As per reports, Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has been found guilty of breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the Super Four clash against India in the Asia Cup on September 21. ICC match referee Richie Richardson imposed a fine of 30% of Rauf's match fee for the offence.

Meanwhile, Pakistan batter Sahibzada Farhan escaped with a warning and was not fined, as confirmed by Richardson on Friday.

The game, played in Dubai, turned heated at times. Rauf was seen responding to heckling from Indian fans by making a "6-0" hand gesture and mimicking the downing of aircraft—an apparent reference to the military tensions between India and Pakistan earlier this year. Farhan, after reaching his half-century, had celebrated by mimicking a gunshot.

Fine on Rauf is reasonable but the organizers of the tournament (ACC) are responsible to make sure that the crowd doesn't harass the on-field players too. ACC has done absolutely nothing on that account yet. What steps are being taken to monitor the crowd? Abusive spectators should be thrown out of the ground.

I fully support strict punishment for all players who have recently brought disrepute to the game, Indians and Pakistanis alike, without any bias.

That said, the greater responsibility lies with the administrators. Driven by money and vested interests, they treated players as puppets and pushed them into these despicable actions, provoking countless fans to follow suit with low-level trolling and toxic behaviour.

Rauf please completely humiliate the two trans guys on Sunday. Pakistan government should cover any fines for our players on Sunday. Go all in.

Pretty ironic that Surya was only fined after rauf gestures. Nothing before that.

Surely you can't fine for just 6-0
6 hand gesture then binocular style 0 sign

PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi to pay Haris Rauf's ICC fine after Asia Cup row, report reveals

Pakistan's Mohsin Naqvi, who is the chairman of both Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), will be paying the fine levied upon bowler Haris Rauf for his controversial celebration during the India vs Pakistan group stage match in Dubai in the ongoing Asia Cup tournament.

Pakistan's Samaa TV has learned from its sources that Naqvi will be paying the penalty amount from his own pocket.

Both Rauf and India skipper Suryakumar Yadav were fined 30% of their match fees after they were found guilty of breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the match on September 14.

Sahibzada Farhan, another Pakistani player, was let go with a warning after he performed a gun-firing celebration on scoring a 50 in the match.

"The ICC will not issue any official release on the sanctions till end of the tournament given the sensitivity of the matter," a tournament source PTI spoke to has revealed.

The BCCI, unhappy with the penalty imposed on Yadav, has appealed against the same.

"If the BCCI is unable to defend its captain, who stood by the Indian Army, it would be very poor optics. BCCI as an organisation shouldn't even accept a warning which would also mean that Surya is guilty," PTI quoted a source as saying.

Pakistan had filed a complaint against Suryakumar after he dedicated his team's win over the arch foes on September 14 to the victims of Pahalgam terror attack and the Indian armed forces

Who is giving them these reports 😂😂

Salman Ali Agha during press-match conference:

Q: As captain, do you feel responsible for controlling players’ emotions and behavior on the field?

A: “Every individual has their own style. If a fast bowler shows aggression, that’s fine — it’s part of his game. I give players freedom as long as they don’t disrespect opponents or the country. Everyone knows how to handle their emotions.”

Haris Rauf’s stats in all finals are terrible, an economy of 10 says it all. Always leaking runs when it matters most. He’s already been thrashed enough by Kohli and Rohit in his career, and now his legacy continues with India’s younger batsmen.
Pakistani fans went gaga back when he was in the Big Bash before his national debut, but @Mamoon rightly called it early, he really is the most brainless pacer I have ever seen in LOI cricket. He’s literally handed India two trophies on a platter… lol :D
