Rashid Latif apologizes to PCB, citing "Error of Judgement" Update@post#59]

What made him think it’s ok to pop up a tweet in support of RL the moment the news broke about his investigation? What was he smoking? Is he linked/friends with RL in the media circles? Do we need to be cautious of his views too?

But why does he need to be investigated as if he is involved? If anything he should be asked to provide more details so the matter can be investigated but at the moment the PCB is being defensive which is causing more doubts, as if they have something to hide.

Like I said, nothing good will come out of this. It’s just a waste of time and resources, another example of powerful people shutting down an honest man who probably didn’t want to suffer any further and who may have feared that they could even target his family if he didn’t apologize
Again, you seem to be clueless

The “honest man” did try his best to defend his case with whatever flimsy proof he had and was asserting on his social media and tv platforms. He’s mislead a lot of others who I have named here with the same b.s

So the “honest man” spoke honestly by claiming Rizwan fell out of favour with the PCB because of his support for Palestine??

So the “honest man” spoke honestly when he shamelessly claimed Rizwan was ousted from captaincy because Hesson did not like him creating a religious dressing room atmosphere?! Where is the proof of these claims??!

Do you agree that Arfa and Tanveer Ahmed should be investigated?

Ex players should learn their lessons.

By all means criticise where it is deserved. But don't peddle fake news and conspiracy theories. This ain't India.
When has this happened in india by ex players? Such dumb comparisons just take away from your valid points.

What is this "investigation" thing you keep on throwing up? Who will investigate them? Which paragons of virtue and even-handedness are these people who will investigate? They should be looked into but that's it.
The same investigation process that updated the software of Rashid Latif.

Do you agree Tanveer Ahmed, Nauman Niaz and Arfa Feroz must also answer for the nonsense they have spread through a similar narrative?

It would be great if Najam Sethi could somehow replace Mohsin Naqvi as PCB chairman. Sethi has his own issues, but he’s still better than Naqvi. And honestly, if Ehsan Mani Sahib were a bit younger, bringing him back would have been an ideal option.

Nothing but respect for Najam Sethi for having the courage to give this reply to Mohsin Naqvi. It’s really not that hard to understand what he’s suggesting. People will always talk, speculate, and share their opinions about what might be going on. You can’t silence everyone or force people to only say what the PCB wants to hear.

The better approach is to fix your own organization, strengthen it, and actually deliver results. When you do that, anyone spreading fake news will end up looking like a fool on their own, without you needing to take legal action or publicly embarrass someone.

Mad respect for Sethi for saying this.

Have the courage to reply to what I have stated above.

let’s clarify your standards and metrics of honesty here. The same guy who was caught out lying and making up things about Ian Bishop.

What really made me laugh in Naqvi’s tweet was him saying he welcomes Rashid Latif’s apology and is offering him a clean slate. I mean… look who’s out here giving clean slates. Absolute comedy.

With your posts on this thread, you're acting as if your Latif's spokesperson/lawyer. I just hope this isn't voluntary work because you should be remunerated for your efforts. At what rate, I don't know but the level of effort your making should be recognised by Latif and his team. Good job bro.

I don't really believe that Rizwan was removed from the captaincy because of his support for Palestine. That is a ludicrous claim. The whole of Pakistan is already pro-Palestine. But creating a case on Latif through the FIA is an extreme reaction. But then again, that's normal part of any dictatorship...coming down on your critics with an iron fist. Could have just sent a defamation notice, but I guess the dictatorship wanted to send a message...probably because they were scared of the implication that Latif was making, and don't want to see what happens if people start believing it.

I’ve already written many posts explaining the cricketing reasons why Rizwan was removed from the ODI captaincy. I never brought any religious angle into it, even though I genuinely believe some players and maybe even some coaches were uncomfortable with how religious he is. I’m still 100% sure my assessment was right, and I honestly don’t care who agrees or disagrees here.

Rashid and Nauman have also discussed this topic from multiple angles on their YouTube channel too. Anyone would be puzzled by the way PCB keeps playing musical chairs with the captaincy and refuses to commit to one captain long-term. People have every right to question it and look at all possible reasons.

This whole silly situation was created by PCB themselves with their inconsistency over the last couple of years. Naturally, fans, ex-cricketers and cricket analysts will start wondering what’s going on. Rashid shared what his sources told him. Obviously, not everything he hears will turn out to be 100% correct, and you can’t expect him to produce “proof” for every single thing, especially for something like this. But instead of addressing the criticism, PCB chose the one angle where they knew he can’t give evidence and used it to teach him a lesson.

Naqvi went too far by registering a complaint with NCCIA and that was completely unnecessary and way over the top. Rashid was clearly targeted because he and Nauman constantly criticize PCB and most of that criticism is justified. PCB has been unbelievably poor for years and has turned everything into a circus. Fans, ex-players, everyone is questioning them.

Yes, Rashid has his flaws, but he’s still one of the few honest guys left and has been calling out PCB since the days he exposed players for fixing. PCB has created this perfect mess with their captaincy drama, and now they can’t handle the heat. They don’t like being questioned, and with Naqvi backed by powerful friends who act like dictators, they’re trying to silence anyone who speaks up.

Respect for Najam Sethi for saying something that others are not because of fear...

PCB got criticised and they ran to FIA to shut those critics down....
