[Report] PCB contemplates punishing spinner Abrar Ahmed for ignoring medical advice [Post#25]

Abrar Ahmed is making his T20I debut for Pakistan against New Zealand in the 1st T20I. How will his career evolve in T20Is?

Abrar Ahmed during a media interaction at a practice session ahead of the Ireland and England series, said:

"If we talk about the 1992 World Cup or the Champions Trophy 2017, which Saifi Bhai [Sarfaraz Ahmed] brought, trust me, it gives me immense happiness to see them bringing us the World Cup. It is my utmost desire to make all efforts and bring this World Cup to bring happiness to the faces of our nation."

"In captaincy, everything is fine, Alhamdulillah, all good."

"Whether I get the new ball or bowl in the middle overs, it's my responsibility to bowl. First, I'll analyze the wicket and conditions, then I'll bowl accordingly."
 
No Abrar in Pakistan's playing XI against the USA. Is this a sane decision by team management or just a reflection of Dosti Yaari Clique?
 
they have been watching NYC games and think Dallas pitch is same.
only other thing I can think of is they are keeping him back like pakistan once did long time back i think in a t20 or odi world cup with saeed ajmal and just played him in knock outs so teams hadn't had a chance to see him as much in earlier rounds.
 
There's no way Babar is going to play him ahead of Shadab or Iftikhar Chacha. He might as well give up on international cricket and focus on playing in leagues instead.

He could have made the difference against USA. Seriously what has chacha done this whole tournament? How is chacha any different from a no 11 tailender?
 
When Shadab is in the team, how can you expect ABrar to play? I think Babar does not like him or there is some personal stuff going on here otherwise he should have played at least 10 games by now from the last 2 series and the world cup as well.

He will keep warming the bench until PCB decides to drop him.
 
Abrar not playing is indeed a shocker and something on the basis of which Babar needs to be sacked. Even Aamer Jamal should be in the team but at least that can be attributed to the selectors.

Interestingly Pakistan played Shaheen, Naseem, Aamir, Abrar in the first T20 against NZ in April, they bowled NZ out for some 80 odd and won the match easily... After that game this bowling combination has never played together till date.
 
sciatica for those who are not aware is not some willy nilly problem you can ignore; it generally suggests you have some sort of underlying lower back issue (Herniated disc) which only will shows up under a MRI scan. I have had the please of living with this since a very young age so I'm fully aware of all the do's and don'ts.
Now if you guys want the PCB Dr or staff to follow Abrar around 24/7 and make sure he follows all his physio program, because? Abrar doesn't understand that a simple DUA will not fix this pain.

Basically this.

Shadab is being protected at all costs. They tried to hide his awful bowling but then his pathetic batting got exposed.

There’s nowhere to hide now though and if Shadab is not permanently kicked out of the team it will be major injustice to all the upcoming players.
 
It's just to protect shadab that's all. Babar is doing his dosti yaari nonsense.

He knows abrar pretty much closes the door for shadab
 
Abrar Ahmed couldn't show a notable performance for San Francisco Unicorns against Los Angeles Knight Riders in MCL 2024, but he took 1 wicket for 33 runs in 4 overs, and his accuracy was good as he didn't bowl any wides or no-balls.

Abrar will get his golden opportunity with PCB playing 7 home tests in the next 7 months.

Well after getting bashed in mickey mouse leagues, I don’t expect much from Abrar in test cricket.

Even Shadab Khan was a decent spin bowler a few years ago but thanks to playing a gazillion leagues and his own lack of interest in playing 4 day cricket, he is now useless.
 
Abrar's got huge potential.
I think and I hope he is someone who is unselfish and passionate about the game. Someone who works hard continuously on his game and just loves to bowl no matter which format he plays in.
