Indeed. 400+ replies make this the most posted thread of this season. 2nd one was also CA vs Hawks FC round 1 so yeah rivalry is always good

A big heartbreak for Assassin and a big congratulations to Hawks,couldn't have been a better way to end to season
 
Man so many times I thought this was over. [MENTION=133998]Azzurri[/MENTION]'s wicket. [MENTION=147674]The Viper[/MENTION]'s wicket. [MENTION=138670]The_KING[/MENTION]'s wicket.

My boost finally worked, and Hadlee exceeded all expectations and played such an important knock :hadlee :))

Crazy how Assassins' batting was so dominant that their 95 bat at 7 didn't even get to bat, whereas in our case it went to the last pair and the 95 bat at 7 was the one to play the most decisive knock.

Overall this was probably the game of the season to cap off the rivalry of the season. From the 1st round tie in FC to this - couldn't have gotten any better :salute

Honestly I feel thay if you chose to bowl, we would have lost the toss with our luck and lost the game as well :))

Surprised you chose to bat here when chasing on normal seemed to be the way to go in ODIs time and again.

No regrets batting first. We expected the pitch to behave like this (all settings Average and at BatWorld it was a notch higher):

But it turned out to be a flatbed. Perils of over research late nights I guess. Completely misread it :))

Still with 350 on the board and with our bowling attack comprising of three diamonds and a super spinner, we should have comfortably won. Alas the fast mediums (McGrath and Hamad) had other ideas :))

Oh man - you guys went way back for the research :)))

If you just saw our games, especially since mid-season, most of them were on normal (if not all) and literally each time the chasing team won IIRC. Us and MU have been using that recipe to perfection. In fact if we lost the toss vs MU in the SF, I guarantee you we wouldn't even be here right now :))

In T20s however it's been the opposite for the most part, although there have been exceptions (i.e. you guys beating us round 10).

Alas, whatever happened happened. Not complaining :ashwin

Yeah but the ground attributes of all those Normal pitches were not the same as Batworld, where every setting was "Good". That Rookies XI ground seemed the closest to the Batworld ground attributes with all "Average" setting.

Fair, but all of that (especially deterioration) honestly doesn't mean much at all lol

Regardless, you did make some good calls i.e. a 95 spinner who took 4 wickets. At the end of the day, one team had to lose. Freaking Hadlee scored 81 at nearly a 100 SR so the sim is the sim :))

Yeah I believe the 49th over was the turning point where we needed one wicket to win and you needed 22 in 2 overs. At that stage we were the favourites but then McGrath decided to bowl 7 wides in the over conceding like 16 runs, that proved to be the killer blow in the end.
