So the new regime taking zero chances by not allowing Ramiz mian on the mike for PSL 8.

Would have been good to have him there but I am guessing he himself didn't want to do it.

Will he be missed?

PCB were asked about this and their response

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">According to the PCB, the panel of commentators for PSL 8 were discussed and finalised during the previous Chairman’s time, following which the commentators were locked and engaged by the production company <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Cricket?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Cricket</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/PSL8?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#PSL8</a></p>— Saj Sadiq (@SajSadiqCricket) <a href="https://twitter.com/SajSadiqCricket/status/1622946506721329153?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 7, 2023</a></blockquote>

Probably still sulking

They must have asked him to come back

What the PCB is saying is true. I've heard Michael Clarke was keen to join the commentary team, but he couldn't because the broadcasters had already locked in the commentary team.

Can't blame them. Ramiz has been taking pot shots after pot shots at them and hasn't looked keen to get back into commentary.

Looks like Ramiz's ego got hurt but he needed this reality check because in his little mind, he thought he was an astute reader of the game but the reality is he never had a clue.

Another cricket from the 90s who doesn't understand the demands of the modern game.

But he deserves credit for giving Misbah the belated axe because that took an age for the previous regime to do.

No surprise.

There was no way PCB were going to include him in the commentary team.

Imagine the embarrassment of him ranting on air about the current PCB regime.

Ramiz has been ranting like a jilted lover since his departure. Can he really be surprised by this ?

I'm not supporting the way Sethi came to office but Ramiz's own appointment was politicised, so he can't really be mad about his replacement also being appointed via a political process.
