watched in that he batted like a snail in every single game....dont remember the A tour Khan12@Dubawi
