Is there anything more cringeworthy then seeing a bunch of low life's in sunglasses, bow ties and skin fades acting like cheesy gangsters in rented supercars at a low budget wedding venue ?
Was at a Walima in Luton last week, grooms family who are were Kashmiri's from Kohtli, there were about 5 or 6 high end super cars outside in the cramped parking lot, the venue was too small for the number of people invited, half the guests were standing up, groom who looked not much older then 25 was almost beaten up on his special day before he stepped into the venue because he decided to erratically rev one of the rented Lamborghini's right next to my baby boys face while he was being pushed past the car into the venue by his mother in his pushchair, it could have permanently damaged his hearing, these guys have absolutely no brains or class, could have got really nasty but i kept calm not to create a scene but i was fuming inside the whole time!
Not generalizing here but been told it's mainly a Kashmiri thing, I have yet to see these over the top antics at weddings from people from other parts of Pakistan, some Bangladesh wedding have started to copy the trend.
My question is to posters here who are from the UK Kashmiri community,
how do you feel about these type of events?
are they accepted by the older generation in your community?
If you have rented a super car in the past for a family wedding, how much did it cost and was it worth it?
