Hafeez, for all his bad points (which byh thw way are shared by the few i named above), is actually a very very very very good 20/20 player...His fielding is exceptional, had the ability to open and play well as opener and is more then a useful bowler...I'd like you even try and disprove the fact that Hafeez deserves a sport in the international 20/20 team!

And what did he do in the last T20 WC he played? Was normally out in the first over, dropped Gambhir early in the final. The only memory of him was bowling Ponting, other than that he was dead weight.

Then again, Akhtar has made the best of batsmen look like absolute bunnies. I am not advocating Hafeez's inclusion but the fact that he has been the most consistent of all the openers so far, he is sure to get the nod. That is UNLESS Imran Nazir is back to his good ol' destructive self tonight

you are missing the point completely...

He is one of the best fielders and can bowl extremely well in 20/20's and incased you havent realised, but the wickets in the Windies are now slow and taking a lot of turn!!! Just watch ongoing Zimbos vs windies series.

Oh and Hafeez was in the 20/20 team that reached the final in 2007.

Against quality bowling, majority of the Pakistani batsmen has major issues, why single out only Hafeez?

Hafeez is not as bad as most people think, in fact he is much better option in all three format of the game compare to other looser openers.

Yes, I do have a sleective memory unlike you. That is, when I'm looking at a guy whos played international before, I check their record in that regard over Pakistani domestics (where the likes of Naved and Kaneria can get scores of 90).

Sad truth is every opener Pakistan has sucks but Nazir has at least shown he can do SOMETHING at this level, unlike Hafeez who used to be out to an outswinger in the first 5 overs in almost every limited overs game, what's his ODI average again?
