Not really. They've been quiet since the match started and most of them are Zalmi supporters. Plus, shouldn't they be excited of finally cricket in Lahore? Makes no sense.
 
Who is responsible for Gaddafi's wicket - PCB, Punjab Cricket Association, some Corporate or Lahore City Cricket association?

He did not participated in the recent domestic ODI and T20 tournaments where Kami and Butt piled runs. He last batted in Aug/Sep against Zimbabwe for Pak A team. He scored 70+ and 80+ in the next game to help Pak A chase runs.

Why he is not selected here I really dont know but as I said before Sarfaraz has made terrible selections throughout the tournament where Rossouw and Pietersen saved him. This time he will reap what he sowed when it matters the most.

I was confusing Sean Ervine with Sean Williams. Like both players, Ervine was quality back in the day.
 
Lol at Waqar praising Asghar non-stop now, but he showed us his quality last year as well. Why didn't you pick him for the WT20?

Key point he batted well in list A never saw him play a clutch innings in T20's

They were so much focus on security, did not pay attention to The main course.

Ground quality, wicket is poor, lighting on the stadium is very dull, production quality is way below Dubai standard. It's no match to Dubai in many ways. That should be equally concerning to PCB and fans 😾😾

Agree, the match was lost before the start when Quetta lost all its international quartet. But the pitch being so poor hasnt helped viewing either. I'm just happy to see live match in Gaddaffi and people being happy for a change.

These are not curators, these are farmers. They should back to the bloody allotments where they came from as they've no clue how to prepare proper cricket pitches.

PCB should spend some of that money used for executives' travel expenses on a centrally contracted curator like Andy Atkinson who can travel the country and assist with pitch preparation.

They both are not international class keepers, but Kami batting is notch above Sarfi for LOIs. They both play spin well, so million others. But Kami can attack seamers and that's why can play as an opener which he cannot. It allows you to play extra batsmen, big luxury...Sarfraz is same as Malik, Shezad and Hafeez, I am not sure how many spin king Pakistan should play in one team. They are all one dimensional and most teams know that.

Kami is not going to put world on fire but he is better than Sarfraz and Rizwan for that spot.
 
Not just the match the atmosphere in the ground has been really dull...plus this stadium is no match to Dubai's stadium.

Can't take that - this is not August, that the season just started. This ground has hosted at least 25 domestic matches on those 5 strips. Each & every wicket is similar, throughout the season - hence Fawad Alam & Tabis Khan are Bradman & Syd Barnes in PAK Domestics.

There is a basic science of making a cricket wicket, which even you can find by using internet ..... as long as you have the urgency inside that things needs to change & I need to upgrade how to change that.

Lahore produced another slow track where the batsman is forced to tuk tuk and wait for bad deliveries.

It's been an issue in Pak domestic in the last 4/5 years.

I'm talking about when you put "you can't see the bounce on TV" part, nothing to do with the crowd. The production quality hasn't been as good as it was with Sunset+Vine though. But if you want to talk about the crowd, can you blame them? They were good when the game looked competitive and now it's literally the most boring match of the tournament and they're quiet. I'm sure me and you would be the same.

Stats say otherwise Kamran was an average batsman even in his prime.

Kami averages mid 20s in ODIs - he's awful vs all bowlers.

It has been an issue for last 60/70 years - difference was that the 70s & 80s bunch went to polish their cricket somewhere else at the age between 19 to 23.

Agree it was definitely a match winning innings. Without those blows they would have got around 130 at most and it would been a different game. Also pitch has slowed down as they gake went on. Was a good toss to lose for PZ as they would have also fielded first if they won the toss.

Hit out or get out, no point in trying to reach a respectable total as they won't reach it given the struggle thus far.

More reason why talented youngsters shouldn't be asked to play 2-3 seasons in domestics before deciding a call up to national team. As long as PCB are not interested in formatting the basic disciplines in domestics, youngsta beauties should be dragged out from domestics and drafted into county cricket.
 
PZ was always the better side, while QG was floating on their foreigners. But, this wicket spoiled the great day, which is every sense is a great success for PCB & PAK cricket.

Many in crowds look like from outside like KPK where Zalmi have cult following, probably they priced
out lahoree middle class. And also might be Lahorees just wanted to avoid all security stuff. There is some
hysteria around pashtoons in lahore these days because of recent terrorism acts in Lahore.

I think crowd had been fantastic - the did come in numbers after what must had been a rigorous security checking & despite high ticket price. But, it's really, really difficult to motivate cheering a cricket match that was assassinated within 25% of it's distance.

Had it not been Sunday, I probably won't have checked even CI, after Anamul got out.
